If your third and short, at least have Trent under center with a RB in the backfield to force the defense to defend the run.

Atlanta had a tie on their record in 2003 when they played the Eagles in the playoffs. Last edited by sabotai : 11-17-2008 at 10:06 PM. |

The fact Crennel hasn't challenged a play all year until now was insane.

Okay, so you have decided to call a time out. Why not just challenge the spot at the goal line? You get longer, and then the worst thing that can happen is you lose a time out. What gives?

That was a great effort by Lynch. He's had one hell of a game tonight.

I don't question Dick Jauron's decisions. It sucks that Ralph Wilson won't pony up the bucks for a great coach, after giving him a 3-year extension this year. |

Edwards has completely lost every ounce of confidence he once had. Did he even ATTEMPT to throw a pass to Lee Evans tonight??? Their best offensive weapon?
Brutal job of scheming by OC Turk Schonert...he should have done a much better job involving Evans early with some slants, screens or even a reverse. Zero touches? Disgusting. Buffalo sports talk radio is bad enough but I can only imagine how bad it's going to be this week!

RAC is the only one smart enough to call a timeout, and then challenge a play as well(last year vs the Steelers) Listened to the game, and it sounded like a fight to see who could undercoach their opponent. 3 runs into the line with a timeout, and settling for a 47 yarder? Really doesn't make too much sense. I know you want the Browns to burn their timeouts, but I'd have at least tried to get someone on a hot slant. Then you run the ball and get it down to 5 seconds and kick. And the squib kick just seems like such a bad play by RAC there too. I know the guy has taken one back earlier, but I'd rather chance stopping them inside the 30, instead of giving them it at the 40+ yard line on the squib. Hell, kick the fuckin thing out of bounds, it's better than a squib most all of the time.. Last edited by stevew : 11-18-2008 at 01:11 AM. |

I was PISSED when I tuned in and it wasn't snowing. I watched 15 minutes and finally turned it off after they showed that idiot with no shirt on and 'ESPN' shaved/written on his belly.

Well, if Fassell can't turn it around, it just can't be done. It'll be time for Bud Selig to contract the Raiders at that point. Along with the Twins and the Devil Rays.
