I got three offers to join towns around FOFC-dolaville, but haven't replied to them. One actually asked me to be a worker of which I have the skills just not so high as some already there. When should I offer to help youse guys?

Could I get an invite to Eldolado. I need to do a bit of shopping. Plus I have some extra funds that need to be plopped in the town account.

Is it alright if I stay a regular part of the town for a while? My jobs are high risk, so I would like to be able to deposit my money into the treasury or bank, so that I wouldn't lost it in the event I pass out.

For joining/leaving towns - every time you leave a town you have to wait 2 hours more to join a new town in addition to the previous wait time, every day this reduces by 5 minutes.

hard to say really, since many were simply founded and left there afterward. Let's say that a newly founded town starts with 500 points and the first 500 point town can be found at rank 1836. A town maxes out at 42800 points and Troutville has 11202 points while El Dolado has 9565 points. Not sure if it was a typo by BYU14 but I see Troutville at #129 and El Dolado at #151. Looks more like it, since El Dolado has never been ahead of Troutville, at least not recently. FM

well, we might not be powerful enough to hit the guy personally, but we will get him a shot on the wrist. Also goes to show that the "no hitting on workers" unspoken rule is indeed well known to most everyone, and when it gets thrown out the window is when a real battle happens... FM

I like the new addition to the Work window (I never noticed it until now - not sure how long it has been there) - the fact that it shows you all jobs open to you at this point (even if you can't do them due to points)

Here's something I plan on doing and I think will work very well for workers/adventurers. I have some high luck jobs which get decent items and some old items I may not need anymore. I am not going to sell anything unless I absolutely need the money that moment to buy something.
This will be my cash because you don't lose items when passing out from a duel or a dangerous job. Then I am going to use all the actual money I get to put in the bank or donate to the town treasury. This way I can stay in the town, donate a lot of money and not worry losing money from someone coming and dueling me. Or from dying from a job. |

oh, and I'm finally coming home guys. I'll be sleeping in El Dolado tonight.
This dang supplies quest is not a tough one, and will give a nice 1600 exp points once done, but let me tell ya, it's all a bunch of low paying jobs. Think about it, 5 corns, 7 beans, 3 turkeys, 9 tobacco, 3 ham, 1 whiskey and 3 salmon. I've so far covered 2/5 of the corns, all the beans, the turkey, 2/9 of the tobacco (which means I've only worked on it one hour since it's 100% return), 2/3 of the ham, the whiskey and 2/3 the salmon and I'm left with only $250 in my pocket after two days on the road. Give me the high pay jobs I can usually do and I'd have about $1000 to my name right now. Guess there's a price to pay for those 1600 exp points. FM

I have like over 40 more labor points then I need for Granite Mining and I have nothing to show for 6 hours of mining. I need some coal as well for another quest. The third quest I have at my disposal is for printing the Western Star but I am still a ways short labor point wise on that one.

LOL! Went to check The West Stats and it was telling I was -153 to do that job. then I sighed and realized I had it on World 7 and I'm a worker over there. Quick swap of the dropdown to world 8 later and now boom, I'm -161 to do that job with my adventurer in world 8. I guess all those points in construction don't really pay off for an adventurer, huh? Oh well... FM

don't remember to be honest. A bit of everything, as quest went, then we founded the town and I started putting it all in construction, even respecing many other skills to put into construction. I really don't have much in the charisma attribute line of skills. I'll respec every once in a while though, plan on doing a couple skill points every two days or do, to keep it as cheap as possible... FM

It helped me to plan out the build I was going with, with my current gear I have 123 point in trading which is most of my points. I got the best trading jobs, so I am going to switch to hiding with future skill points.

dola, not complaining about it. I knew it would throw my character's build around to found the town, but I've had a lot of fun in this world, made the game so much more enjoyable to play with people who like to play it out.
Wouldn't change a thing. FM

I have every trading job possible myself now too. but instead of hiding, I was going to go with appearance for all of my points now instead. (My trading is 102 though, I don't see anything that would benefit from pushing trading hire now) |

Ah, I must have missed that when getting caught up in the thread. It was on Friday afternoon when I was attacked. But I'm not a worker, so I think I was fair game according to the ground rules.

Huckleberry spent about an hour and half dueling in Saltpoint Creek. I dueled two adventurers who were a much higher level than me and only won 1/4 duels. I did beat two soldiers twice each, so overall 5-3 and some decent XP.

Yeah, we discussed marlon433's attacks in the middle of page 52: The West (a western themed browser based RPG) - Page 52 - Front Office Football Central I did send a telegram to their founder and yeah, it was mostly about him not hitting our workers. I'd say duelers and soldiers being hit are things that will happen, just as you probably should be hitting other duelers and soldiers. FM
