So I'm watching the Niner game at my parent's house on DVR because of a Soccer game I played in this morning. Mounting a furious comeback, the Niners let the punt bounce and get touched by the Texans with just under 2 minutes to play down by three...and the recording at my parents' house stops there because they forgot to put extra time on the recording.

I decide to rush home to my house, because I know that I put the extra time on...only to see Alex Smith version 1.0 throw a horrible pass on 4th down to end it. How anticlimactic.

Miles Austin may be one heck of a player, but he looks like a Goomba from Super Mario Bros when he smiles with his teeth out.

Fasano has to hold onto that catch. That was a nice throw by Ronnie.

They are looking a lot like the Saints from past years today. Great offense with paper mache defense.

I saw him play last week, though I already forget where. A friend of mine became a huge Packers fan because she had a crush on him in the early 90s when he was their backup, so I was going to mention to her that she was still in the league, but I forgot.

Give that Miami coaching staff two weeks to prepare and playing at home, and I bet they make any defense look paper mache.

So they switched from the Bears-Bengals to Cowboys-Falcons...it's looking like no Saints-Dolphins game after? Is that on Fox?

I agree that the score certainly suggests that, but if you were actually watching the game you'd know that 4 Drew Brees turnovers have given the Dolphins great field position. The Dolphins only have 256 yards of offense.

Defense isn't stellar, but it is far better than prior years.

Seems like they're doing all right in the 2nd half, allowing 10 points and scoring 7.

The Dolphins game reminds me of the 80s ... Miami putting up points and their defense getting steamrolled.

Thanks. They're finally switching over now. They had to come back from commercial and show us some players walking around and celebrating before they could cut to it.

Dolphins averaging 5.3 yards per play today. Lets see if these Saints can play championship defense when it matters.

Although I really think the Saints were gifted a TD on that non reversal of the pick for touchdown that wasn't.

That was some horrible pursuit logic on that interception return.

I think (but I'm biased) that he was trying to fumble the ball out of out of bounds to stop the clock. He tossed the ball forward when he did that.

I thought he did that on purpose. If not, kinda sucks but it did appear to me like he threw it at the sideline. And yes, it was an incredibly stupid thing to do.

Did I read the summary correctly, Reggie Bush with a 10-yard rushing TD? Is that a career best rush for him?

It was on a reverse, so I don't think it really counts.

No doubt in my mind Camarillo underhanded it towards the sideline. What a stupid play around midfield with the 2 minute warning and 2 TO's still on the board. No reason he had to get out of bounds.

Yep. You could tell he was trying to head for the sideline from the start, which is a smart play, but he just got way too clever about it.

Even worse. You missed the earlier play in the game where he can't hold on to a pass, bats it up in the air, and it gets returned for a TD.

100% that the tip of the ball didn't break the plane? Hard to be 100% sure when no angle showed it at a good angle. I am pretty sure it was fumbled before the goalline myself, but the right call was made post replay, you can't take away a TD like that with the kind of views of the goalline they had. Regardless it was a play right at the goalline, if you are Miami you can't hang your hat on that being THE play especially when it was in the third quarter of a high scoring game.

I thought Lathum was referring to the Giants game, and Hightower's fumble.
