Agreed. Quit trying to be like the Ravens who seem to lateral on every interception return.

Well yeah, but McNabb looked left, saw guys blanketing his back, and still threw what was clearly a lateral pass. It was insane.

This play too though, was absolutely mind-numbing.

I don't say dumbest of the year.

If the guy had caught the ball that was right in front of him and he went farther (which I don't think he would have which is why I think it was dumb) everyone here would be saying how brilliant it was, even though the risk had been so high.

I feel bad for the Pats. Nuther injury.

Not to mention, I count about 4 former steelers on their team.

yeah but el doesn't usually pull stuff like that. leave it to your running game to get the rest of the 8 yards or whatever. Plaxico would do that, not El.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Niners go 8-8..winning every home game and getting slammed in every road game.

No way in hell. If you get carted off for a knee injury, you are questionable to return for the SEASON. Anything is possible, but I'd be stunned if Harrison comes back within the next month, forget this game.

Maybe some. But others would say how great it was. I am not trying to rip guys for thinking it was a dumb play, because I feel it was a dumb play.

I just think saying dumbest of they year is taking it a little far.

Cowboys respond quickly.

Warner injured a groin in the Cardinals/Seahawks game. He's out for the day.

You are playing a revenge game against the team that knocked you out of the playoffs last year. You've had this game on your mind sinse the beginning of training camp.

You KNOW the team you are playing thrives on idiotic plays and stupid turnovers.

Therefore you know it might be a pretty dumb idea to make any play that could turn disasterous when it isn't needed.

Forget the year, I still stand by my comment that it may be one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen. The year thing isn't even a question for me.

Exactly. Now the strategic advantage in that area is clearly in San Fran's corner.

These announcers have a man crush on the Steelers I think. 9 yard run by Pitt they go ballistic, INT by the Pats and they sound like they are going to fall asleep.

Not to mention after Randal El's idiot lateral all they could do was praise his ability to get open.

Please. Maybe you'll give Ben about 5 years before you start comparing his playoff failures to Kordell. Ben is in his second year now and is facing a Bellicek defense for the third time. I think maybe I'll cut him a little bit of slack if he makes a poor throw or two.

All of Ben's runs are from escaping sacks, only one was a designed run.

His strength and ability to avoid the rush, are very evident today.

Yeah, we can't spare a body for spying. No reason to really.

Put four on the line and drop everyone back, their D-line has been insane this year, and consistent to boot.
