It's pretty clear that all day, I've been trying to make sure we don't lose, in case PB ends up being good. I'm not sure that PB is bad, but that's my best guess. I didn't say in there that I was sure about PB.

Good thing we had you on the case, voting PB for us.

Come on, Heinz had a much stronger case in the end.

Count it up, Lathum and I would have been votes 3 & 4 on Heinz which would have given a wolf a golden opportunity to flip since PB would have only had 6 or 7 (max if everyone else voted).

There's a ton of pages, and I'm not paying enough attention to count it now. It's not a big deal, just would have been nice if you had one. I still don't buy your move as villager-friendly, personally, especially given how many districts you control -- I think you still need to be scanned.

I'm always villager-friendly. I don't care to be scanned at all.

Then I guess you'd better hope heinz isn't the seer -- if so, he's probably already put in the order to scan you.

Hope? I just said I found Heinz's case more believable. Thus, I believe he's the seer and I just said I welcomed a scan...

Ugh...been home for about a half hour, but my Internet connection is the shit once more. I HATE it when I can't get on.

I am going to try to proceed. I will get things up tonight, God willing. But if you have any night actions, send them in now (with conditionals if the night results affect your choices).

The most pivotal day in Congress began with a bang, as jeheinz declared to the Floor that he was none other than the highered Seer from the Wolf Discovery Act, and that he had found his Wolf!

He pointed triumphantly at PurdueBrad.

You couldn't have shocked PurdueBrad more had you told him his mother had voted against him.

He vehemently denied jeheinz's accusations, and pointed the finger right back. Both squared off in heated debate, as others joined in. Surely there must be a wolf among them, right?

The votes started to fall on each side, but most Congressmen decided it was jeheinz's proclamation that had the ring of truth in it. At the end, it is PurdueBrad holding the short straw.

As the Congressional bailiffs approach him, PurdueBrad's irate glare turns briefly despondent before finally edging toward maniacally wicked.

"You fools!" he screamed. "You may have found me, but there are others waiting to take my place. Our day will come!"

With that, he pulls out a hideously sharp knife with a Wolf emblem on the hilt from inside his suit and leaps at jeheinz...

The bailiffs jump for him and bring him to the ground, disarming him.

PurdueBrad laughs from underneath the arms of the guards.

"Ha! You may have stopped me, but I'm not as brutal as my pals anyway," he snarled. "Watch yourselves should you run into my kind again!"

With that, he is escorted from the Floor to an uncomfortable jail cell.

PURDUEBRAD WAS A WOLF!

For the moment (elections, after all, are moments away), Tyrith gains control of both the 4th and 5th districts PurdueBrad once controlled.

Bills and elections coming...

Outside of the excitement of PurdueBrad's discovery, some actual work was done as well.

The Bills Be Gone Bill veto by Pres. illinifan999 was overturned, barely reaching quorum for the vote to count. It goes immediately into law.

As such, the roles already passed (Bodyguard, Seer, Witness, Doctor) are permanently in place, and no more bills need be passed for political purposes.

The anti-Bodyguard wolf clause has also been legislated into existence, which also freezes wolf riders from here on forward.

CARP officially met quorum and was passed, but was immediately voided by the overturn of the BBGB veto.

henry296 was elected the new Speaker of the House, a role he will hold just one year--if he survives election. He will then preside over the election of a new Speaker (perhaps himself) tomorrow.

Finally...elections are almost here...

P.S. the Sneak clause wolf rider is now out of existence with the removal of PurdueBrad from the game.

Presidential Election

And here are the results you have been waiting for. We'll do this in one post this time...

1st: TYRITH over KWhit, 99% to 1%
2nd: TYRITH over KWhit, 97% to 3%
3rd: TYRITH over KWhit, 96% to 4%
4th: TYRITH over KWhit, 93% to 7%
5th: TYRITH over KWhit, 91% to 9%
6th: TYRITH over KWhit, 90% to 10%
7th: TYRITH over KWhit, 88% to 12%
8th: TYRITH over KWhit, 86% to 14%
9th: TYRITH over KWhit, 83% to 17%
10th: TYRITH over KWhit, 63% to 37%
11th: TYRITH over KWhit, 57% to 43%
12th: TYRITH over KWhit, 55% to 45%
13th: TYRITH over KWhit, 53% to 47%
14th: TYRITH over KWhit, 51% to 49%
15th: KWHIT over Tyrith, 51% to 49%
16th: KWHIT over Tyrith, 53% to 47%
17th: KWHIT over Tyrith, 55% to 45%
18th: KWHIT over Tyrith, 61% to 39%

TYRITH IS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, IN A LANDSLIDE!

He took 14 of the 18 Districts.

Political analysts point to KWhit's polarizing liberal stance on the issues, and a well-orchestrated slurry and support program by the Republican Party for the dominant victory.

The Republicans Up For Vote

Passacaglia wins going away.
Tyrith's token replacement takes his spot.
illinifan999, the former President, is VOTED OUT by a slim margin
jeheinz72 wins his seat.

Passacaglia still runs the 1st and 2nd Districts.
Tyrith now runs the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Districts.
jeheinz72 now runs the 7th, 8th and 9th Districts.

illinifan999 is still in the game and may attempt to go for re-election in two years.

Republican supporters are certain the election results for the former President were tampered with.

"There seemed to be a lot of press going on for the President, but it suddenly got very negative," one supporter said. "Looks like negative won the day."

The Democrats Up For Vote

henry296 is VOTED OUT by a slim margin. He's OUT OF THE GAME!
Chubby wins re-election handily.
mccollins wins his seat back going away.
chesapeake will return to Congress.
Lathum was VOTED OUT strongly. He's OUT OF THE GAME!
KWhit will return to his seat, having lost the Presidential election.

Chubby now runs the 10th, 11th and 12th Districts.
mccollins still runs the 13th, 14th and 15th Districts.
chesapeake still runs the 16th District.
KWhit now runs the 17th and 18th Districts.

Democrat supporters are shocked at the loss of both henry and Lathum. Lathum may have lost fairly, but it appears that foul play was on hand for henry's election.

"A Republican targeted him, I just know it," said one henry supporter. "We had all sorts of support in this district. No way we lose this one legit."

HENRY296 and LATHUM were both regular Democrats with no roles.

NIGHT SIX HAS NOW BEGUN. DEADLINE AT 7 A.M. EST / 4 A.M. PDT

You awake to the news that chesapeake is being investigated by the FBI for housing scandals in the subprime market downturn. No one can be associated with that hot button issue nowadays and survive it. chesapeake is forced to resign!

CHESAPEAKE WAS A DEMOCRAT AND THE BODYGUARD!

mccollins receives control of the 16th District.

DAY SEVEN HAS NOW BEGUN. DEADLINE IS 9 P.M. EST / 6 P.M. PDT

You need to elect a new Speaker (henry is still eligible) and keep hunting wolves. The Democrats at the least need a new liaison, and the Repubs needs a new Leader, as Tyrith has ascended a level. The other party spots are also open for consideration if anyone desires to change them.

Polling coming shortly.

I sense confusion in both parties about proposing bills.

That's gone, guys. The BBGB was the bill to end all bills.

This is now a straight WW game, more or less (with elections every two days! ).

I'm not sure what will happen if we vote one of them out and they nightkill me (or possibly Heinze). That might let them get control of 8 districts.

If henry is out of the game, I doubt he's eligible for Speaker.

I've nominated KWhit for everything in our thread.

Anyhow, glad to see you folks believed in me.

I scanned Chubby last night, of course not anticipating the dual loss of villager votes in Henry and Lathum (though I had Lathum ranked 3rd as potential wolf).

Chubby came up clean, so frankly, that leaves 2 possibilities

1. He's the cunning
2. Shit is all fucked up and we're looking at KWhit somehow being a wolf, Pass somehow being a wolf or Tyrith being the cunning (I scanned him after that rider was passed)

So we've got 7 voters and 2 wolves. The 5 of us who are good *really* need to have a good/smart day today.

Let's say today we vote out mccollins. I assume some of his districts would go to me and some would go to Chubby. However, if I'm then nightkilled, my guess is that all of my districts would also go to Chubby, so he'd have control of 8 of the wolves win.

Well, i'm thinking Collins is likely the brutal.

Looking back at the Collins/Chubby exchange yesterday, when I started calling Chubby a terrible wolf, etc. Collins seemed to agree, with almost a tinge of frustration coming forth, as in he was the partner getting hosed by the poor wolf play. That's how it came across to me, though I'm still trying to figure out if that's because I wanted them to be the wolves or if it's because they are indeed the wolves.

Ok, so Tyrith can't be night-killed, and he's likely good. If we lynch Chubby, Collins (must then be a wolf) and would have 6 districts (worst case)

Ty would have 4 and I'd have 4.

So it'd be 8-6 for the village.

If somehow we are wrong, then either KWhit or Pass is the last wolf. In which case, they'd each have just 2, so it'd be 10-8 for the village.

Then we would have to have the doc make a 50/50 block on guessing if they night kill me or they night kill KWhit.

I think if we lynch Collins, and he's the brutal and brutals me, Chubby could be looking at a whole mess of districts. He'd have 6 or 7, but then all the doc would have to do is protect you since they couldn't night-kill Tyrith to move upwards anyhow.

That may not be a bad idea.

Assuming we have the brutal picked out correctly. I'm not sure on that yet.
