These announcers who are saying USC doesn't look good enough to be #2 in the polls are forgetting that Cal is a very good team (that I believe only lost last week due to overlooking their opponent while looking ahead to USC.) They didn't seem to forget this when hyping this game earlier..

LSU completed a pair of passes to get down to the Ole Miss 35, but then it was 2 incompletes and a Russell fumble (I'm guessing a sack?) recovered by the Tigers but for an 18 yd loss.

Rebels lead 20-14, with the ball at their own 20 after a punt.
Ellis runs for 13 yds on 1st down, now just 4:20 left to play.

BYU has quietly brought themselves back this season with a Top 25 ranking, destruction of every crappy ass team in the Mountain West....

Although, I wish they would have pulled their heads out against Arizona (which is looking like they are pretty tough) and Boston College, if so..we would be hearing BCS talk at home...Instead we get to go to the Vegas Bowl and play a Pac 10 team that is looking like Oregon...

I would not totally count on no BCS just yet. The losses by Maryland and Wake Forest kept BYU alive. Well Damn, thanks for the info....I just kind of wrote us off there, but I feel if we didn't lose to Arizona and still have our loss to BC, we are still ranked in the Top 15 right now because we played BC to double OT and shot ourselves in the foot there. But I am just happy that we are playing as great as we are.

Yup, a loss is a loss and an excuse is an excuse.

But we didn't have our depth and played without our Starting QB Brandon Doman and Doak Walker Award Winner Luke Staley, and I think our 2nd RB was injured as well...

We went into that game tore up, and was shredded for it, thus began the down fall of Gary Crowton at BYU, it's going to be sweet sweet irony for him if he comes into the LV Bowl with Oregon as their OC and wipes the walls with us....

Well as it stands they will get a bid, it's just dependent on the Bowl....right now the Mountain West has tie in's to:

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl
Mountain West vs. at-large

Las Vegas Bowl
Pac 10 No. 4 vs. Mountain West No. 1

New Mexico Bowl Mountain West vs. WAC

Fort Worth Bowl Mountain West vs. Conference USA

BYU has accepted the LV Bowl, TCU is more than likely going to the Fort Worth Bowl, and it looks like Utah will go to the Poinsetta Bowl, guess that leaves the Pokes heading to New Mexico....
