I have been to road trips all around the SEC and you will not find more visiting fans fed and invited to tailgate than at LSU. And thats in broad daylight where everyone can see. But thats not because LSU fans are any "nicer" than any other fans. Its because so many love to cook and share in what they are proud of(tailgating). Fans don't get meaner or nicer when you cross a boarder or go from one similiar state university to another. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous. LSU has the same "type" of fans as Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas, Georgia, ect ect. LSU fans can be rowdy, but so would any of those universities if they tailgated as long as LSU fans do(because LSU traditionally has so many night games). Alchy would/does make any fan base you may think is polite into a rowdy bunch. Or maybe we just have a high percentage of prisoners that can afford 100 bucks a ticket? |

This, I have heard from multiple sources, is true. Many folks all across the country, Big Ten, SEC, ACC, etc., have said no one tailgates like LSU does.

OK, the video review ref in this Oklahoma/Oregon game has fucked up two reviews in the final two minutes of this game. Complete stupidity. Oregon benefits from two horrible review decisions to take the lead with 45 seconds to go. Just wow.

I have never understood the squib kick. Never. If you're only up by 3 or less, do not squib kick it. The return team almost always gets good field position. The risks of a long return/run back are quite small.

Early indications is that Brohm from Louisville is out 5 weeks due to the ligament in his throwing hand.

Oklahoma got screwed by the replay official. The pass interference call was questionable, but the onside kick play was garbage. Every single replay showed that Oregon touched the ball first before it went 10 yards, and the replay official claimed that there was conclusive video evidence that Oklahoma touched it first. What in the world?

I didn't watch the whole game, as I was watching LSU and Auburn, so I'll just take your word for it. I just don't see how a replay official screws up these calls when they're looking at multiple angles of replays. The officials on the field have to make quick decisions, and I can see where their mistakes come from sometimes. As far as the video review guy goes, though, it's inexcusable.

The even crazier thing that the TV crews were too idiotic to catch is that Oregon never even recovered the kick. You could see clearly just as they were cutting away from the replay each time that the ball was loose between someone's legs. An Oklahoma player simply picked it up, but the officials and everyone else assumed that had happened after someone had torn it away in the scrum. The ball wasn't even in the scrum. I can honestly say the last minute of this game was the single worst minute of sports officiating I've ever seen. Crazy stuff. |

I would never have thought the TCU-Texas Tech game would be 6-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Well, that's what I get for making assumptions based on location. Ah well. Still, the "reputation" you ascribe to LSU is shared by visiting fans from many colleges, so I don't understand why you single them out. But that's your thing, I guess. |

I could get real used to Notre Dame and Miami getting blown out on the same day like this.
That was an incredibly tough loss for Oklahoma, though. People on both sides will be talking about that ending for years. |

I hadn't seen it until I moved to this new neighborhood this year, but I made the mistake of going out last Saturday to run some errands that were sort of close to the stadium. Tailgating is rampant and looks quite savory. I'm going to go to a game in person later this year and we are going to start tailgating very early. |

I think the Oregon-Oklahoma game was just the first phase of an evil referee revolution. In the Tenn-Florida game the officials are going to award themselves 55 points and tag both teams with losses. Then they will urinate on someone. |

I don't think I've ever actually seen a blocked XP run back for a 2-point touchdown. Until now. 6-2 Clemson.

Oklahoma played "not to lose" when they got a 13 point lead late in the game, settled for too many field goals inside the redzone, and had another piss-poor defensive performance. They did not deserve to win this game.
What's really funny is that before the season everyone was saying that Paul Thompson was going to be a liability and the defense was going to carry them. It is actually much closer to being the reverse of that at this point. |

This should not be surprising. Central played well against Boston College and had a shot to win in the last 3 minutes. They also held their own against Michigan and showed that they have some players. It is going to be a tough team to beat this season in the MAC. FIRE UP CHIPS!!! |

Just for the record, I agree with this completely. In fact, Oregon outplayed OU in the 1st half to the point that the Sooners should've been counting their blessings they were even still in that game. Nonetheless, it doesn't change the officiating. Hey, bad calls happen. It's part of the game. You win some, and you lose some. I'm just surprised so many went against the Sooners in such a short period of time. It makes the TT game last year look like a model referee training video. I'm a bit speechless after that one. But congrats to the Ducks and their fans anyway. It was a great game, and there are some very classy Oregon fans out there (at least on the internet). |

That's the last three kicks for Clemson blocked. The first was an XP that caused the 2OT loss against BC, the next two returned for scores. This would be absolutely unacceptable if I was a Clemson fan. Of course, I can't stand Clemson, so it's just amusing. |
