I'm recovering from an apendectomy and didn't really read through all these comments or see every play of the game but did Dallas ever call a screen on 3rd and 7-10? Once? It seemed they called some early on on 1st down but if you want to stop a team from just planting your QB every 2nd and 3rd or long, why not try a screen to stop that? It's a basic counter move that works most of the time.

Sorry Vikings, 1 more year can't hurt, can it?

As a long time (30+ years) Viking's fan, all I can say is we've paid our dues.

Bob Dylan in a Pepsi Throwback commercial. I guess at some point you just get too old to care about....whatever it is you have to care about to not want your songs in Pepsi commercials.

Thank you Referees for confirming what a fucking moron the announcer is. Even after being proved wrong he's now saying "his interpretation" is the right one.

Fucking idiot.

It was an incomplete pass.

Well, of course, but Minnesota's going to have that too. That just cancels out. The Saints need every motivational edge possible or they come out very comfortable with themselves and don't play well.

Sounds like a challenge.

Obama will lead us to a new era in American history by banning guns of all sorts, turning us into the ultimate green nation and apologizing to Osama Bin Laden for the American actions which justifiably led to 9/11; oh, and the state of Georgia and everyone in it sucks big donkey balls.

Okay, approaching 100% disagreement.

But that's the same 100% disagreement I have with the statement about just because the team and city are way more deserving. It's the "and city" part I take complete issue with although the notion that the 'Aints are somehow more deserving than the Vikings isn't something I agree with either for that matter. There's just nothing in that sentence I can agree with, whereas in your I could at least agree that there's a "new era in American history" (never mind what I think of that era).

Now that's some spin! Bill O'Reilly would be ashamed of you.

Granted, finding agreement with yours wasn't easy but it's still no more than 100% at worst, same as the other one.

Phil Simms keeps going on about Rex Ryan not challenging the spot of the football, but I thought the replay rule was if moving the football doesn't result in a first down, the ball doesn't move. Or is that incorrect?

No, the ball would move. But if it doesn't result in a first down, the Jets would still lose a timeout.

Yea I am not sure "deserving" is the right word. No one "deserves" their favorite team winning anything. Now do the Saints fans support their team better than anyone else in the NFL today? Sure. Would a win mean more to Saints fans than any collective group of NFL fans in the country? Sure. So it would be a nice story for many people outside of New Orleans to see also.

As a Saints fan, a small bonus to me would be that the Saints being a nice story angle would go away with a Super Bowl win. All that talk muddies the water of actual football conversation.

Jets in position now to take the lead with a td!

Jets have played an excellent game, ALL Defense, which as long as their D keeps playing like this for one more quarter, they can hang around and one drive might give them the win.

I'm glad that, though the score may be low, we finally got a real game. 7 games in the playoffs so far and only one has been competitive so far.

Two yard run handoff to Tomlinson, who doesn't seem to be the LT of old, might have something to do with it.

Especially after that pathetic show of offense in the 3rd quarter by the Chargers and the score going the wrong way for the first time all day.

I think it is absurd for a fan of any team to say their team wants it more or it would mean more to them.

My list of teams to root for in the playoffs may continue to shrink.

It was GB, SD, and NO.

If SD loses I'll be down to one team I'd be willing to root for.

For the most part I would agree with you (especially concerning the Saints), but I believe that teams that win often develop a bit of apathy over the years (Red Wings and Braves come to mind).

Outside of being able to beat the Colts, Rivers is the Romo of the AFC. Until Rivers grows up, I would never pick them to win a playoff game if he is their QB.

Yeah, I have to admit I was shocked when they showed his playoff stats. Just 7 TDs and 7 Ints and only 56% completion. He's 1-2 in TD/INT today.

I never know what do make of this team. They can still win this game though. I don't know if the Jets can put it away completely.
