Wow, big deal.... Ibaka to Orlando for Sabonis and Oladipo?

If the Thunder are getting like Aaron Gordon or something it could be intriguing, but otherwise that seems like a trade where either the Thunder know Durant's out the door or that he's signed off on the move. Wow.

edit: Oladipo's good too, but Ibaka was preeeetty important to them in the Warriors series

Skal in Boston with one of these upcoming picks would be interesting. Two highly-ranked recruits who disappointed a bit this season, and there's probably a good chance one of them pans out with under Stevens.

Philadelphia getting that 2019 unprotected pick from the Kings is looking better. Actually thought Chriss was a good pick for them because even if they didn't want him he'd have more trade value than anyone going forward, but then Papagiannis at 13 (I think there will be better international bigs available even into the 2nd round) threw a lot of that away.

More I think about it, more I like the trade by OKC (Assuming Durant stays, anyway). If all you're going to do on offense is play 4-out, might as well be İlyasova camped behind the arc instead of Ibaka. On D he's a step down, but with the way Adams improved in the post season, maybe you can live with that. Oladipo in theory is a big boost at guard though, if he becomes the defender everyone figured he would be when he was drafted.

This draft feels like a random player generator.

Also feels like we'll see the most 1st rounders to never log a minute on an NBA court with all these foreign picks.

I'm guessing the Celtics saw a little too much of Paul Millsap this May and are reaching a bit to try to get their own version of him. The Grizzlies, not the Clippers, getting Baldwin when they were thought to be picking Richardson is about as big a positive swing as you can find in this draft. Ellenson to the Pistons is certainly a good enough gamble at this stage; they were looking for Montiejunas with the pick in February and got another big who can shoot threes and is cheaper.

I like the Ellenson pick for Detroit. I think he is going to be a solid player, maybe a poor man's Dirk type

The Clippers-Memphis trade was on a fake Mark Stein account.

OOPS that was a fake trade that got retweeted. Malik Beasley is a good value for the Nuggets and if they trade Murray to Philly for Noel, Denver would be set up as good as anyone i the West outside of Minnesota.

Brooklyn is in full-on high risk, high-reward mode with LeVert; not a bad pick there considering their downside can't really get any worse over the next few years. Apparently Maker was their first choice at 20 and that led to the Bucks taking him. Luwawu falling to the Clippers would a great match.

Boogie has already tweeted his disgust once tonight, so Skal to fall to the Kings would be just about perfect.

I still don't think Richardson should've left this year but next year's draft class is looking pretty stacked.

I really like the OKC deal for them.

Meanwhile the Hawks trade turns out to be mostly insignificant most likely. Just couldn't get quite high enough to grab Poeltl or Sabonis, both of which would have at least had a chance to raise their ceiling overall.

Certainly seems like Ainge is giving up on the dream of being truly competitive this season and is going to bank on Brown and two more Brooklyn picks stacking the roster. I know a trade for a star isn't impossible, but the plan sure looks like bank developmental assets overseas and wait.

Of course that strategy will still get them to the playoffs and they aren't that far from the second best team in the East.

This has been pretty solid draft for Philadelphia so far after Simmons. Really dodged a lot of bullets so far with the trades that were getting proposed to get them a 2nd top 10. Luwawu and Korkmaz (who actually plays on the same team as Saric) went about 10-15 picks later than I expected, and Korkmaz is good to stash at this point.

This draft is so weak teams are taking fundamentally sound players over potential. Gonna laugh if Skal falls into the second round.

Could do worse at 28th; with what happened to Maker, Skal probably could have gone top-3 this year if he'd been ruled ineligible at Kentucky. I'd bet on him being the best of their three picks, but that's not saying much about the other two. Thought Murray would be good for the Warriors, but the Spurs sniped them. Expect lot of second round picks to get sold off; if the Lakers get Davis that would be an incredible draft for them just staying pat. Jones is some nice insurance for the Warriors in case Ezeli gets a huge offer.

Please, Lakers, draft McCaw. I know a big is needed, but damn it, I want him in purple and gold. Player I've enjoyed most since Stanback.
