I'd like to win and get it, but the scenarios where it matters are so unlikely I wouldn't be mad if they rested some of the DL or Welker, or if they used it to try and get Aiken/Edelman more involved before the playoffs, or getting Fred Taylor used to being the feature back again. Since 5/6 is so up in the air right now it's useless to know what's better from a 1st-round perspective. 2nd round I'd obviously prefer to play @SD than @Indy, but I think we're going to have to go through Indy regardless, so who cares if its put off until the AFCCG. The only way 3/4 matters for the AFCCG is if both us win first round and upset SD/Indy 2nd round - and that has maybe a 5% chance of happening.

Plus, losing to Houston wouldn't gift them a playoff spot, but could actually gift the Jets the spot between Indy's capitulation and then if Cincy, being the later game and having #3 locked up, rests its starters.

Hopefully Favre won't throw a pass & let his idiot HC have his way ... and they lose by 40.

See what happens when Cutler actually has time to throw?

With a Pats win, Cincy probaby rests its starters which could allow them to knock the Steelers out if the Jets win. Would that enter their thinking at all?

I have to think it would. As far as I'm concerned, getting the game at 8 is huge. At first I thought it sucked but now knowing that New England will have played and their result finished, the Bengals can all but try and pick their opponent.

A Bengals loss, I think guarantees a rematch with the Jets.

As a part-Eagles fan, I'm very happy with how this is developing for Philly next weekend.

Are you talking about the Bengals or the Pats there? I imagine if the Pats cared either way they would rather see the Steelers in the playoffs than a 3rd matchup with the Jets, unless they feel they gained schematic advantages that can still be exploited in between the two games.

Maybe it's just hindsight, but it's interesting to see all the teams that outperformed their expectations early (Minnesota, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Denver) collapsing or regressing and the "usual" teams (Pittsburgh, New England, Philadelphia) coming on strong.

I was talking about the Bengals given a Pats win earlier in the day.

Saints lost two in a row. Colts now with a loss and some turmoil. Minnesota down 10, maybe losing 3 out of the past 4, and turmoil. Tough to remember a stretch run at the end of the season where the top teams had various issues.

Winning two in a row after losing five in a row is coming on strong?

I wouldnt really call 13-2 collapsing. For that matter I wouldnt call 10-5 or 11-3 collapsing either. Looks like the Cutler we love is back.

Can anyone unbias tell me if they also think Childress is the worst playcaller in the NFL?

Its great if you force yourself to establish the run but come on you have a HOF QB are you are down 10 points in the 4th quarter. Pass the frikin ball on 3rd and 3.

Wierd how good the Vikings offense looks when they open it up. Too bad it takes them 3 quarters to figure it out.

Go Bears! I thought this game would be over when I turned it on a few minutes ago, but I'm happy to be wrong.

Lets hope not! Just gotta get them in 2nd and long and stop giving up 3-4 yards on 1st down. AND dont give up a huge return.

If the Vikings Special Teams can hold the Bears to the 30 yard line or less I like their chances being on defense first.. but allow them to gain momentum again with a big return, this one is over.

Nice sack even while being held. Good job defense, now the Bears just need a good return.

Is it wrong that I want Favre to lose all the time.

Just want him to go away already.
