Just think..if Iowa keeps doing this..the country could get the real treat of an Iowa/Alabama title game.

LSU actually looks like a top 10 team tonight. Granted, this Auburn team isn't very good right now, but still a nice offensive and defensive performance tonight. I would say complete performance, but we have had some horrid luck on special teams.

There's an ACC contender who wouldn't mind taking you up on that (and who knows, might just get the chance).

edit to add: Well, probably not get the chance, since I would figure a BCS Iowa ends up in the Rose against USC.

Michigan scored in the 30's vs Iowa with 5 turnovers on the road at night. Not that impressive.

I just hope Iowa is undefeated up until the last weekend, so an extremely shitty Minnesota Gophers team can pull off the upset in November!

Allen Bradford with a 43 yard TD run.

USC's defense has looked bad tonight (give Riley, Canfield, and the Rodgers credit for that), but USC's offense is looking good. It's great to have Ronald Johnson back. Barkley has showed that he is very capable of escaping pressure and making plays happen.

As a Beaver this game is killing me, we get close and then one of the fifty or so play makers you have on offense blows up on us. I'm proud of the Beavs though, they keep trying to come back.

Actually we beat the same Arizona team you did.

I'm just fucking with you but in all seriousness, if Iowa had played UW's schedule this year they are .500.

Iowa's schedule is a total joke. There are probably 20 teams that are 8-0 with that schedule.

Enjoy the win by all means, enjoy the 8-0, but don't kid yourself into thinking they could compete with the top teams in the country.

USC would easily beat Iowa. Their offense finally has almost everyone healthy and they are racking up the points and the yards. Their special teams are coming around too - as Damian Williams just had another great punt return for a TD.

Its coming. You underestimate Iowa. The schedule is what it is. Texas schedule is no stronger. A banged up OU team is its highlight win.

Right now our offense is weak, and I fully admit that. But it does just enough to win.

I am playing with you also. I enjoy the banter.

Your team keeps fighting hard and Mike Riley is a brilliant coach. When Pete eventually retires, I'd love Riley to come coach at USC. Canfield is playing great and I think Oregon State wins at least 8 games this year.

... and they've got the refs handing them touchdowns that shouldn't be. Defender doing "the Leon Lett" gets the ball knocked out before it crosses the line but touchdown awarded (even after replay, though you can put it together by the three angles to see when the ball comes out, the position is arm was in at the time the ball came out and where he was when his arm was in that position - his front foot had just crossed the line but he had the ball behind him when it was stripped).

The United States would easily be on Mars if they had spent the billions of dollars to get there.

You cannot say that USC would easily beat Iowa. Washington beat USC for goodness sakes.

Washington beat them when they were without their starting QB (who is still undefeated including impressive road wins at ND and Ohio State, two very hostile environments) and their best defender (not to mention they were missing their #2 WR and a few other significant contributors.) They also had a bunch of turnovers.

How many more times does Gabbert have to twist that fcking ankle, coach?

Doesn't matter, Texas beat our asses.. but damn.. what does getting him hurt even more do for the rest of the season?

Shipley is going to be a great Pro WR - at least I hope, he's fun to watch.

Iowa has played this season with a banged up offensive line and 2 freshmen RBs, who were forced to play after there starter went down in preseason. But we are 8-0.

And USC is known for token brain farts against lesser teams. Their record in the Rose Bowl recently, however, is really good.

And they looked very impressive with the 45 yards of passing in the first 3 1/2 quarters. Truly a giant of football.

Stanzi is a QB that isnt supposed to make mistakes and the ball off.

But he did have 60 yards of passing with 1:36 left in the game including a 7 yarder for a TD on 4th down with 2 seconds left in the game to get Iowa to 8-0. Truly, a giant clutch performance.

You know that phrase about "act like you've been there before"?

Most of them haven't.
