Cards go outside their organization for the first time since 1993 and hire Monti Ossenfort as their GM from the Titans, never heard of him guess that's a good thing?

Sounds like Harbaugh is staying at Michigan. The best decision for everyone.

As a Saints fan, I am happy that a major fallback option for teams looking at Sean Payton is off the table.

Brady's arm motion on that pass and Huntley's at the end of his failed QB sneak were almost identical. Just a terrible decision there. That's not something you can excuse - a rookie would get benched for throwing that pass.

It almost looked like he was trying to throw it away and just didn't get enough lift on it. That would be the best-case scenario to explain that throw.

Not getting a Jaguar comeback vibe here.

Maher is closing in on the goalposts. Found the right one, now he's found the left one. I bet he gets the next one through.

What would be the odds for a Tampa Bay win bet now? Not that I've ever bet on sports or am tempted now.

I am busy doing some stuff, so I am not watching the game. But I just saw that the kicker has missed three extra points. Is there something going on? Or did he just legit miss three extra points?

6-1 on Fanduel.

I hit the Jags 9-1 Saturday but wouldn't touch Tampa here.

Total misses. First two were boomed and high and just off to the right a bit. Last one was tentative and a bit squibbed and left. Nothing wrong with the snap or hold as far as I can tell.

It looks like somebody didn't film the defense for Tom Brady.

If you look at his numbers at mid-season and compare that to since that point, he's throwing picks like he never did his entire career and he isn't throwing downfield at all.

I wonder if there's a serious arm injury or something along those lines. That pick, which looks like it effectively ended the competitive part of this game, was inexplicable. He didn't see anything there and the right move would have been to throw it ten feet out the back of the end zone.

Meanwhile... Maher? Do they give him another shot? Or wait, since it looks like that TD's coming back.

Since I watch television with the sound off, what was the call on the TD? The receiver was out of the back of the end zone. Was it a catch because the ball was tipped, or because the receiver had some contact in the end zone and made a good-faith effort to get right back in?

Ball was tipped and he re-established before the catch.

Everything that could go wrong for TB, has.

Since they are in TB perhaps Dallas can try out Roberto Aguayo after the game.

I think McCarthy should definitely let him keep trying at this point.

I don't know what Brady's even trying to do at this point. With his knowledge of the game, I don't think he's seeing ghosts. His motion is slow and the ball isn't going anywhere near receivers.

Yeah. But this is the only story line currently keeping this game interesting.

That was a nice drive, several pin-point throws, including one at distance with touch for the TD. Now I'm quite confused.

What's the record for most TDs in a game without an XP?

Can't forget your assignment like that. It wasn't exactly an unusual formation. It might have been better for Maher to get the shot from 35 on 4th-and-4, but at least he hit an extra point properly tonight.

The total in this game was 45.5. Tampa scores here and there may be a lot of losses off bettors at Maher.

I think Brady comes back for at least one more year, either TB or maybe LV, simply because you can't retire after ruining your marriage to play one shitty season that ended like that.

Having Todd Bowles as your coach is way different than Arians. Also, how can you win when you have a 46 year old QB and try to throw 66 times. It wasn't like they started running but had to throw when they were behind. They literally ran the ball like 8 times in the first half.

Tom Brady's volume passing stats this season were ridiculous. Despite rarely looking good, he set the single-season NFL record for completions in a season.

The 66 attempts last night was top-10, regular season or playoffs, for passing attempts in a game. But of those 10, this was the only time the team had less than 17 points.

I think he can still be good on a very good team (that can run the ball) that needs a QB. There's a few of those. Raiders, Dolphins maybe. Jets. I don't know if the Dolphins want to go through the whole Tua saga again, maybe he could be a backup for a year and reset.

Looks like it's OC Scapegoat Day - Chargers also fired their OC.

I think it is fair to ask whether Tom wants to be on a team that runs the ball. Does a team need to scrap its running game to cater to what Tom wants.

You know a team would a good running game that just needs a quality quarterback? The Atlanta Falcons. That is never happening, but that would be hilarious.

The OC has been earmarked to be fired for most of the season. Staley can say that the defense just got tired because the shitty OC couldn't not give them a break by running the ball. Some of the Charger 2nd half offensive numbers from that game on Saturday are beyond horrible. The fourteen play drive that resulted in a missed FG had a time of possession of six minutes and fifty seven seconds. The other three second half drive had a combined time of possession of seven minutes and one second. They ran the ball seven times for sixteen yards. Herbert scrambled once for thirteen of those yards. As long as Staley was willing to sacrifice the OC, he could save his job.

A lot of Steelers fans have been down on the current guy (Matt Canada) but he's had two years where he has had patchwork offensive lines with Roethlisberger (whose arm was shot) and then the combo of Trubisky/Pickett that were both new to the system. Not sure he has gotten a fair shake, but I'd probably take the Super Bowl winning Leftwich, too. Plus, Leftwich won the SB with the Steelers as a player under Tomlin.

Yeah, he has made a lot of questionable decisions and cost them some games. Way too talented of a roster to be a fringe playoff squad.
