so what is the record for points in a modern NFL game?

Bears up 24-3 with 2 minutes to go in the 1st quarter.

Finley carted off for the Packers. It's a shame if injuries cost them what alot of people thought was a serious Super Bowl run.

Rams had 10 before the game even started so it's close to on pace.

so the TD comes off the board and looks like the bears fumble on the next play.

So Matt Forte is having a pretty good game. Any reason you don't give him one shot with the ball on the goal line there?

I think Martz remembers the ill fated 4 straight runs on the goal line with Forte a few weeks ago.

Texans secondary reminds me of the Giants last yr. Nicks has 100 yds, 2 TD already, with 12:45 left in the 2nd quarter.

They are 3-0 outside of the NFC East. Fear the NFC East.

The Redskins offensive line seems like its self-destructing - McNabb is getting sacked or hit every other play, or so it seems.

And now he runs out of another certain sack and throws a 52 yard bullet.

So, the Lions are up 17-3.

This is the time of the game when they typically shut it down and let their opponent back into the game and take the lead.

Ouch, Clayton goes down with a non-contact injury, and is already in an air cast. I'm making the call now, his season's over.

31-6. I have to say I'm impressed they showed up this much. The Rams seemed at least frisky this year for a bad team. Stafford should be back next week, or soon after.

The two starting QB's for the Bears and Panthers didn't even combine for 100 yards passing between them. Collins threw for 32 yards and had 4 INT for a 6.0 Passing Rating.

MEMO to Collins: It's time to Retire.

Until the Panthers got a FG off one of the INT's, they had scored ZERO points off a turnover this season.

MEMO to Carolina Management: It's time to fire John Fox, I think they have a bye next week, might be a good time to do it.

Hmm, 12-0 Oakland.

At least with Rivers as my QB I won't have to worry about completely shutting down the second half to limit my points. Lets go!

And Arizona ties it up with New Orleans at the hands of Max Hall! On 3rd and goal from the one Hall made a nice move to the inside where three defenders were waiting for him. He gets hit very hard, losing his helmet and the ball. The ball gets picked up by an offensive lineman on the 1 yard line and dives in for the score. 10-10.

Hall so far has made a couple nice passes and seems confident. Not sure how long the confidence will last after taking a few hard hits in the last few drives.

From what I've been reading on a Cards blog, sounds like a typical rookie from Hall so far-threw an INT into double coverage early on, Fitzgerald had to break up another potential INT-and the bad decision to try to run the ball in on the fumble. They got very lucky that Levi Jones recovered it for the TD. But he's shown a lot of courage and balls, and some amount of skill. And hey they may go into the half tied 10-10 which is much more than a Cards fan could have hoped for really.
