It isn't. It never is when I go through these periods, but I eventually come out of them.

Are you trying to cause problems?

there no more to say. you should reread Skydog posts above. Skydog pm me and we talk. there no more to say.

i was pawn by maximus. for him to fake an email by being someone else and saying that maxmus died and pointing a link to the madden forum about it.

this was pretty sick in my opinion for him to do that. you got to be pretty sick to predend you are dead.

So when you said, 'mounting evidence', what you really meant was, 'no evidence'. I don't begrudge you for wanting to get to the bottom of any scandal that you deem appropriate to get to the bottom of, but I think you need SOME evidence to drag someone's name through the mud. And then to cover up your mistake with more insults ('didn't think anyone could be that gullible/dumb') is inappropriate. Maybe jbmagic gets on your nerves, but I haven't seem him peronally attacking your or anyone else, like you have taken the habit of doing.

"Mounting evidence." Every day that no death notice could be found via internet search was more evidence. No, I didn't search every day, but I've done a Google search once a week, and looked through his hometown newspaper once or twice a month. Since death notices do not always appear immediately, the benefit of the doubt was there early on, but the longer nothing has appeared, the more likely that he was alive. That's the very definition of "mounting evidence," and the things I found last night and this morning confirmed that for me.

That's mounting evidence that Maximus isn't dead, not 'mounting evidence of a very legitimate reason to ban him'. Bubba Wheels posted that Maximum Football would be released in Jan, just because it isn't out yet isn't mounting evidence that he is part of a clever ruse of Matrix Games to trick FOFC.

If someone has abused his ability to edit, it is definately not petty to take away their editing function. But its something that should be applied evenhandedly. And it definately was called for in this case, as jb was out of control.

This thread is outstanding.

Oh, and Maximus is a total prick (unless he really is dead, in which case he's okay in my book).

What was his original name before he changed it to Maximus? I think it was Vulcan, right? That was him wasn't it?

Pretty soon he'll have to kill off his new name once word of this leaks out (I can't wait to see the cross-posting shenanigans at the other forums he visits).

So do I. The only thing that ticked me off about that game is 1) No multiple endings and 2) You couldn't make Ramza a Dark Knight.

Night Sword pwns you.

It's still my favourite console game of all time, though.

FWIW, I think the maximus stuff is completely seprate from the gullible jb stuff. I kind of wish SD had given the maximus revelations their own thread...

I agree with all of this.

I always suspected that Maximus faked his death and did a quick internet search to see if there were any stories about it, and couldn't find any. However, I didn't do much more than that because I didn't really care either way. I didn't want to directly mention my suspicions and look like a jerk if he really was dead. I find this to be impressive sleuthing.

of course there's all those retarded questions he asks in every thread.

i don't think it's an act, unfortunately. i think he's just that off-sync with the rest of the internet. just doesn't have a clue. i don't like his posts with those huge puppy-dog eyes saying "jbmagic don't mean no harm. don't be mad at jb. i no write english well" and everyone falls for it. it's like how do you get mad a puppy when it pees on your floor and looks up at you with its innocent little face? that's jb. but the end-result is that your floor has still been peed on and eventually the cute little innocent act grows tired.

i kinda feel bad for the guy in the sense that he might feel he's doing the board some justice and honestly doesn't have a clue as to how his style of posting or internet personality could rub people the wrong way. but, like the puppy who pees on your floor - that don't make it right, no matter how innocent the puppy is.

I think this is your best post ever.

Humor, truth, great analogies. It has it all.

Well, I think at that point the working assumption was that jb was in on it, since he was the one posting over here - my impression is that once SD and jb had their talk, jb was out of danger of being banned.

All of it. And the range of comments runs the spectrum. What I find so interesting is the passion involved.

But I feel like, just reading through this, is that there is a segment of this board that does not like or is fed up with Skydog and the way he handles the modding. I think that is the real issue here, and they are using jbmagic's simple ness as the weapon of attack. This seems really to be a testing ground for those that are trying gather support for some sort of change.

That is just my take on it, as an impartial observer.
