Centers
Andrei Rosovsky- Worried he might not develop as I hoped
Zach Parise- Is officially a 4th line type of player

Michael Deadmarsh- Im predicting 40, not 50 this year
Carlo Colaiacovo- Wasn’t too good last year, but he will rebound
Alexi Ponikarovsky- Still a fan favourite, a top penalty killer
Greg Spicer- just as I start to doubt him, he puts up almost 30 goals
Jason Williams- has come on, and has become a very dangerous player
Raffi Torres- A sparkplug who is a fan favourite….I love this guy
Vil Paaltenain- Strong rookie year, hopefully will build on it
Devan Jance- made the team, and will play on third line

Defense
Jeff Woywitka- One of the best players in the league

Mike Card- Will be 7th defenseman
Karel Pilar- A rock in his own zone

Feb 1- March 13th trade deadline……

11-2-2013 I just noticed Calgary has completely collapsed. They are terrible this year. Just 3 points ahead of Dallas for last in the league…..IM very surprised as I have there 1st round pick this year, but fully expected it to be a late round pick….I was planning on packaging it with my pick to move up…….

12-2-2013 NHL All-Star Game
Team World has won the annual NHL All-Star game with a score of 13-7. Game MVP was Marian Hossa. Antropov had 2 assists….

**** LEAF TRADE ALERT*****
19-2-2013 Toronto Maple Leafs trade
Toronto Maple Leafs traded Andrei Rosovsky to Detroit Red Wings for Keith Brocklehurst

I decided Rosovsky wasn’t gonna be a top 2 center here….And he just isn’t suited for a checking or defensive role….so off he goes to Detroit…..for a player I fell in love with…..23 year old Keith Brocklehurst has spent the whole year in the AHL….44 goals, 69 assists, 113 points in 60 games so far…..HOLY CRAP….Im gonna keep him….Im gonna start him on the rock….but he wont be there for long…he’s too good offensively….

March 14th trade deadline – end of regular season…

Deadline deals….

***** LEAFS TRADE*****
13-3-2013 Toronto Maple Leafs trade
Toronto Maple Leafs traded Seth Dreyer and Riku Hernesniemi to Minnesota Wild for Stewart Simon

This is trading 2 prospects for 1…..Stewart Simon is 21….and like Brocklehurst, is dominating the AHL…..120 points….but his ratings are not very impressive….Minnesota didn’t think he could make it in the NHL….so I gave them 2 solid ahl players that I have given up on…..Dreyer had 20 goals this year….and Hernesniemi has 15 this year…..Im hoping this reshaping of my minor league system will result in some inpact players developing, instead of the fringe players I keep getting…..

14-3-2013 CGY-OTT trade
Calgary Flames traded left wing Emanuel Peter and defenseman Andreas Brecht to Ottawa Senators for goaltender Ray Emery and OTT 4th round pick in 2013 draft

Ottawa trades there starting goalie……oh wait…they brought Lalime back….whatever……

14-3-2013 DAL-NJ trade rumoured
Dallas Stars are rumoured to be planning a trade sending goaltender Denis Potemkin, center Ian Kazmierczak and right wing Gino Guyer to New Jersey Devils for left wing Mike York

13-3-2013 WSH-VAN trade
Washington Capitals traded defenseman Dan Hamhuis and defenseman Tommy Deadmarsh to Vancouver Canucks for center Martin Turgeon and VAN 5th round pick in 2013 draft

12-3-2013 WSH-TB trade
Washington Capitals traded defenseman Jiri Fischer to Tampa Bay Lightning for left wing Stephen Weiss

12-3-2013 OTT-VAN trade
Ottawa Senators traded defenseman Andrei Zyuzin and goaltender Ivan Holla to Vancouver Canucks for center Pierre-Marc Bouchard and VAN 4th round pick in 2013 draft

26-3-2013 since the trade deadline….St. Johns has been flying….while Toronto has been floating….we have fallen to 6th in the conference…..and Antropov, who has a heart trophy contender, has taken too many games off lately…..He does lead the league in assists though….

28-3-2013 Michael Deadmarsh reaches a milestone !
Michael Deadmarsh scored the 300th point of his career in tonight's game against the Florida Panthers on a feed by Nik Antropov. My parents came to see this game so I just had to deliver, our record breaker told a Hockey Night in Canada reporter.

29-3-2013 I think the team read about my complaints…..We beat TB 6-3…..

29-3-2013 Nik Antropov reaches career high !
Nik Antropov marked a new career high in assists with 58 assists after assisting in tonights game against Tampa Bay Lightning on a goal by Bryan McCabe. I'm happy about it but that's it, gotta think other things now, was all he could say after the game.

1-4-2013 Jaromir Jagr has 888 goals….6 away from Gretzky…..He’s and will be retiring after this season…..He’s got 75 points, in 69 games, but I don’t like him too much….so im not gonna save him again……If he wants to break the record, he’s got 4 games to do it……

5-4-2013 Michael Deadmarsh gets his 40th….a career high….still 10 off what I want him to get though….

Jagr has 1 game left….and he needs a hattrick…….

He doesn’t get it…..

2013-14 Toronto Maple Leafs….

Centers:
Keith Brocklehurst- Let’s hope he is even half as effective in the NHL as the AHL
Nik Antropov- He has become a top 5 player in the league
Jamie Lundmark- leveled off, and I like where he is
Alex Steen- looking to move him
Zach Parise- looking to move him
Daniil Markhov- 18 year old will play….

Wingers:
Michael Deadmarsh- only 26, he is in his prime
Jason Williams- has developed into a legitimate sniper
Eric Corson- Rookie expected to score at least 20 goals
Devan Jancke- will play on the 4th line, hoping for similar numbers from last year
Alex Ponikarovsky- Steady, never a problem with his play…he always delivers whats needed
Raffi Torres- played great last year…he’s our sparkplug
Vil Paatelainen- another prospect who’s developed into a 3rd liner

Defense:
Jeff Woywitka- our best defenseman, offensively and defensively
Brad Stuart- I expected him to be better last year
Carlo Colaiacovo- 3 average season’s as a forward
Mike Card- I wanted to move him, but he is still just 27, so I think we will keep him…for know
John Doherty- Didn’t get one offer even remotely good enough for him
Karel Pilar- Probably won finish the season here
Angus MacGyver- didn’t improve like I hoped he would..

Goalies
Mikael Tellqvist- looks like he is losing something…..
Sebastian Centomo- doesn’t look like he has lost anything….

13-10-2013 Jason Allison agrees on a contract.
Jason Allison has signed a $5,500,000 per year, 1 year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced.

Ive decided on signing the reigning hart trophy winner to finish his career at home…..he's from North York.....you Torontonians will know where that is......the rest of you dont need to know......We aren’t that deep this year….we can use him….

14-10-2013 Allison makes his debut on a line with Brocklehurst, and Raffi Torres…Allison gets 2 goals, 1 assists, and scores in OT as we beat Ottawa 6-5…..

16-10-2013 Jason Allison reaches a milestone !
Jason Allison scored the 400th goal of his career in tonight's game against the Vancouver Canucks. I just try and give it my best out there. This one was special though, he said to the press.

16-10-2013 Keith Brocklehurst hurt his ankle, and will be out 2 weeks…..good thing I signed some depth…..

28-10-2013 18 year old Daniil Markhov replaced Brocklehurst on the 2nd line and 1st powerplay unit, and has been great….he has 7 points, in the 6 games he has been there….It just makes my decision on where too put Brocklehurst that much harder

2-11-2013 Brocklehurst returns…I bump Eric Corson from the lineup, but have to juggle the lines….I leave Markhov where he is…..and bump Raffi Torres of the powerplay…..

I must of hit the jackpot on the line combos…cuz we beat the Devils 7-1…..

4-11-2013 Viljami Paatelainen injured.
Viljami Paatelainen (TOR) suffered wrist injury during the game in an incident with Shawn Belle (STL).
That bastard……Shawn Belle is officially an enemy….Vil is out at least 3 months…..

5-11-2013 Quick note….Sense I changed the line combos, we are 3-0, with 19 goals for…..and as you will see below…a super sniper is on fire…..

5-11-2013 Player of the week: Michael Deadmarsh (L)
Mikey gets 7 goals, and 3 assists…in just 4 games last week…..now if only he can keep up this pace….then the world will be mine….HAHAHAHAHA

8-11-2013 Devan Van Oene of the Atlanta Thrashers is officially on my most hated list…..He ran Sebastian Centomo….got ejected from the game…..and was suspended just 6 games….meanwhile….Centomo will miss 2 months with a chest injury….To make matters worse…..Centomo actually took over the starters job about 8 games ago….and was playing lights out….GRRRRRRRRR……DEATH TO VAN OENE……

We sign the current King of Calgary….Mika Kiprusoff to back up Tellqvist….Let’s face it…the 2 goalies we got in the minors aren’t fit to wash Kipper’s jock strap….

22-11-2013 Is this the year….I said is this the year….Michael Deadmarsh has 17 goals, in 22 games…..He needs 33 goals in 60 games to reach 50….Very doable…..

Wow…I should retool this team more often….we are 16-4-1-4…good enough for 37 points, 1st in the league….

Michael “The Mad Man” Deadmarsh wins November’s player of the month award…..He potted 12 goals, dished out 12 assists, in just a measly 14 games…….

Oh another award….Super Rookie Keith Brocklehurst, back from that minor injury wins the rookie of the month award…..He scored 6 goals, 4 assists, in the same 14 games as Deadmarsh…..way to go….we like hardware……

2-12-2013 Ladies and gentleman….The great Jason Allison has scored his 10th goal of the season….why am I mentioning this….Well, its also his 1100th point of his career….(applause please) assisting on the goal was Brad Stuart…..which was his 500th point of his career…..Brad Stuart will now be taking on Jason Allison in a no holds barred death match…..winner gets the puck….good seats are still available……

17-12-2013 Its been 2 weeks sense anything has happened…..so….how’s it going….

25-12-2013 Continuing with my non hockey agenda…Merry Christmas to all….and to all a good night…..

Ok….enough….back to hockey….Greg Spicer….remember him….I do…..I know what your wondering….Your wondering how he is doing in the shark tank….Well, wonder no more….This sob who would get about 50 points no matter where I played him is lighting it up….he’s got 39 points, in 33 games….WTF….come on man…That’s what I expected from you here…..prick……

1-1-2014 Happy new year….and it is a very happy one too….Sebastian Centomo is ready to return….and I will give him the chance to win his starting spot back….He was so good before the injury….and another reason to be happy…..take a look at the scoring leaders right now

also Daniil Markov wins the rookie of the month award.....yes...applaud now.........ok..thats enough...Danny scored 5 goals....6 assists...in 14 games.....

a good start to the year

2-1-2014 11 leaf prospects will get some valuable experience in the world junior championships being held in Toronto, Ontario this year…..It would have been 12….but Daniil Markhov is the best rookie in the NHL…..

12-1-2014 18 year old super kid Daniil Markhov has his best game of his young career…..getting 4 assists in a 5-1 win over Phoenix…..Markhov is 4th in the league in pp points….with 16

20-1-2014 Jeff Woywitka, Nik Antropov, and Michael Deadmarsh have been chosen to represent the Toronto Maple Leafs at this year’s NHL all-star game......Infact…. Deadmarsh was voted in as a starter……

We are 32-13-3-5….72 points….ahead of Colorado and Tampa by a point for 1st in the league

Feb 1- March 14th trade deadline….

You are gonna be hearing about Daniil Markhov a lot……The guy is 18, and leads all rookie’s in scoring with 18 goals, 32 assists in 57 games…..It’s time to differentiate Daniil Markhov, from Danny Markov…..Danny Markov was once known as Daniil Markov, in his 1st few seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs…..Danny Markov plays defense…..Daniil Marhkov plays center…..Daniil Markov already has 50 points this season….Danny Markov has dreamed about getting 50 points….though that’s about as likely as his aunt growing a penis and becoming his uncle…..anyway…..I just thought you should know the difference…..

11-2-2014 North America 13, World 10….HAHA…take that world…..I RULE…..Woywitka gets a goal and an assists….Antropov finishes with 3 points, and Mad Man Deadmarsh gets a point…..

19-2-2014 Someone is gonna get a chance to skate with the 2 top scorers in the NHL….becasue Jason Williams is gonna miss a month after being crosschecked in the head…….Who will it be….im leaning to Brocklehurst….or Corson……

Pat Quinn is again nominated for the Jack Adams trophy…..Daniil Markhov is of course, nominated for the Calder Trophy…..Michael Deadmarsh and Nik Antropov are both nominated for the Hart Trophy…..

Goalie Matchup: Mikael Tellqvist(4-3, 2.98gaa, .873sp) vs. Roberto Luongo(4-2, 2.99gaa, .902sp)

Leafs predicted to win the series in 7…..

Game 1: Brocklehurst and Jeff Carter each get early goals for their team…..Ovisiannikov gives the Devils the lead…2-1 after 1….Iginla and Kesler make it 4-1 after 2……The blowout continues….Final: 7-1 NJ….

1-5-2014….Centomo will start his 1st playoff game of his career in game 2…..Also, Daniil Markhov won another rookie of the month awards….5 goals, 5 assists, in 11 games will do that

Game 2: Terrible start for Centomo…Iginla scores 24 seconds in…..Raffi Torres ties it……Sven Andersson scores halfway through the 2nd……2-1 after 2…..Geibel makes it 3-1……Janke gets one back….3-2……..Brocklehurst wins the draw….Colaiacovo….to Stuart……SCORE!!!!.....Loungo was screened….3-3…..9 mins left……OT……we start the period shorthanded….Poni wins the draw…and overtime is underway…..Stuart….over to Pilar…..brings it over the line….SCORES!!!!!....quick snap shot gets through…..Final: 4-3 Tor in OT

Game 3: Ortmeyer and York score in a period dominated by New Jersey……Erik Corson gets one back in the 2nd…..Derek Morris and Zach Parise trade goals late in the frame….3-2 after 2……Iginla puts it out of reach…..Final: 4-2 NJ

Game 4: Ortmeyer….scores again…..1-0 after 1….Hatig makes it 2-0 on a shorthanded goal…..Lundmark gets 1 back…….the way we played in the 3rd suggests that we are packing it in…Final: 4-1 NJ…

Game 5: Corson opens the scoring….We finally score first….. Deadmarsh makes it 2-0…..Iginla cuts the lead to one…..Parise adds to the lead….but Hatig cuts the lead again…….Kesler ties it…..OT……Card intercepts the pass….2 on 1…..Janke…..SCORES!!!!!....OFF THE CROSSBAR AND IN……Final: 4-3 Tor in OT

Game 6: Allison gets his 1st goal of the series…….Corson adds to the lead……Jeff Carter gets one for NJ…..2-1 after 2…..Samsonov ties it…..York gets NJ the lead with a powerplay goal….10 mins left…..We get a powerplay with 50 seconds left….time to save the season…..we don’t….Final: 3-2 NJ

NEW JERSEY WINS THE SERIES IN 6

Atlanta also moves on in 5….Anaheim wins in 6…..and a late goal by Roman Weber in game 7 sends Minnesota to the promise land….

Anaheim defeats Minnesota in 6…While NJ goes down in 7 to Atlanta…..

Michael Deadmarsh has been named a 1st team NHL all-star…while Hart Trophy winner, Nik Antropov, who also won the Art Ross, was a 2nd team all-star…..weird….Daniil Markhov was obviously named to the all-rookie team…..

It’s time for the NHL entry Draft…..
We have our own pick….plus San Jose’s which is 6th I think….
1st…..Carolina selects Juha Lampinen
2nd….Phoenix selects Bryan Golden
3rd…..Buffalo selects Ryan Rozsa

Our Picks….
6th…Brian Malgunas 5* Franchise goalie…..We need this guy bad…..
27th…Phil Black….5* goalscorer……
57th….Blazej Miller…..4* physical Dman….
86th….Eric Patry….4* Power Forward…..
87th….Anatoli Shvakov 4* all-around forward…
117th….Geoff Jackson 2* 2-way forward…..

Malgunas has a chance to be unbelievable….I had to take him…even though he was ranked 19th…..

20-6-2014 Vasilii Gataullin shaping up
Encouraging reports from the media indicate that defenseman Vasilii Gataullin has developed better than projected. He has shown that he can take the pressure and succeed at the highest level of the game.

Phew... just caught up! Great reading, Johnny - congrats on your cup a few years back.

Looks like my Islanders have fallen on hard times after a nice two-year run - they tried to make it back once more with Forsberg and Theodore a few years later, but full just short of the playoffs.

If you could find time to post a brief update on them once in a while, I'd appreciate it.

Again, great work!

Also, would that guy who played one game on The Rock be Jimmy Henkel, former RPI Engineer?

If not, I might change my attitude toward the Leafs to "not completely hate them".

Jim Henkel was a guy who was quicksigned by the computer I believe becasue of injuries....but if it changes your attitude towards the leafs....then yes....you are completly correct....

An Islander update will be coming right up

Keith Brocklehurst- I hope he can jump to the 65 point level this year

Nik Antropov- Best player in the league right now
Michael Deadmarsh- 2nd best player in the league right now
Jason Williams- closing in on a point per game
Alexi Ponikarovsky- has become a purely defensive minded player
Raffi Torres- I want him to be a 2nd line scorer
Erick Corson- ditto
Knut Voronin- 50 goals on the rock earned him this chance

Defense
Jeff Woywitka- coming off career highs
Carlo Colaiacovo- better defenseman then forwards
Brad Stuart- has struggled not being the #1 man
John Doherty- had his best season as a leaf

19-10-2014 We haven’t started out the season well….Markhov has struggled, and the team has played pretty bad defensivly…..maybe im relying on too many kids…..

20-10-2014 Just as I right the above…we shut out LA 3-0…..

21-10-2014 New Jersey Devils signed UFA Marc Savard to a 2 year deal

Not much news cuz I don’t like reporting when we are sucking…..so maybe if we start playing better….

8-11-2014 We have fallen to 5th last in the league….thats all…go back to your jobs…nothing to see here

10-11-2014 Another day, another loss, another sleepless night……

17-11-2014 Markhov seems to be back on track….he’s got 15 points in 18 games….and has been playing very well lately…..

25-11-2014 Knut Voronian has been bad….He has played on the power play…..played with good offensive players….and has 1 goal, 2 assists in 21 games….he’s going back donw….Im gonna give Stewart Simon a chance…He’s got 25 points in 20 games on the rock…..

We are 11-9-1-2….for 25 points….not even close to the playoffs right now….Is this the end to Toronto’s 16 year playoff streak……

****LEAFS TRADE****
We needed to turn the team around…..enter the Chicago Black Hawks….They offered me Tom Palat for 2 mid level players that I liked….so I reworked the deal…..

6-12-2014 Toronto Maple Leafs trade
Toronto Maple Leafs traded Knut Voronin and Erick Corson to Chicago Blackhawks for Tom Palat

Knut and Erick are going to be 1st or 2nd line players….but they were awful this year…..Corson had 3 points in 25 games…..Voronin had 4 points in 22 games..….
So you know what I gave up….your asking what did I get…..I get Tom Palat…a 25 year old coming off a career high 79 points….The key is he is in the last year of his contract, and is already making 3 mil…so he is gonna be getting a big raise….and Chicago can’t afford it

8-12-2014 Tom Palat gets his 1st goal as a Leaf in overtime against the Rangers……Daniil Markhov assisted…..

11-12-2014 Both Nik Antropov and Michael Deadmarsh are continuing with last years electric scoring pace…Deadmarsh has 34 points….Antropov has 35…both in 27 games…..the best 1-2 punch in the league…..

23-12-2014 We really needed to add some depth….so…..Merry Christmas Boyd Deveraux….He signs a 1 year deal worth 5.5 million…..

That night…..Boyd makes his debut scoring a goal and a assist in a 4-2 win over SJ….all on the 4th line…..

27-12-2014 The goaltending on the rock has been terrible….Im tired of it….we sign 29 year old Al Montoya to a 4 million dollar contract to play goal on the rock….hopefully, he will clear waivers…..

30-12-2014 Montoya clears waivers……

1-1-2015 It’s been 12 games sense the Palat trade….We are 11-1 in that time…..We are getting scoring from the whole team….the D is stepping up…and the goaltending has been like past seasons…we have turned it around…..Oh…and Daniil Markhov keeps improving….He is almost a 90 oa…and all his numbers are green……

2-1-2015 Toronto Maple Leafs players selected to World Junior Championships
World Junior Championships (U-20) in icehockey are about to start. The following players from Toronto Maple Leafs organization have been selected to represent their countries:
-Blazej Miller (CZE)
-Anatoli Shvakov (BLR)
-Adam Millen (CAN)
-Arvo Karhu (FIN)
-Vasilii Gataullin (BLR)
-Ken Piro (CAN)
-Alexei Galankin (RUS)

9-1-2015 We have reached the halfway point of the season….and have 3 players who can challenge the 50 goal mark….Jason Williams, Michael Deadmarsh, and Tom Palat all of 24 goals….and each could reasonably score 50…..

18-1-2015 Our 1st line is going to the all-star game….Antropov, Williams, and Deadmarsh will not be watching either….they’ll be playing…..Deadmarsh was voted in by the fans…..Im wondering why Tom Palat isn’t going….he’s 2nd in the league in goals…..

19-1-2015 Jeff Woywitka has fed a pretty pass to Jason Williams….which was easily converted….It turns out this pass represents Woywitka’s 500th career point….a very nice accomplishment for a defenseman…..and he’s only 31

Our terrible start to the season has hurt us…even though we have been amazing lately…the start may be to much to overcome in terms of getting home ice in the playoffs….We are 27-17-1-5, for 60 points….6th in the east….6 points up on 9th…..

The NY Islanders have indeed fallen on hard times.....It's been a while sense the above scene has been played out.....

They are even worse this year.....18-27-3-4, for just 43 points...2nd last in the NHL...

They made a gutsy trade last year acquiring 26 year old Joe Underhill from Minnesota for Mathieu Biron....

Underhill is a Alexander Daigle type....He has a 99 shot rating, and a 81 stickhandling rating...overall, he's a 79 offense...yet he has never been able to put it all together.....a career high 51 points in 55 games with Phoenix in 2012 came right before a bevy of address changes.....Colorado, Buffalo, LA, and Minnesota all gave up on him....Now the Islander's are hoping he can put it all together....reminds me of Jason Williams growing pains, only Underhill has more skill.....

This year, Underhill has 15 goals, 11 assists in 50 games

The news is not all bad though....They have, next to Daniil Markhov, the best young player in Hockey...22 year old William Hartford (who always scores against Toronto)

Feb 1st- March 14th trade deadline

7-2-2015 Stewart Simon update…The kid has 12 points in 34 games….not great, but not bad either…….remember…..he replaced Knut Voronian and Erick Corson, who had there heads up their asses……speaking of the to castoffs….Knut has 1 goal in 11 games, and Corson has 6 goals in 29….remember though, they are both still kids……

10-2-2015 The all-star game is over……14-9 North America…sounds like a bad football game…Nik Antropov gets 1 goal……Jason Willams gets 2 goals….Michael Deadmarsh gets 3….MVP is Vinny “the next Gretzky” Lecavalier

25-2-2015 Its been 2 weeks, so I should report something….lets see….oh, here’s something….Tom Palat got his 32nd goal of the season….a career high, and 17 of them have come in Toronto….I like him……

25-2-2015 CRAP…..Jason Williams is out indefinatly….Adam Pineault kneed him…..terrible…..Williams 32 goals, and 61 points in 62 games…….Pineault gets suspended for 3 games…..

2-3-2015 Yep….Carlo is much better as a defenseman…..want proof….he just recorded his 36th assists of the season….a career high……

3-3-2015 Stewart Simon has been given the honor to skate with Nikky and Deadmarsh…..and has responded with 6 points in 5 games…..

4-3 2015 Nik Antropov has a 13 game point streak, and also got his 200th penalty minute of the season…..He is the best player in the league

Tom Palat has signed a 6 year contract extension worth 6 million dollars a year…well worth it……

Well, its trade deadline time…will I make a move…..NOOOO….I really like this team right now…..36-22-2-9, for 83 points….6th in the east…..

Goalie Matchup: Mikael Tellqvist(4-1, 2.60gaa, .899sp) vs. Dan Blackburn(4-3, 2.58gaa, .892sp)

I think this is the 1st time the Rangers have made the playoffs in about 20 years….Holy Crap….just pathetic…It’s interesting….sense this dynasty has started…Toronto has made the playoffs every year….Rangers have never made it…….oh well…not my problem…lets sweep em…

Game 1: Michael Srnicek opens the scoring…1-0 Rangers after 1…..Antropov ties it…Grondin grabs the lead back…but Simon answers before the period ends…..2-2 after 2…..Deadmarsh extends his point streak to15 games with a early goal…..it stands up….Final: 3-2 Tor

Ive got good news, and bad news….1st, the bad news….Boyd Devereaux is out for the playoffs…RJ Umberger slashed him…..bastard…Now some good news….Stewart Simon is the rookie of the month….scoring 12 points in 11 games…..also…Michael Deadmarsh is player of the month…netting 9 goals and 8 assists in those same 11 games

Game 2: Stanislav Vsevolodov…up from St. Johns replaces Devereaux…..No scoring in the 1st…..Lundmark gets his 1st of the post season….Tom Palat gets a pp goal…..2-0 after 2…..Marco Sturm finally gets the blueshirts on the board…..Markhov responds……Rangers don’t give up…Andrew Dawe makes it 3-2…..but that’s it….Final: 3-2 Tor

Game 4: Slava Evseev has the Bruin’s up 1-0 after 1…..No scoring in the 2nd…..Stewart Simon, whos having an amazing playoffs, ties it with his 6th…..Vsevoldov dumps it in…..BIG HIT BY DEADMARSH….he wins the puck…..quick pass infront….SCORES!!!!!.....ANTROPOV….2-1 LEAFS…..10 mins left…Final: 2-1 Tor

Zach Parise will miss about a week….so another farmhand will get into the lineup…Radoslav Hooter, who is developing into a nice all-around player, will make his NHL debut tomorrow…..Stewart Simon also was named player of the week…..4 goals and 2 assists at this stage will do it……I think he likes centering Antropov and Deadmarsh

Game 5: it takes 28 seconds for Stewart Simon to continue his torrid pace…….1-0 Tor…Simon then assists on a Michael Deadmarsh goal….2-0 after 1…..Leaf killer Martin Samuelsson makes it 2-1 after 2…..Markhov, who seems to only score in the 3rd…..salts it away….Final: 3-1 Tor

TORONTO WINS SERIES IN 5….OFF TO THE STANLEY CUP

Key Injuries:
Nashville: None
Toronto: Boyd Devereaux (will miss series), Jason Williams (will miss series), Zach Parise (should be back by game 3)

Media pundits are predicting Nashville will win there 1st cup in 5 games....

Im pretty confident in my team....Nashville has good depth...they get scoring from 3 lines.....they don't have any superstars though.....which i feel we do.....2 of them...plus 1 in the making......I think our top line can out score the Crothers-Ovechkin-Pollack trio...Nashville's top 3 D are excellent defensive players.....they will clear the front of the net with ease....This will be the key to the series.....

Up next....the Stanley Cup
