a 24 movie? That would be interesting, but in terms of the timeline that they use, how does this work out?
1) have 12 two hour movies? 2) have the first ever 24 hour movie? 3) Or somehow have like a trilogy released like the Matrix (very close to eachother) in three hour movies and they skip over or highlight insignificant portions like Jack Bauer having diarhea for 6 hours of the day?

To be honest, I didn't see it coming. Pretty good episode tonight, although I really hope that, as much as I don't want to say it, that Audrey did do it, only so she can't come back after Jack interrogates her and says "how dare you! blah blah blah.." (ala Nina in season one) BUt we will see how it plays out I guess.
And have I said how much Aaron Pierce rocks?

I dont buy it. There has to be a reasonable explanation for that. Or are they just trying to kill everyone. At this rate, they will find Bierko in the last episode, but the Chinese will shoot Jack to death just as Curtis and Bierko shoot eachother to death.
This is also of course after the fact that Bierko and Company assasinate ALL of the Presidential staff and cabinet including the President and First Lady.

Oliegirl says someone else in DoD gave Audrey's name as they sold the info. Definitely plausable.

In the words of Peter Stormare, "Oh snap!"
I hope Wayne doesn't run into any mountain lions... Or forget who he is... Now Jack has to take on the Germans and the Chinese (who if they haven't found out Jack is alive by now, will probably be told by the Germans). Could get tricky.

Let's take a quick look at our "24 Season Checklist"
Outsiders come in to take over CTU? Check. Outsiders who take over CTU don't trust Jack? Check. Hot female spy/assassin? Check. Bad guy caught demands full immunity signed by the president? Check. Someone wandering through the wilds of California? Check. People in CTU eyeing each other suspiciously over their monitors? Check.

As far as playing loose with the "real time" timeline goes, that was one hell of a quick immunity. Does the President just have blank immunity documents in his pocket that he call fill out when needed. This girl went from demanding immunity to having it confirmed by her lawyer in about 3 minutes.

Given the frequency people seem to ask for it, it would make sense for the President to have immunity documents with boiler plate language at the ready at all times. How hard can it be?

This comment goes back to the statements that I thought someone brought up here before (or maybe I heard it on the Sports Junkies) about how Chloe can pull up schematics to anywhere within 3 minutes.

I agree, although it is waning somewhat. The ridiculous story lines are getting to me. The President giving up the Russian President for assassination. The President being a spineless moron. The Chief of Staff involving himself in a plot to give terrorists nerve gas, not to mention assassinating a former president. The President actually taking advice from the Vice President, wth? I think I've only scratched the surface. |

No. I don't think it's a word, but I like using it regardless. I am sure my efforts will not be in vain and one day, ridiciocity will, in fact, be a word. Though, I think the word I was really looking for is: ridiculosity.

Ok, that new chick is just plain CRAZY! And I don't see why they added that kind of character to the show.
I was going to be pissed if they killed Aaron Pierce tonight.

Aaron Pierce should get a spinoff, Aaron Pierce, Bad Ass MoFo.
"Did you see him touch my shoulder?" Jack should have gone penknife on both interrogations. You notice how the whiteshirts were able to take care of Jack (err sorta) but the redshirts are inept. It's like the place that CTU get its redshirts will be the place Starfleet gets their disposable redshirt away team member.

I like the Wayne Palmer character. He has a bit of a Jack edge to him. Could anyone else see him being the heir-apparent to Jack? Not sure how that sotry-line would write at the moment though.

No, the VP was the one that got the call about Wayne Palmer, Logan never heard about it.
I never though he would be smart enough to pull off something like this...interesting to see how deep he goes (like if he actually knew about Cummings, etc...)

My thoughts as well. There's a bit of risk here. Although 24 has never worried about being particularly realistic, I think they'll betray the character they've set up if they make him some kind of "evil mastermind." If, however, this was a plan meant to "make his presidency" that went very wrong at one point or another and now he's trying to clean up the mess, I think it'll work well and be quite intriguing. |

I agree. Although it's also possible that he's not the mastermind at all, but rather a puppet who is being dangled awfully close to the fire. The "mastermind" may still be unknown. Considering the character, it's not hard to see him as a puppet who is scared that things are getting a little too close at this point. I hope he is the mastermind, though. It gives us more reason to dislike him and want to see Jack torturing him with frayed electric wiring. |

At least they are staying true to the spineless President figure and not making him out as a mastermind of it, but rather just a pawn. Or so it seems at this point.
Wow, talk about having a sucky day. Just relaxing at home in bed with the wife when you're pulled into a major conspiracy and end up getting killed just because the person with the evidence chose your bank to hide it in. |
