Centers Andrei Rosovsky- Worried he might not develop as I hoped Zach Parise- Is officially a 4th line type of player Jamie Lundmark- It took a while, but he is a damn good hockey player Alex Steen- Defensive specialist Wings Nik Antropov- Coming off a wonderful season, and he is in his prime Michael Deadmarsh- Im predicting 40, not 50 this year Carlo Colaiacovo- Wasn’t too good last year, but he will rebound Alexi Ponikarovsky- Still a fan favourite, a top penalty killer Greg Spicer- just as I start to doubt him, he puts up almost 30 goals Jason Williams- has come on, and has become a very dangerous player Raffi Torres- A sparkplug who is a fan favourite….I love this guy Vil Paaltenain- Strong rookie year, hopefully will build on it Devan Jance- made the team, and will play on third line Defense Jeff Woywitka- One of the best players in the league Brad Stuart- Brings a lot of talent to replace Pronger Bryan McCabe- could be the captains last year MacGyver- Is there anything he can’t do Mike Card- Will be 7th defenseman Karel Pilar- A rock in his own zone John Doherty- Steady as ever Goalies Mikael Tellqvist- reclaimed his vezina trophy, but lost his Jennings trophy Sebastian Centomo- had to give him 2.5mil as we had no other Goalie NHL ready |

11-2-2013 I just noticed Calgary has completely collapsed. They are terrible this year. Just 3 points ahead of Dallas for last in the league…..IM very surprised as I have there 1st round pick this year, but fully expected it to be a late round pick….I was planning on packaging it with my pick to move up……. 12-2-2013 NHL All-Star Game Team World has won the annual NHL All-Star game with a score of 13-7. Centers: Keith Brocklehurst- Let’s hope he is even half as effective in the NHL as the AHL Nik Antropov- He has become a top 5 player in the league Jamie Lundmark- leveled off, and I like where he is Alex Steen- looking to move him Zach Parise- looking to move him Daniil Markhov- 18 year old will play…. Wingers: Michael Deadmarsh- only 26, he is in his prime Jason Williams- has developed into a legitimate sniper Eric Corson- Rookie expected to score at least 20 goals Devan Jancke- will play on the 4th line, hoping for similar numbers from last year Alex Ponikarovsky- Steady, never a problem with his play…he always delivers whats needed Raffi Torres- played great last year…he’s our sparkplug Vil Paatelainen- another prospect who’s developed into a 3rd liner Defense: Jeff Woywitka- our best defenseman, offensively and defensively Brad Stuart- I expected him to be better last year Carlo Colaiacovo- 3 average season’s as a forward Mike Card- I wanted to move him, but he is still just 27, so I think we will keep him…for know John Doherty- Didn’t get one offer even remotely good enough for him Karel Pilar- Probably won finish the season here Angus MacGyver- didn’t improve like I hoped he would.. Phew... just caught up! Great reading, Johnny - congrats on your cup a few years back.
Looks like my Islanders have fallen on hard times after a nice two-year run - they tried to make it back once more with Forsberg and Theodore a few years later, but full just short of the playoffs. If you could find time to post a brief update on them once in a while, I'd appreciate it.  Again, great work! ~kyle

****LEAFS TRADE**** We needed to turn the team around…..enter the Chicago Black Hawks….They offered me Tom Palat for 2 mid level players that I liked….so I reworked the deal….. 6-12-2014 Toronto Maple Leafs trade Toronto Maple Leafs traded Knut Voronin and Erick Corson to Chicago Blackhawks for Tom Palat Knut and Erick are going to be 1st or 2nd line players….but they were awful this year…..Corson had 3 points in 25 games…..Voronin had 4 points in 22 games..…. So you know what I gave up….your asking what did I get…..I get Tom Palat…a 25 year old coming off a career high 79 points….The key is he is in the last year of his contract, and is already making 3 mil…so he is gonna be getting a big raise….and Chicago can’t afford it 8-12-2014 Tom Palat gets his 1st goal as a Leaf in overtime against the Rangers……Daniil Markhov assisted….. 11-12-2014 Both Nik Antropov and Michael Deadmarsh are continuing with last years electric scoring pace…Deadmarsh has 34 points….Antropov has 35…both in 27 games…..the best 1-2 punch in the league….. 23-12-2014 We really needed to add some depth….so…..Merry Christmas Boyd Deveraux….He signs a 1 year deal worth 5.5 million…..  The NY Islanders have indeed fallen on hard times.....It's been a while sense the above scene has been played out..... They are even worse this year.....18-27-3-4, for just 43 points...2nd last in the NHL... They made a gutsy trade last year acquiring 26 year old Joe Underhill from Minnesota for Mathieu Biron.... Underhill is a Alexander Daigle type....He has a 99 shot rating, and a 81 stickhandling rating...overall, he's a 79 offense...yet he has never been able to put it all together.....a career high 51 points in 55 games with Phoenix in 2012 came right before a bevy of address changes.....Colorado, Buffalo, LA, and Minnesota all gave up on him....Now the Islander's are hoping he can put it all together....reminds me of Jason Williams growing pains, only Underhill has more skill..... This year, Underhill has 15 goals, 11 assists in 50 games The news is not all bad though....They have, next to Daniil Markhov, the best young player in Hockey...22 year old William Hartford (who always scores against Toronto) Code:
