Personally, I found this one to be a bit 'meh'. Though the ending with the girls taking about a threesome and Barney unable to walk to them was funny .

Funny one, I thought. I like anyone that prominently features Barney. His little speech about woo girls had me in stitches.

Clutch episode

(paraphrase quote)
"... and it looks like those assassinations and hostile takeovers really did the trick. We lowered banking regulations in Rangoon. So yay us!"

That one got a rewind and rewatch from us.

At the urging of a friend who's addicted, I finally watched this last episode. I enjoyed it, probably not as much as if I had been watching regularly, but I could see it being good.

My biggest issue: stupid laughtracks. I can't remember the last time I watched a comedy on network TV, so it just felt so out of place and really pulled me out of the show. It just sounded so much louder than older shows, to me at least. I can get used to it though.

And what's the deal with Bob Saget voicing that Ted dude?

This is a show that you need to watch the earlier episodes to appreciate the new ones because they pull so much from the past ones that sometimes you won't get the jokes unless you know the history....or from New Jersey. One or the other.

That was the best part of the episode. Marshall calling Robin a slut was fun too . As was naked Barney passing up the cheap suit.

As was Marshall turning off the lights at the Hoser Hut.

Good episode, I really really like this show.

I laughed pretty damn hard at the song Marshall sang at the Hoser Hut. That kind of continuity is part of what makes the show fun.

Apparently, the ratings are up this season and last new episode that aired (the one with all the Vikings references) was the most watched episode since season 1.

I read that the Britney Spears appearance really kicked up the ratings and when people watched, they liked, and they stayed.

So celeb appearance saves HIMYM, or more specifically, Britney Spears saved HIMYM.

This doesn't mean I have to buy her new album for thanks does it?

For anyone who is interested, this show will begin showing reruns from earlier seasons tonight on Lifetime at 7:30 and 8:00 pm I think.

I am a bit sad that a show I like has its reruns on Lifetime.

Agreed. I heard Lifetime offered the most money, but this show doesn't really seem like a good fit for lifetime. On a side note, I read today that Neil Patrick Harris (portrays Barney) is hosting SNL. I think he's hosting this weekend's show, but I'm not sure.

That would be good to catch. I'm constantly amazed at what a good comedian, and physical comedian especially, Neil is. Who would have thunk it. I'd be interested to see how well it translates into other characters or if he's just the perfect Barney.

Called "Benefits". Seems like an interesting premise based on the blurb (won't spoil it), but I wonder how it'll work out.

Great episode tonight I thought. I like that it progressed a major plot line and wasn't a stand alone episode like a lot of recent ones.
