I've been sitting here the last hour or so trying to figure this out too.. I don't remember anything bad about swaggs this game, but nothing good either. He's pretty much been under the radar most of the game from what I can remember at least.

Qwik on the other hand has had a few negative marks (1 of which delayed us longer than needed to be on the planet), and his response is coming out with a role that could have been proven on day 3, but he chose not to (for legit reasons maybe or maybe not.)

I also think that I would rather have an extra person who can spy on others and guard at night than a 3rd engineer right now. I think Swaggs should be #1 person to be scanned tommorrow though.

To be fair Qwik, I absolutely would have used the vigilante power to off Schmidty two nights ago if I had it. You didn't. I can understand being leary of Chubby when you were wounded and exhausted, but why not go after Schmidty?

The night goes by, but things are slightly amiss. First there is the strange dream you all had where the same voice which popped into your head yesterday now said “Success” over and over again. And then there is the fact that King is nowhere to be found in the morning. dubb was standing in the Sleeping Quarters, but obviously not near king’s room. Swaggs spent the night standing right outside the brig.

Finally, after a ship wide sweep, king’s body turns up in the shafts above the Sleeping Quarters. He has been killed. The crew starts the day on a very sad note.

Thats fine with me. He hasn't been cleared yet. I mentioned Swaggs and Sndvls since those two and Dubbs are exhausted and neither have them been cleared yet either. (Although until today I had pretty much trusted Path/Sndvls on his helpfulness and jumping in when we needed an engineer)

I say go for dubb...he gave us hoops and schmidty to save himself...we went on 3 missions to kill the OL and lost 2 captains, he'd be #1 on my list now.

I thought about that myelf the other day when I felt it was a pretty good chance of 50/50 Schmidty or Dubb being bad.

I played in a game before where Dubb made a last minute switch over as a bad guy to condemn another bad guy, and if I remember right he skated away in high trust the rest of the game (in which bad guys won).

It just seems like alot for him to be giving up for trust... giving us 2 spawn + killing the overlord?

Only possibility I can think of is that he was in a bad situation vs the overlord where if he didnt follow through, he would have been outed.. ie: either him or the overlord and he chose self preservation.

well it has to be either him or swaggs that killed king last night. only two people are exhausted. Scan one of them, but both people should scan the same person IMHO...that way if one of kwhit/fouts is the second spawn we can get them both.

I don't think we should scan the same person. We did that yesterday and it told us nothing. In fact, it made me suspicious of Fouts.

I've been thinking about it, and I'm not sure we can assume that to be the case due to the voice we're hearing in our heads. It's possible that something else killed King (the spirit of the OL, maybe)....

We could do this..

1 person scan Swaggs, 1 scan Dubb today.

Tommorrow if we havent found the last Spawn (asuming there is one left), we can have kwhit scan fouts and fouts scan kwhit

The following day if we still haven't found the spawn (Hopefully we will before then), we can start going down the list of people who we trusted but havent been cleared/scanned yet.

Just a thought I guess.. it seems logical that one of the two exhausted people is our guy. So we start with them hoping to finish this today. If we arent lucky with that, we just do a litmus test of our testers and go systematically from there. It should just be a process of elimination.

Well I think there are 2 spawn left out of these two groups

dubb/swaggs - 1 spawn
kwhit/fouts - 1 spawn

if you both scan dubb and you say clean and he's not we get two spawn.
if you both scan dubb and you both say clean we know it's swaggs as 1 then it's 50/50 for the other.
if you both scan dubb and both say spawn we know it's dubb as 1 then it's 50/50 for the other.
if you scan fouts and say spawn he's automatically going to say you are spawn so we are stuck w/ 50/50 for today and then again between dubb/swaggs could lead to 4 days w/ kills and a spawn victory.

The rules say they have to kill all of us, not just equal numbers as us.. Even though I don't see how once it gets 1:1 how its winable even if they arent dead yet... But anyways the numbers are on our side right now, there has to be a systematic method to be able to do this with the least risk.

I also haven't been out on an away mission in order to get infected. I think I should be in a circle of trust at least as much as anybody that I have cleared with the spawn-tester.

As I said yesterday, I had sent in my scan of RA because I was suspicious of him. I missed your post because I didn't realize you were CW.

Well dubbs has been there a few times when people have died this game. Barkeep made it clear that the sleeping quarters are pretty large though and wrap like halfway around the ship. So being one place in the sleeping quarters does not mean you can know what happened on the other side like 5 football fields away.

Can I give an order for a position that no one has any longer? Ie: without any second officer, can I still give a second officer order and promote someone as captain? Or without a warden, can I still give a warden order and order people into the brig?
