i don't see carolina coming back in this one. no run defense, whenever vick is able to put a pass on target its caught, and delhomme is looking like favre out there with the decision making.

I'm sorry, but the idea that a QB can slide the SECOND he sees someone about to nail him, is stupid. That's what I think happened here. It looks like the BENGALS ( ) player leaves his veet at the basically same time as Green starts his slide.

Having seen the replay, my take is pretty much the same.

Charlie Frye is Cleveland's leading rusher today. Here in the Pittsburgh area, people love to laugh at the Browns. I bet folks are having a field day with this one. 16-14, Saints on top.

I'll jump on the bandwagon of just quoting this and saying it is how I saw the play as well.

Buckhalter looking very good as the Eagles are just killing the clock with a great running drive to seal the win.

Sheesh, what a great escape. I expect a LOT of second guessing on that 4th and 1 the Bills missed that turned things around

That's a perfectly valid opinion, but it's not the rule. The rule is that once the quarterback gives himself up with a feet first slide you can't hit him and have to make an effort to avoide contact. Geathers left his feet after Green stated his slide, led with his shoulder, and intentionally came down on top of Green.

I don't think it's suspension worthy, but definitely fine worthy. If Geathers had made any attempt whatsoever to pull up or avoid contact, I'd feel differently. But the rule is there for a reason. If you don't like the rule, fine. But rules don't work that way.

Interesting Jets/Titans game (in the scoring sense)... two 2-pt conversions, and the Titans have tied it.

edit: Titans have tied it.

I just remembered that there's no "NFL Primetime" tonight. That kind of makes me sad. I'm sure that NBC show will be 90 more minutes of craptacular Manning hype. So I guess we're reduced to 60 second Sportcenter highlight packages.

I totally see your point. I can see the argument for a penalty. I can see the argument for a fine.

I find this talk that he gets a huge fine and possibly a suspencion to be silly though.

Seahawks looked awful. Detroit let them win, because they sure didn't earn it. I sure hope they have a good sit-down this week and figure out why they can't throw the ball down the field...or run...or not get FGs blocked.

Seattle is lost without Hutch, the left side was abused. Lions D is going to be good, we just need to get some offense.

That really has me bummed, too, as I've watched NFL Primetime for at least 10 years and it was something I set my Sunday nights around

Hm... fantasy question. Moulds is available, but my WRs are:

Roy Williams, Plaxico, Reggie Wayne, Troy Williamson, Donte Stallworth. Williamson is the guy I'd consider dropping, but I'm unsure - thoughts?
