Oregon State will be without their star running back, Jacquez (sp?) Rodgers tonight which makes me hopeful that Oregon will upset them.

Dola,
Then runs it in for a TD on the next play.

Edit: ok, it wasn't a run play. Just saying that BC got a TD from the INT. On a pass.

Baylor's not altogether horrible, but TT should handle them with relative ease. The game last week must have really broken them, surprising too considering they're in the Big 12 Championship game with a win and an OU loss.

Baylor drives down the field with ease and pounds the ball in to go up 28-14.

Yeah, so I turn on the Texas Tech game and in less than 5 minutes, there's a TD. And, frankly, it seemed slow for them

Tech potentially catches a break on the 2nd last play of the 3rd. 4th and 2 on the Baylor 49, Harrell throws a pick and the interception is negated by a Baylor offside. It was difficult to tell whether there may have been Tech movement a fraction of a second before the Bear defender was in the neutral zone.

Off to the 4th quarter. Tech still down a td, but driving.

I think that's just unfair. We're judging this on whether they're blowing out someone they are supposed to blow out rather than the rest of the season. That's why this is just plain stupid.

Oh, and the refs in this game suck.

Which is actually in contrast to the Mizzou/Kansas game where they were pretty much invisible. I didn't really hear anything where I was watching stuff, good or bad and I didn't really have any issues.

There hasn't been a point this year when either Texas or OU have not looked the part of a conference champ, even when they've lost. Neither have sleepwalked through a game all year. Tech is sleepwalking through this one.

But they're finally waking up and just in time for them.

I agree with you, but it's going to be common perception if Tech wins and further allow the illogical Texas over OU argument based on head to head. It's almost ironic that OU essentially eliminated Tech from the discussion based on the blowout, and all the talking heads seem to have forgotten that Texas lost to Tech.

Ah... Doesn't matter too much, I suppose. OU needs to take care of business tonight and if they do, either way they're in a BCS bowl.

Seriously? "Doesn't look the part"? Is that what we're using to figure this out now?

I think that probably seals it for Texas Tech unless Baylor gets a 3-and-out.

Also, for the BC/Maryland folks- has the game been as boring to watch as Yahoo is making it look?

1st-15, BC5 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 2 yard gain
2nd-13, BC7 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 15 yard gain
1st-10, BC22 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 3 yard gain
2nd-7, BC25 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 4 yard gain
3rd-3, BC29 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 8 yard gain
1st-10, BC37 M. Harris rushed to the left for 9 yard gain
2nd-1, BC46 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain
1st-10, BC47 M. Harris rushed up the middle for 1 yard loss
2nd-11, BC46 M. Harris rushed up the middle for no gain

Up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, up the middle? Is this like the Bears gameplan from the mid 90s?

I don't disagree with you SI. It's just the nature of the beast we're working with. OU looked the part last week so they jump ahead of Texas. Fair? No. Reality? Apparently so. How teams look shouldn't matter, but the voters seem to believe otherwise.

And 'Bama pounds out another run of the mill slowly suffocating win against Auburn. 'Bama went from a win it early and cruise team to one that slowly gets better and better as the game wears on.

Okay well I guess I gotta root for the Ducks. I'd much rather see a PSU/USC Rose Bowl than a rematch of a earlier game where it really would be a no win situation for Penn State.

I know that I am late in posting this, but great win for Tech over the Georgia mechanics school! I flew back in town just in time to watch it on CBS, and had almost lost all hope at one point in the game. Great to see them come from behind to win.

I don't care how ugly the win looks, any win over UGA is a good win!

A little ironic that PSU is rooting for the team that we played the last time we went to the Rose Bowl.

For those watching the UT-UK game it seems worth noting that, as far as I can recall, they did not use the G-gun formation this season until after the firing was announced. If they had ... well, anything would have helped this offense for most of the season.
