(If cbssportsline hasn't screwed it up) ... LSU cuts the lead to 20-14, Russell passing the Tigers right down the field. Now 8:46 left to play.

Booty to Jarrett! TD!!! 16-9. These announcers who are saying USC doesn't look good enough to be #2 in the polls are forgetting that Cal is a very good team (that I believe only lost last week due to overlooking their opponent while looking ahead to USC.) They didn't seem to forget this when hyping this game earlier..

LSU stuffs Ole Miss, gets the ball at midfield after a punt.

A little more than 7 mins left, Rebels still lead 20-14.

One TV households...how quaint.

No, no problem. Just curious why you aren't watching the game when you're obviously interested in it.

LSU completed a pair of passes to get down to the Ole Miss 35, but then it was 2 incompletes and a Russell fumble (I'm guessing a sack?) recovered by the Tigers but for an 18 yd loss.

Rebels lead 20-14, with the ball at their own 20 after a punt.
Ellis runs for 13 yds on 1st down, now just 4:20 left to play.

I'm interested in all three games going on now, which makes GameCenter so cool. Besides, you should recall that I *hate* watching TV, except to catch glimpses of actual stuff between all of the commercials.

LSU defense stiffens, forces a short punt of just 29 yards, will try to rally starting at their own 41 with just 2:17 left to play.

Russell scrambles for 17 on 1st down.
Complete to Bowe for 9 yds, down to the Ole Miss 35.
Still 20-14 Rebels, with 1:39 left, after a huge sack back to the 41. Now 3rd down.
20 yd completion down to the 21, good for a 1st down.
Incomplete, 2nd & 10, 1:23 left.
Complete for 4 yds, 3rd & 6, 1:17 left from the 17 yd line. LSU takes their last TO.
Russell runs down to the 6.
Incomplete, 2nd & goal from the 6. less than :30 left
Incomplete, 3rd & goal from the 6. less than :20 left
Incomplete, 4th & goal from the 6. less than :18 left

TD LSU - Russell to Bowe

According to GameCast, LSU has 3rd and 8 with 1:39 left in the game.. they're sitting on the 41 yard line of Ole Miss. Certainly some big plays coming up after they return from a timeout.

USC Touchdown. This one is close to being over.

Rather nice to have a live game on at 11pm local to watch. ASU has been terrible in the red zone and are down 14-12 to UCLA.

BYU has quietly brought themselves back this season with a Top 25 ranking, destruction of every crappy ass team in the Mountain West....

Although, I wish they would have pulled their heads out against Arizona (which is looking like they are pretty tough) and Boston College, if so..we would be hearing BCS talk at home...Instead we get to go to the Vegas Bowl and play a Pac 10 team that is looking like Oregon...

I would not totally count on no BCS just yet. The losses by Maryland and Wake Forest kept BYU alive. If BYU finishes in the top 16 of the BCS rankings, is the highest ranked non-BCS conference winner (in other words, Boise St needs to lose bad enough to drop below BYU), and they are ranked higher than the champion of a conference with an automatic bid (possible with the ACC), then BYU would get an automatic berth. In the ACC, the four teams that still have a chance to win the conference were Wake Forest (#16), Georgia Tech (#18), Maryland (#19), and Boston College (#20). Although Wake and Maryland both lost today (and will drop in the BCS), they can still win the conference (Wake wins if they beat Maryland, but Maryland needs BC to lose to Miami). Georgia Tech plays Georgia, so if they lose that game but then win the ACC, they could be behind BYU. In other words, there is a decent chance that BYU ends up ahead of the ACC winner. The bigger questions are if BYU can make it to the top 16 and if a one-loss Boise St would drop behind a two-loss BYU. It's a longshot, but you can still hope!

Well Damn, thanks for the info....I just kind of wrote us off there, but I feel if we didn't lose to Arizona and still have our loss to BC, we are still ranked in the Top 15 right now because we played BC to double OT and shot ourselves in the foot there. But I am just happy that we are playing as great as we are.

Yup, a loss is a loss and an excuse is an excuse.

But we didn't have our depth and played without our Starting QB Brandon Doman and Doak Walker Award Winner Luke Staley, and I think our 2nd RB was injured as well...

We went into that game tore up, and was shredded for it, thus began the down fall of Gary Crowton at BYU, it's going to be sweet sweet irony for him if he comes into the LV Bowl with Oregon as their OC and wipes the walls with us....

Well as it stands they will get a bid, it's just dependent on the Bowl....right now the Mountain West has tie in's to:

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl
Mountain West vs. at-large

Las Vegas Bowl
Pac 10 No. 4 vs. Mountain West No. 1

New Mexico Bowl Mountain West vs. WAC

Fort Worth Bowl Mountain West vs. Conference USA

BYU has accepted the LV Bowl, TCU is more than likely going to the Fort Worth Bowl, and it looks like Utah will go to the Poinsetta Bowl, guess that leaves the Pokes heading to New Mexico....
