and it sounds like we need to find someone to replace sachmo.

I missed the various bumps somehow. I'd definitely like to be in again, despite being embarassed the last 2 years.

TLK said he would be commish. If for some reason, he can't do it now, I'd be willing to do it.

Awesome. If TLK will just post his acceptance, I'll set it up on the website.

Yeah, I'm more than willing to do it. Let me know if you need any information.

I'll take a look at the league this weekend and we can start thinking about keepers and the draft. I have a feeling we'll also have to fill a spot or two before we draft.

Done. AOB (TLK) is now the commish. Make sure you go to Setup\Teams and Owners, and remove my access, then change the owner of beat this. Sad, but I just won't have the time this year. Luck, guys!

As of now, I'm still waiting to hear back from Danny and DeToxRoxDVHStyle. I'll give them the weekend before looking for folks to replace them. We will go with a tenative date of Friday, August 18th as the deadline to get keepers in, with the draft starting the following Monday. The draft will be an "extended online draft" held on the Sportsline site. Any problems or questions?

I'm in a position this year where I can't make an online draft more than twice a day during the work week (before work or after)... so the time to make a pick affects me this year. If we're required to draft during a workday, I'll have to bow out.... I saw what happened to that once team that kept on running out of time (4 QBs in a row)...

That brings up another question, if the time expires on a team, does the commish override and pick the best available player based on sportsline rankings and/or position he believes that team needs, or does the draft bot "go to work"?

If I recall, it's just your next highest ranked player. Which resulted in 4 QBs being selected in a row for one team... and this was early in the draft, so while teams were picking their 2nd RB or WR, this one team had their backup QB already... I'd like to avoid such a handicap.

I have no problem with any of that. What is the rule on trades? Can we trade players before the draft, ertc...

We used two hours per pick last year and it went pretty well. The pace isn't grueling at all, with about a round finished per day. If you set a list of ten players a day, you should be fine.

I don't really see any other way to do the draft. If you can check the site twice a day, couldn't you keep your list updated? If you have any ideas let me know...
