Should be an entertaining 2nd half. Will Portugal have enough gas in the tank to run with only 10 players against an attacking Dutch side? I see Figo being worthless for the last 15 minutes of the half, if he gets left in, which is probable.

Leading up to that game, they looked pretty average. Even after the US game, more people were unimpressed with the US team than impressed by the German team.

I think Katon and someone else speculated that Lampard has logged so many games in the last 2-3 seasons (some ridiculous numbers I cannot recall off the top of my head) that he's simply worn out. I believe they said that he seemed that way toward the end of the premiership season as well.

No, Germany ran over the USMNT which until this WC NOBODY does. We might lose to good teams 9see Holland firneldy), but we don't get run over like that.

Germany did it and that was reason to believe they had the players to dominate in the WC.

Dempsey might dive a bit much (usually it's more exaggerating than true diving), but he doesn't writh around on the ground?

The only player on USA who does that is Eddie Johnson (and I'm embarrassed to be a USA fan when he does).

Fine, you can say that. But to say there was no contact is just wrong. He put his arm up to box him out and clearly caught him. Whether it deserves a card or not i'll leave up to the ref. I didn't feel to strongly about that one.
