The Redskins overall year-end score was 75. Good profitiability, better team performance, and a higher franchise value this time around.

I'm going to go back to TCY now and sim another season on there so I can get a draft file ready. Start thinking of draftee suggestions for the next draft.
Also, just to keep it interesting, I've decided that once I take the Redskins to the Super Bowl, I'll start looking for another team to manage, so that everyone reading isn't force-fed my favorite team the whole time. I think the fairest way to do this is to assume control of the most lackluster team available. Post your thoughts on this... |

I'd just like to say thank you to the Houston Oilers for providing the one piece we needed to beat them. Holy cow did I have a passing attack or what? Bucky was 2nd in passing yards and MISSED TWO GAMES. Bucky also has the distinction of being the only 2 time Super Bowl MVP, last year in a losing effort, and this year as the winner. Could you start keeping the box scores? I think doing that to at least get to see the Super Bowl one would be nice.

I might be able to turn on the box scores just for the playoff games... I just usually leave them off to keep them from getting too huge.

2 less games than Moon, but 50 more passes thrown. I'm more impressed by his ability to avoid throwing the pick. And you're welcome for Jeffries, can't believe all we got was a late 1st rounder, sheesh!

Just a thought... we already have a TON of QB talent in this league... and I don't see a lot of people suggesting OL draftees. I know those aren't much fun, but the league needs those guys more than all the "skill" players we have now.

2004 TCY Season Update
Placerville U. improved to 4-7 this season. This bodes well, as most of the recruits from last year redshirted, and should start to see action next year. This year's recruiting class was pretty good. Seven of the 16 recruits were national "Top 500" players, and 10 were ranked in the top 100 in the state. The goal of course is to become the dominant college football program in California, and then focus on national prestige. There's a long way to go. Bakersfield won the Solecismic 8 title with a record of 7-4. The were beaten by North Texas in their bowl game. QB Luther Twisp of Cincinnati was named player of the year. He has no eligibility remaining, so we should see him in the draft. His rating this year was an impossible 199.2. He threw 31 TDs and one INT. Iowa defeated Kentucky in the National Championship Game. However, the BCS rankings list Western Michigan as number one. Go figure. If anyone really wants more detail about the college season, I can provide it. I'm just sticking with a brief overview for now, and trying to focus on the pro game. |

Just exported the draft file and had a look at it. Fascinating stuff. Heisman winner Luther Twisp looks like he has all the makings of a mediocre pro quarterback... which is about as accurate as you can expect.
I'm going to start adding the supplemental guys. Here's who we have submitted so far: Code:

Man, Dana Stubblefield out and Joe Montana getting no love in the awards. TO and Rice still not shining even with the numbers Montana posted? Blasphemy!
Great work, keep it up. Draftee - Mike Cofer, K

Well, at least he went out with his boots on. Funny how this imitates real life, as Stubblefield has been, for all intents and purporses, "retired" since he won defensive player of the year and left the Niners via free agency.

Cool. I'll get these guys added to the draft file. So far, that's a hefty supplement of 22 guys.
One thing I've been thinking about... how many of you are planning to buy FOF2004, and how many would be interested in participating in a league based on the same concept as this dynasty? Similar rules - although I'd probably apply stricter controls on the number and type of draftee supplements, but everyone starts with a team seeded with a few stars of their own choosing. What makes it a bit more fun is that you'd have serious control over who you draft - so there'd be a better chance that JeeberD could get all his UTEP guys on the Cowboys. Just curious... if there's enough interest, maybe I'll start working on it. Personally, I don't care if the league is even full - in fact, it would be easier to manage if it weren't. |

Here's the current list of supplemental draftees. Names will be fixed after the file is imported. We don't really need any more guys at this point, but if you're reading, and you haven't submitted a name yet, I'll wait until about 10:30 AM Pacific to process this.
