Just in case it isn't clear: I am a good guy. When tested I will come up a good guy. Because I am a good guy.

Hell, if we make it to Day 9 I'll start the day off voting for myself. I won't have access tomorrow from work and it takes too much work to defend myself day after day.

On an unrelated note, ran across this from Post #866 in this thread earlier when looking up voting records and bust up laughing while at work (thanks, Qwikshot):

mckerny: Are you seriously going to take credit for finding a thing? That's absurd. You went all out against me since before the end of of Day 7. This was not some plan. You thought beyond a doubt i was bad. You acted accordingly. And you missed. If the game does go on please spare me the idea that today was some master plan.

Having just caught up with today a couple comments:
1. I don't believe Schmidty used the same descriptions with replacements as he did with the originals especially after the whole brilliant thing on D1. I say this with SOME authority having been a replacement (pennywise) myself. 2. I will never ever lie about my availablity. Considering how many times I have posted in this thread, I think I show that I am willing to spend time. I was lurking in it all morning, but there was no discussion, so what could I do? When I'm playing I give it as much time as possible. I will never EVER use schedule as a tactic. |

Since it's so quiet I'll toss out a discussion question:
If you are the last person converted for a win will you consider it a victory in anyway? |

My grandfather died tonight after 7 months of chemo, fighting colon cancer that he just found this past september. It spread fast, and he was brave, but was no match for all the tumors. I try not to share my life with internet people, but I feel it's necessary right now. i don't fell like doing this game tonight. I will try to do something in the next few days, but I can't think right now. If someone wants to start a new one, I won't take offense. I WILL piost in this thread again soon, but tonight, it just seems trivial.

Very sorry to hear about your loss schmidty.
Take your time, however if you would like to get the game finished and don't feel like you could do it you could PM me the game set-up and I'd be willing to finish it up for you. I'm now back from my trip that forced me to pull out of the game.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts guys. This has been tough because my grandpa was like a best friend growing up, but I haven't seen him in the 2 1/2 years that I've been in Washington. I was also pretty sporadic with my calls and such until I found out how quickly things were spreading. Add in the fact that I can't afford to get back to Michigan for the funeral, and things have been tough over the past few days. I've been feeling guilty, depressed and hollow.
I'm going to finish this game up and stop making you guys wait. I'll do the write up this evening. I see there's a new game forming, so hopefully I can get into that, because I really need distractions right now.

You go to sleep tonight feeling down and defeated, but you are still able to fall asleep.
While you dream, you have visions of horrific creatues covered with sharp fangs and huge appendages coming from every orifice standing over your slumbering bodies. Too late, your realize that your "dream" is not fantasy: It is reality. "You" will never wake up again, but you don't care. You're only "thought" is to multiply and destroy for your Mother. The Things Win.

You were, actually. You were the final convert and gave us the win. There was talk of converting you a night earlier, but I was sure we'd be able to get you to help us by voting for Barkeep. The full list that were things on the last day this were hoops, path12, Swaggs, Raiders Army, kingfc, and myself. Last edited by mckerney : 05-06-2006 at 12:54 AM. |

You were the final conversion, so you kind of won. If I remember correctly, it went in this order: Qwikshot (original Thing--RIP), saldana (original Thing--RIP), Hoops, Swaggs, Path, Coffee Warlord (RIP), mckerney (the real bodyguard), Raiders Army, King (who had the double vote role, and then JeeberD. Were there any Thing friendly roles out there? For awhile, we thought st. cronin was, because he kept throwing suspicion away from us, but then he lead the charge against CW. What other roles were out there? We had the terrible run of converting three straight simple scientists with hoops, me, and Path. |
