albionmoonlight squirts a come-backer to duckman, who grabs it, trots toward first, and throws him out...two down...

Swaggs will be the hitter...he works deep into the count...sticks the bat out and he drops a soft liner over the infield for a two-out single!

Maybe you'd like Ardent to pinch hit, CR.

I understand that you feel you should be an elitist, but I think the rosters are locked the way they are. Next time speak up quicker for a spot on the Elitist roster.

MrBug708 comes up and gets his hacks, ripping a ball foul...but in the end duckman brings the heater and blows him down, strike three, to end the inning.

To the top of the 8th, 2-0 Hattrickers.

How about the dreaded "By now the Hattrickers were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead."

gstelmack is now playing second for the Elitists, and batting in the #8 slot in the order...

Leading off for the Hattrickers as they try to add some insurance here in the 8th is tucker rocky...he's 1-for-3, and you might recall he tried to stretch his single into a double and was thrown out by heybrad back in the 5th...here's the pitch from albionmoonlight...it's a seeing-eye grounderrrrrrrr...THROUGH the hole on the right side for a single!

I'm gonna let him hit. He's earned it today.

Sit down mrkilla22, if he isn't already. Get daedalus up and throwing. We might need him in the 8th for heybrad.

Two strikes on duckman, attempting to bunt...he swings away on the final pitch but misses and heads for the dugout regardless, one down.

Katon at the plate with one down...heres the pitch from the stretch...tucker rocky breaks late on the pitch, it's a hit and run...Katon hits a grounder to short...the only play is to first...two down, runner on second

Lazy fly ball hit to left by Raven Hawk...Swaggs settles under it, and makes the catch...that's three outs...on to the bottom of the 8th!

Heart of the Elitist order coming up, leading off with kcchief19 who's 2-for-3...duckman has great stuff working for the HTs and has scattered 5 hits...kcchief19 pops a foul back toward the screen...drifting back is TargetPractice6...he's tight up against the backstop, and makes the catch! One away.

In steps the dangerous heybrad...he's also 2-for-3...duckman shows no signs of slowing...he brings the high hard one...and DOWN goes heybrad with a mighty cut! Strike three, two outs.

Schmidty up with two outs...the Elitist thirdbaseman is 0-for-3...he drives one to right...going back on the ball is Masked...he's got room...and snares it for the final out.

Nice job, duckman. It's your game to close out.

Middle of our inning, I want to call down to the pen and wake vex up. Probably won't need him but just in case, I want him and daed ready for the 9th. I don't anticipate having to use them but you can't be too careful.

Here's Ardent leading off the 9th for the Hattrickers...he's had a disappointing day at the plate, 0-for-3...and it continues as albionmoonlight sneaks a curve-ball in for a called third strike...

Play nice, boys.

tk, hopefully you're not going to see the game today. I've got daed and vex ready for the 9th should there be a need. You and mrkilla and the rest of the pen won't see the game unless the bottom of the 9th goes horribly, horribly wrong. It's a long series and I'm sure almost everyone will see game time.
