I'm not sure where to go at this point. Is there any doubt in your minds about your course of action?

Is there any merit to discussing actions beyond this lynch?

What is the square root of Pi?

Well considering you've at least sent dubb off on a course against me without justification you seem to think there's some value.

I thought Dubb was targeting Taz, due to his deeply suspect height.

You have to admit you've dropped almost too many hints against Barkeep for you not to know something about him.

I've tried to be the befuddled, confused ghost of Hoopsguy.

Hopefully this character is not an exact mirror of the alive Hoopsguy.

Although some people among us may not want you to believe it, not everything I've sait today is steaming pile of yak crap. It is hard to discern between this world and other worlds that may come to pass, but I'm certain that I've helped to hang a demon (or demons?) with my inane banter.

Barkeep, you seem to be the guy that keeps up on vote tallies, I don't see a vote from WVUFan or Cronin. Anyone else we missing? Or did I actually just overlook their votes?

Yes, sacrifice Barkeep to the elementals tonight.

That damn random number generator selected him as the sacrifice ... could have been anyone, really.

Humans

Quote:
Priest
In tune with the gods, in command of mysterious powers, you may, as
a once per game night action, resurrect anyone who has been killed,
be it from lynching or from murder.

Seer
With the power to see into the souls of men, you may, as a once per
night action, determine anyone's true allegiance. You will also get
a rough (very rough) idea of your target's ability, if any.

Knight
More than a common foot soldier, you are sworn to protect. Every night,
you may stand vigil over one person's bed, protecting them from night
kills. You may NOT protect yourself, but you may protect the same person
multiple times in a row.

Lord
While you have kept your title hidden for now, if need be, you may wield
it as a weapon. Once per game, you may override the lynch vote and name
anyone you choose.

Thief
Master of the night, you slip through the shadows unseen. Once per game
as a night action, you may use your talents to poison another player, killing
them instantly.

Bard
A combination rogue and entertainer, your quick wit and charm has gotten you
out of many nasty situations. As such, if you are targeted for a night kill,
you will manage to talk your way out of danger. This only works once per game
and does not aid against lynching.

Druid
With an understanding of the Elementals, you and only you have the power to
commune with them, offering sacrifice to them in the hopes of getting them
on your side. As a night action, you may sacrifice one of the following animals
(your choice) to the Elementals.

Yak, Goat, Trout, Squid, Rhino, Hippo

You may choose whichever you like as many times as you'd like. No limitations.
If your offering is accepted, you will be notified in private of the exact favor
the elementals have granted you. Likewise, if the Warlock's offering is accepted,
you will be notified of the exact favor granted to the enemy.

Oracle
You can see into the world beyond, and on occaison, make contact with them.
As a once per game night action, you may call back a dead soul, allowing that
player to speak in public for one day period. The player has no voting or PM
ability, they may only speak in public.

Grizzled Soldier
A veteran of many fights, your words carry no small amount of weight in desperate
times. As such, in case of a tie lynching vote, you and you alone will decide
who is lynched. If there is a tie, whoever *you* vote for will be executed, regardless
of how many votes they received. The only exception to this rule is if you are one
of the players involved in the tie. If this is the case, other tiebreakers apply.
This ability comes into affect once per game, after which other tiebreakers apply.

Soldier
A common foot soldier of this fortress, you are surrounded by psychopaths and magicians.
However, your discipline and loyalty to the cause is unquestioned, and that gives you
some extra weight in times of crisis.

In case of a tie lynch vote, your vote, and the vote of any other common soldier, counts
double that of anyone else.

Demons

Quote:
Necromancer
You are tied to the realm of death, with all the dark powers associated with it. Once per
game, you andmay choose to resurrect a human player and bind him to your will,
in essence making him a member of the Demonic side. That player will have full PM rights
with the rest of the Demons, and will be counted among you for all victory-related conditions.
This power is used IN PLACE of a night kill.

Assassin
A deadly night hunter, your knowledge of poisons is highly prized, and highly lethal. Once per
game as an extra night action, you may designate 1 player to be secretly poisoned. That player
will die in the following night (IE - The NEXT night turn, not the one where you poison him).

Warlock
With an understanding of the Elementals, you and only you have the power to
commune with them, offering sacrifice to them in the hopes of getting them
on your side. As a night action, you may sacrifice one of the following animals
(your choice) to the Elementals.

Yak, Goat, Trout, Squid, Rhino, Hippo

You may choose whichever you like as many times as you'd like. No limitations.
If your offering is accepted, you will be notified in private of the exact favor
the elementals have granted you. Likewise, if the Druid's offering is accepted,
you will be notified of the exact favor granted to the enemy.

Elementals

Quote:
Elemental.

Half man, half magical being, you are tied to the base elements of this world.
You are a creature of extrodinary power, and have lived through the ages, watching
mankind unfold. You will survive regardless of which side wins, but there exists
a unique opportunity for your kind in this hour of desperation.

As per the public rules, the Druid and the Warlock are both vying for your services.
Every night, you and your fellow Elemental decide upon an animal which you would
prefer to be sacrificed to you. Your decision is sent to me via PM as a standard
night action. The list:

Yak, Goat, Trout, Squid, Rhino, Hippo

Real simple. Send me which one you want that night (no limitations on picking the
same one, et cetera), and if the Warlock or Druid guess correctly, you will honor
their sacrifice with a Favor(tm). When this happens, I will notify you with exactly
which Favor you have granted (there is a short list which is chosen at random.

The big dark secret, which none may ever know, however, is that every sacrifice
that is NOT awarded a Favor benefits you and your kind greatly. With every beast
slain in your name that is NOT the animal you chose that night, you and your fellow
Elementals gain strength. Gain enough strength, and your kind shall transcend your
limitations and acheive godhood, gaining complete control over the entire universe!

In short...your goal is to keep the Druid and the Warlock alive, and keep them from
succesfully earning your Favor. The more times they sacrifice to you and receive
nothing, the stronger you become. Should you reach a certain level (specifically,
11 "failed" sacrifices and you will attain godhood), the Elementals win.

Fun game, all.

I'm looking for a recap of the demons actions.
Why go after Saldana for a 2nd straight night is the first question.
The poison question is now answered.

I'll say this now. I knew 100% that hoops and barkeep were on my side when the demons attacked saldana twice.

We were doubting saldana as it was, eventually we probably would have sacrificed him.

When the 2nd attack happened, I knew neither hoops nor barkeep would have agreed to that. Seer or no seer, I began trusting those two more at that point.

Yeah ... our basic strategy was to try to keep the game going as long as possible. We should have smited hoopsguy early on. I don't think we could have won, though - the demons just played really poorly. (imo)

Without going back to my notes...

1 - Kill Saldana (Barded) & Poison King
2 - Kill Saldana & King Dies
3 - Convert Saldana
4 - Kill Dac
5 - Kill hoops
6 - Kill king

As far as how I played the Ghost, I wanted to accuse the demon. But I wanted to bury it under enough crap that it wasn't 100% sure. So I decided to pit the two guys I met for dinner - Ardent and Barkeep against each other.

Someone asked me who else would be a demon, so I went random # generator and it landed on Taz.

On the "sacrifice Barkeep" that was also random #, and I laughed my ass of at it because I was going to say whoever the # gave me - including telling Ardent to sacrifice himself. I knew no one was taking me seriously by that point, so I just wanted to have fun with the role.

CW, glad you enjoyed it and thanks again for letting me play it out.

Well, when I tried to get Gram lynched, it was because at that time it seemed like the demons were winning - I assumed (incorrectly) that even though he was protected (due to proper sacrifice by pass) that he would be revealed, so that he would be correctly lynched the next day - but it didn't really matter. I wanted Gram lynched, and the demons to come after me, or me lynched, or some combination. I was also mistaken in thinking Sun was human - that was due to the vagueness of the pms. I jumped to the wrong conclusion, which didn't really matter. Basically I was trying to make sure that the game didn't end before we attained Godhood. If we had killed hoopsguy after he scanned dac, we would have had a much better shot.
