I hate Buffalo Wild Wings opening every single one of my containers to show me that they did it right. Hey, thanks for letting all the steam escape and speeding up the cooling process. So.. you are showing me that you got it right. If it is wrong, are you going to remake everything?

So, the great thing about tootsie roll pops is the contrast between the fruit-flavor on the outside, and the chocolate tootsie roll in the middle. Given that, what genius thought it would be a good idea to make chocolate tootsie roll pops?

When I tell people I marched in the gay pride parade, they ask if I'm gay. If I marched in an NAACP event, would they ask if I was black?

How stupid are the SURROUND SOUND MODES on audio receivers?

Every receiver has them, but has anybody, ever, in the history of recorded time ever used them? I tried them out when I first got my first surround sound receiver, but never since have I ever had the desire to know what it would sound like to watch a movie in a 'hall' or listen to AM radio in a simulated stadium. They're all just different levels of echo, right? Why would I want that? Why even use an extra knob to put that shit on there?

Hoo boy.. what a day already and it's 8:00 am.

Suffer a panic attack at about 11:00 PM the night before (my first in about a year, the last ones were brought on by work stress, I can't figure what brought these on).

Deal with that, and stressed out, fall asleep around midnight. Wake up at 4 am.

Go out, get milk and stuff..

It's now 8:00 AM.

Decide "You know, if I play City of Heroes for a bit, that'll wind me down a bit, and I can get a few more hours of sleep.

Server down for maintenance.

Ugh.

Ok, how about World of Warcraft? Working on my Warrior should help..

Server down for maintenance.

UGH.

Decide, ok, time to load up a FM2010 save. Can't take down THAT for server maintenance...

I was on my way into work this morning. As I exited the highway and was sitting at the light waiting to turn, I saw a guy standing on the corner pretending that he was holding a rifle and taking very careful aim at a building far in the distance. I sat at the light for a few seconds and the guy never moved. He just stood there holding his invisible rifle steady, completely focused on his target.

It was awesome because all of the employees stopped what they were doing as if this was a regularly occurring event. I have no idea why she said that but soon as I got home I've been telling everyone I WILL SUE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Stuff like that makes me want to work at one of those places and people watch all day.

So, I'm at my cousin's house. I'm playing video games with their two sons, ages 4 and 7, when this exchange occurs out of the blue:

7 year old: "You need to tell my mom to stop smoking so she won't die."
4 year old: "What?!!? Mom isn't going to die!"
Me: "Smoking can kill you if you do it for a long time."
4 year old: "She only smokes for like two or three minutes at a time."

After four straight penalties attempting the extra point, my youth football team ran it in up the middle, untouched, from the 32 yard line.

Not bad.

I admit I was surprised to see Todd Collins is/was still holding down a NFL quarterback job. I mean, Todd Collins? Why not try Rick Mirer, Drew Bledsoe, Charlie Ward, JP Losman, Patrick Ramsey, or Kyle Boller?

Of course, I don't pay much attention to the NFL these days. Maybe the ol' Wolverine has led a few teams to Super Bowls or something.

Just to be "that guy"... uhh Collins had a job as recently as last year. Didn't do bad a few seasons ago in a playoff pinch.

Mirer- out of the league since '04
Bledsoe- ditto '07
Ward- come on, never played football
Losman- complete bust
Ramsey- plays for the Jags
Boller- plays for the Raiders

So really, your only realistic argument could have been "why doesn't JP Losman have a job over Todd Collins?"

Haha, follow the league more.

Besides, the guy you should be asking about is Marc Bulger, and the story according to talk radio here is that the Bears didn't sign him because Cutler didn't want him.

Got this story from my best friend who is a teacher. He heard it from one of the football coaches.

Before their most recent game, coach is giving them pep talk. They have an autistic kid who is the "manager" (think the Jason kid who made the 7 3 pointers at the end of the game, made big news on ESPN ).

Whole team fired up, jumping, yelling. Coach asks "are we contenders or pretenders?" And adds " do we have any pretenders in here?"

Crescendo building, the manager shouting over top everyone else-

"Coach...coach...I admit it. I'm just here to hang out with the guys. I'm a pretender"

Given all the military jokes I've heard through the years, I can't believe I'd never heard this particular one

The three most dangerous things in the Army.
1. 2nd Lt. that says, "It's been my experience.....
2. A Private that says, "I understand....
3. An Old MSGT that says, "Watch this shit........."

41-21 over Potosi last night. Felt good to hate Potosi again. They beat my team my senior year back in 1993 to knock us out of the Top 10 in state and it eventually kept us out of the playoffs.

14 years later I'm in the booth for that stinking town. Never felt right wearing Purple and Gold. It was nice to put 41 on a 6-2 team that honestly should have been 4-4.

I think someone is switching my sodas at work. I usually like to stick my soda in the freezer so that when I drink it is kinda like a slush. Lately I noticed that every time I go to retrieve my soda that it is warm as if it was just put in there. I am going to mark the bottom today so if someone takes it I will be able to know who and force em to buy me a whole pack.

That's the thing they're not stealing it per se they are just switching it for a non-cold one. I suspect it might be one of the other coaches in particular one of the defensive coaches.

I'm seeing an interesting one here - and I can't really say if it's for MD, VA or what - that is alleging a guy is OVERBURDENING our school children (look at those dreadfully heavy backpacks!). I can only assume that means that the public schools are getting too much funding. I don't hear that one very often, at least not as an attack.

If Aldi's sold Pepsi or Coke, I'd probably shop there more often. I hate it when i need 3 or 4 things, and want some soda. But I'm not about to drink generic soda, it's like smoking generic cigarettes.
