Surprisingly no. I had watched a video about some woman who was romance scammed. Not surprisingly the scammer lived in Nigeria. So I did a little googling and I find that the US government itself is sending aid to the tune of $800,000,000/year to Nigeria. (So our government is also being romance scammed) So I wrote an email saying that if we're sending this much money to Nigeria, maybe we could attach a few strings such as having scammers subject to extradition. The response I got ignored the main point, but basically defended the need for the yearly aid. They need to buy helicopters and other military equipment to combat Boko Haram and African ISIS (which sounds like a disease).

Wife and I shared our first Coca Cola Dreamworld. She liked it, I'm indifferent.
Not sure how to describe the taste. It's supposed to be somewhat fruity but tastes like a weak Coke Zero with an after taste. |

I thought it was clearly a mango/citrus flavor. It's decent. Starlight by far my favorite although I've never tried Byte.

I would put Gary Gulman on the top of a list of the most underrated comics of the past 25 years, no question.
If for no other reason than this bit:

Kellogg's Launches Cereal and Milk Bowls Water Being lactose intolerant now, this is not an option for me anymore. You would have never convinced 7-8 year old me that people would voluntarily eat cereal with powdered milk.

In my later years I discovered that powdered milk was great to have around for baking/recipes that call for milk/buttermilk when I never seem to have it in the fridge....but it all tastes like crap on its own. I imagine Kellogg's solution is some version of maximum sugar saturation.

I feel old.
I was having a conversation with someone and mentioned that Matt Ryan was pretty old for an NFL QB. Then I realized that Matt Ryan is a year younger than me.

Just spent under an hour "helping" a library assistant do a mail merge.
The worst thing about it was that I had literally gone through the *exact* same process with the actual librarian about a week ago but she had now gone on vacation and had only given the assistant a basic outline of what to do. "But can't you just do it for me?" "No because then I'll be doing it every time for you and it is not my job." |

Got a BB gift card so went on the website to check out 4k movies to add to my collection. I'll wait till Black Friday but just wanted to see what was out there.
There is a 4k version of 1987 "Fatal Attraction" for $20. Who in their right mind would think there is a (sufficient) market for that. Especially since we know that 1987 4k version can't really be of 4k quality. Same with "Platoon" for $27. What am I missing here? |

It'd been a while for me too but it came about quite organically really. Kid was doing a fantasy football draft with some buddies & they were on speaker phone. They mentioned some guy that (I gathered) must have changed his name recently or something and Will mentioned "Metta World Peace". I paused a beat and said "I'll see your Metta World Peace and raise you World B. Free" And that's how I ended up Googling to put a time frame on my reference & discovered his current age.

no just fucking no. I understand they offer a vacation from the drudgery of eating yet another dill pickle in your life but really when you stop and think real hard, you are completely wrong. Maybe you just need to eat a BETTER tasting dill pickle as there ARE some lame ones out there. Also sweet pickles are better than bread and butter too. |

I had the same thought. He was my go-to shooting guard from the 1982 set, I think it was.

I somehow missed this late last year. Did you guys talk about this michigan couple that didn't feed their 8 month old daughter and it literally starved to death. (oh yeah they lived on a cult "farm" and didn't believe in medicine)

Ragu or someone should package pasta sauce in single serving pouches so you don't have to open an entire jar for one kids lunch

It does exist. My daughter was excited about it because she likes to eat pasta quite often.
She said it was awful. We threw away the rest of the packs.

I wonder if its similar to the sauce packs you get in pizza kits, which is...sweeter, I think?

I didn't taste it. I just know my daughter hated it so we got rid of it after one packet.

Fewer simple pleasures in life then finding a nice, large, round, chip when you are getting to the bottom of the bag.
Million dollar idea- a machine that takes all the small pieced at the bottom of the chip bag and reforms them into larger ones. |
