UW's game tonight against Arizona is the kind they need to win if they want to be a top program. Home game against a division opponent, need to take care of business.

The game is on FSN at 10EST, I recommend anyone who wants to see Jake Locker, one of the best QB's in the country watch.

A fumble following Arkansas TD, Auburn is going to need a big time comeback to win this one.

Another Arkansas TD, now 27-3 with a minute left in the 1st half. Wow.
Tennessee leads UGAg 14-10 with about 5 mins left in the half.
And VT leads BC 34-0 at the half, BC yet to complete a pass and outgained 293-3

West Virginia has finally put together a solid half without any turnovers. They lead Syracuse, 27-0.

I really hope the same thing doesn't happen to the undefeated Badgers. I really do anticipate a good fought battle with the Buckeyes winning a close one. I'm hoping the Badgers can pull out the victory and the key will be Pryor's passing abilities and the Badgers ability to slow down the DL for the Buckeyes.

Anybody else think it looks a bit ... odd, bordering on looking bad even, that Tom Rinaldi is wearing an extremely orange tie while in Baton Rouge covering the Tebow angle for ESPN?

I'm at work, so not watching any of the current games, but who is playing QB for the Vols?

Yahoo lists a J. Crompton with 12 of 15 for 203 yards and 3 TD, but they must have the QB name wrong. I'll e-mail them to have them fix it. It'll be interesting to find out who they have in there.

Did I just hear the announcer correctly in the OSU-A&M game? They showed a little girl kissing her dad after A&M scored, and the announcer said "A little father-daughter action. That's what it's all about."

Ex-announcer I'd hope. That's insanely inappropriate.

Pick six for Georgia cuts the UT lead to 24-19. Can't blame Crompton on that one though, right off the receivers hands to Rambo (yes, that's the DB's last name).

Huge TD run by Tat to make it 34-16 after the failed two point conversion.

Don't let them back in this one, Hogs!

If UGA loses this one, CMR might want to trade spots with Bobby Bowden because the heat from UGA is going to kick up a notch of twelve.

I dunno. The vibe around town this week seems to be that a staff rebuild is needed, from position coaches to recruiting. Barring a really long losing streak ghis seems like his mulligan year, the heat won't get intense until they have another subpar year after this one.

Fumbled snap on a fourth and maybe a quarter inch for Auburn. They recover, but it's a turnover on downs.

Syracuse has benched Paulus and his replacement, Ryan Nassib, has looked pretty solid w/ two TD passes. Syracuse has made a lot of mistakes (dropped passes, untimely penalties), but I think they are quite a bit better under Doug Marrone. WVU's offense was too efficient for them to make much of a game of this one, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Syracuse pop off Pitt, Rutgers, or UConn later on this season, once they figure out how to play a full game.

Dola...

It will be interesting to see if Paulus, the senior, is dropped to the backup so that Nassib, who I believe is an underclassman, can get more playing time to develop for the long-term.

38-19 Vols early in the 4th, the last TD pass by Crompton for 52 yds has to have been the single best ball he's thrown in his college career. And with 12 minutes left in Knoxville the Vols are shakily driving again.

Eric Berry with an great play, Georgia completes a pass on 4th & 1 for the first down, bar gets jarred loose and Berry catches the pop up. Not the record for IR yards though, it's a fumble instead.

8:38 left in K'ville and it's 1st & goal after a pass interference in the end zone.

I think it's safe to say that Paulus isn't a WVU fan at this point.

A good win and it was nice to have a chance to get Geno, Alston, Tavon, ect more reps. Pat Miller looks like he could be the type of corner WVU has been missing for quite some time. The first half showed that this team is capable of beating anyone while the 3rd quarter showed why this is likely a 9 win team.

45-19 final in Knoxvegas.

While I think CMR will weather this as a relatively mild storm, the same may not be true for Joe Cox. Problem is that Gray doesn't look ready as a QB either, at least not without installing an offense built around his skill set. And they don't want to waste redshirts on any of the other QB's on the roster, although local product Mettenberger would be a popular option if not for that.

The other thing that strikes is me how much better their running game was when they had Samuels as a feature back vs how they look now with RB by committee.

Miller looked really good against one of the better receivers in the nation. I'm guessing Keith Tandy is a permanent d-back from here forward.

I like us to win 10 with our schedule, but I agree with your point. Other than Cincy (maybe?), I think we'll be the most talented team on the field for every game remaining on our schedule.

LOL Auburn. Nobody should be surprised that they lost. They're not a great team.

The Greg Paulus story is interesting. Here's a guy who was supposedly all-world at football and basketball, and he winds up on the bench at Duke, and he switches to football, and winds up on the bench at Syracuse. Keep all razorblades out of his vicinity.

As I figured - the Buckeye DL is tough so far against the Badger OL but so far the only difference in this game is the interception returned for a touchdown.. Other than that the Badgers are moving the ball better than the Buckeyes but just making more mistakes.

In other news, Wyoming is beating MWC doormat New Mexico 30-13 in the 4th quarter. With this win, they'd be at 4-2, a real improvement over last year and if they can handle Air Force, CSU in the rivalry game and at least one other team, they can get into a bowl game for the first time since the Las Vegas Bowl a few years back (when they beat UCLA).

They'll only get better though either way, so I'm pleased with Dave Christensen's handling of the club this year so far.

He is awesome, but there is a ton of good DTs in FBS this year. I like to think he's in consideration for the top tier with some others. And, yeah, I'm not going to count on him being back until after January, but I do hope he sticks with that.

I like how Thigpen has looked so far. Have not liked the deep disconnects. If we could get both Prince and his target doing their jobs at the same time, we might hit a big shot here. But it's either going through receivers' hands or Prince is off on the throw.
