I know it is a product of the coverage and the pressure that Pittsburgh is generating, but I'm surprised that the Cardinals have only gotten the ball to Fitzgerald twice. You think they would run some more screens or somehing to get the ball in his hands.

I liked the Coke commercial a lot.

Ed and Hammer are both in pretty bad financial shape- still, that gold4cash commercial basically evokes pity more than anything. How bad must the economy be that basically an online pawn shop gets a Super Bowl ad?

There is no way the Steelers have made 2 penalties for 15 yards and the Cardiinals 10 for 96.

wow....a penalty!

The fact that Pittsburgh has played in two games that were fixed this year, and I'm fairly certain this officiating crew was invovled in one of them makes it more than easy to question some of this.

The one call that I thought was truly questionable was the roughing the passer one. Otherwise, I actually think they've called a very good game (partly with the help of reviews, but they at least made the calls so that they could be reviewed). And yeah, I am a Steelers fan, so I'll admit that bias.

This isn't a "crew", this is basically the highest rated ref/umpire/judge at each position so they haven't worked together. Pretty big conspiracy to have all these different refs in on it.

What did it to Ed McMahon, money mismanagement or he just never generated as much money as I had thought?

I might be wrong, but I think he has been hit hard by a couple of divorce settlements.

well somehow the Cards are still in this game after stupid penalties and a 100 yard INT return. Would be wild if they came back to win it now

The cash4gold.com spot is groundbreaking in at least one respect, as they become the first direct response advertiser in Super Bowl history. It appears they bought one of the final two slots available for a spot directed by one of the early creatives behind the GoDaddy.com spots. Quirky thing, NBC would not allow the use of an 800 number in the spot (which I'm surprised the advertiser went along with personally).

Stupid penalty by Taylor. Thought it might get off-set by one of the guys on the sideline but no luck.

Not really, as they didn't jump all over Pittsburgh early like they did in that game, but I know we are both hoping for the same end result.

He has said all week that he doesn't know if he is going to come back or not. He has said he will pray about it for a few weeks and then decide.
