The experience is definitely going to vary based on the wireless/wired infrastructure in your house. You'll want to have high-end routers for sure. Mine works a lot better with the Google Fiber routers as opposed to the Netgear routers I used to use.

Disappointing since the concept and setting were cool in the reveal trailer, but not really a surprise since everything they showed since then looked terrible.

Sad but a part of me is glad they are getting ripped for putting out a 5 hour game and then surprised when people complained. Might be worth a $2 rental on Red Box some day.

The nice thing is that the big dog is right behind it. Will pick up The Order on the cheap this summer while enjoying The Show in the very near future.

The release feedback on The Order reminds me a lot of the release of Ryse. Will be interesting to see what it does over its shelf life. Ryse actually did pretty well and found a lot of fans despite its 61 metacritic score and short campaign. Will be interesting to see if The Order is able to find a similar following.

One thing I have noticed is the plummeting prices of the 4K TV's. Saw a 55" 4K TV for $599. That's almost worth it, even if you can't always notice the difference.

I paid a hundred bucks more for mine. But it has been worth every penny.

Interesting numbers for the digital console sales (something that is not reported in NPD numbers). In January alone, there was $263M in digital game sales. 63% of those sales were on the Playstation consoles.

And probably 80% of those Playstation sales came during the Anniversary sale.

Exactly. It's a perfect example of what Steam's been doing for years and Sony's finally figuring it out. Even at a discounted rate, you still can make a ton of money if it's digital.

Console sales figures are in again. PS4 continues to post monthly wins despite being the most expensive console on the market.

This fall is going to be great to watch. More and more, I'm not sure that Sony will be dropping the price even this fall. I'd expect to see more bundles, but I don't think they have to outright drop the price. That's fantastic for them.

As for MS, I'm not sure they will move the price lower just to keep up with Sony. There's not a really compelling reason to do it at this point. Status quo is probably the better option.

Kinda sucks that Uncharted was delayed until next year. I was thinking that would be the time to go out and get a PS4. I've been disappointed with the games so far. It's the same as when the PS3/360 were introduced. The first games were shinier, prettier, stripped down versions of their previous gen equivalents. Is this the third year for the systems now? How long did it take to get whole versions of games last time around? Are we into the second generation of the new systems yet? It seems those have a lot lower failure rates than the opening ones last time around.

Also, that is one huge gold star. You could hang that on your door and people will think you're lead in a movie.

The PS4 and X1 have been out 16 months. 2+ years is usually when you start seeing better games as they ramp down support of the previous systems, though it does seem like the PS3 and 360 have a bit more support as a last gen system compared to previous iterations. This will likely be the last year for full support of those consoles.

Failure rates are definitely down from last generation, though I'd think they'd have to really screw up to beat last gen's failure rates.

It would be borderline shocking to see 2K Sports team up with Microsoft for a X1/PC exclusive solely because EA is already pushing agreements with Microsoft on X1 through the EA Access program that show preference to that system. MS entering an exclusive agreement with 2K to do an exclusive would be a thumb in the eye to EA.

Edit: I'd add that this has 'RBI Baseball reboot' written all over it.

Bottom line: Doubt it's true.

Just saw that some of the assets were purchased from 2K, not that 2K is actually involved. That makes far more sense and is a way to avoid pissing off EA. You don't have any of the 2K people on the project, but you have some of the assets in the hands of a new team.

Pastapadre does a pretty good job of dissecting the post. As I noted before and he notes as well, the Madden/NFL partnership cannot be discounted.

Edit: I'd note that this is a pretty old rumor which for some reason everyone got excited about today on the web.

I think it's likely the game is in development, but I'd be pretty surprised if it were Xbox One exclusive. I dunno that it would be financially feasible without some pretty major incentives from Microsoft.

I'm assuming you're talking about me. It's a ridiculous assertion. I would LOVE to see football games come out that provide options for those of us who haven't bought Madden in several years. It's badly needed. If there were a story that came out today that said NFL 2K16 was coming out exclusively for X1, I'd go out and buy a X1 console tomorrow. It would be a no-brainer IMO.

With that said, anyone assuming that it's going to be anything remotely close to something like that is setting themselves up for a massive level of disappointment. It just doesn't add up.

Better be if they plan on releasing in July. Though I notice those aren't NFL logos and uniforms in the pic.

If it's unlicensed, then it better be very customizable.

I'm not opposed to having multiple consoles. I'm just opposed to having a console with no compelling reason to own it, which is clearly the case right now with the X1 judging by how people are voting with their purchasing power.

A football game that has actual next-gen graphics and forward-thinking developers along the lines of the innovation we saw with NFL2K5 would be a huge coup for any console.
