That sucks for Jon, and I hate to say it, but that's why we need the two hour limit. Whoever is after Jon should feel free to make his choice, and we go on. And when Jon has a chance to post his picks to catch up, he can.

I'm next up and could make my pick, but Jon is going to be screwed if it starts a run. Skipping his pick is actually skipping 2 picks as he has two in a row. By the end of round 9 and into 10, he could well have 4 picks in a row if we skip him now.

Hmm. Jon, maybe it would help if we can get a ballpark on when you plan to make your picks? 7pm tonight is much different than 11pm, for example.

I don't really like the idea of skipping picks, but I think tomorrow we need to have a strict time limit enforced where SR makes the pick off a provided list or based on ESPN rankings if no list is given. Everyone should know by now that we are looking at a time limit, so people should be prepared to get in a list daily, or just send in like 50 players.

Agreed. Not like we went in today thinking we didn't need to pick it up. There should have already been lists handed out and all of us prepared for those times we couldn't be available.

I've got no problem having lists in reserve. I know I'm off and on during the day, and if my turn passes, i have no issue either being skipped or going by a list.

I'm cool with being the keeper of lists. However, I can't access anything labeled "fantasy" at work, so if someone's list is all drafted, kind of stuck.

I'd prefer up to about 10 names on a list, because there's a solid chance most of the names will be gone by the next pick.

We should've also had a live online draft last night when people set the time aside but we saw how that worked out.

Oh well. I didn't get a chance to go online to do the draft today. Sometimes things come up.

We failed to set a time limit at the start and have to live with the consequences now, though I have no objection to doing it now, with the caveat we don't skip people and just take the next person in the ESPN rankings.

Believe right now it would be Spezza. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Honestly, if you miss your pick and you don't get exactly the player who is next in the ranking you don't have too much to complain about anyway.

What time does the clock start for us west coasters, and what time do we run it through? EDIT - 10am EST is definitely too late to start, considering you get 2 hours to pick. 8:30am EST?

The 2 hour time limit should be set during certain hours.

And not everyone has access to a computer starting at 5:30 AM, which is what you're suggesting we do for the west coasters.

I would suggest 10 AM to 12 AM, eastern time, with no prohibition on making the pick if you know who it is outside those hours. If you miss your 2 hour window, next highest person in the list.

From what I can see on ESPN, it seems to suggest that it's best to add all of the players at once instead of trying to assign rosters. I'm not sure I want to mess with it after what happened before.
