I sure as heck hope so. I wish the owners of teams with coaches that lose/almost lose games with this stupid crap would fine the coaches.

It's been a pretty clear rule at any level of football I have seen that you don't get charged with an injury timeout if the player doesn't stay on the ground. If he's hurt enough to not get off the field, he should hit the deck.

And Folk clearly heard the whistle and aborted the kick. Doesn't make the "ice the kicker" timeout any better of a tactic, but this isn't the situation we've all been waiting for.

I agree with all of this except the "icing the kicker" concept.

I think there is some validity to icing the kicker but I hate when they call the TO right as they snap it. Thats crap IMO

All I know is I am up about 13 points in fantasy...and the last player remaining on either roster is MBIII. I don't need him getting another 70 yd TD right now!

McBriar took way too long to kick that. Can't do that backed up against your own goal line.

Similar situation as the Michigan-Appalachian State game. Blocker takes the outside man instead of the inside man. This is basic stuff. No reason an NFL team should be losing a game because of it.

Just saw Dan Orlovsky's safety where he didn't know where he was in the endzone. He wasn't even close to staying out of the back end, funny play. Sadly for lion's fans, symbolic of the franchise right now.

I saw that too then had to explain to my mother how yes, that was a stupid play, and no, I am not at all surprised.

it figures a game as wacky as the Cards/Dallas was would end on a blocked punt in the endzone for a TD. Luckily this time it went for the Cards instead of against them. They never should have been in OT to begin with-I mean they blocked the freaking FG if the coach doesn't call timeout!

As ugly a game as it was for my beloved Cards, its a pretty big one for them too, beating the "best" team in the NFC. Gives them a 2 game lead in the division too

I wish my 11 yr old son was the same way. Got to teach that kid some manners.

Seriously, I don't think I have ever known a kid that is so obsessed with football. He watched 10 hours (off and on) of college football, then all day today including his beloved pregame (and postgame) shows. He can tell you the scores of all Top 25 game yesterday. It is only a bonus for him if the Trojans win. And today was interesting, only 6-6 on his picks, esp. seeing my wife celebrating and my son collapsed on the floor stunned at the ending of the Zona game.

I realize you put it in quotes, but the Giants are by far the best team in the NFC.

I have to say that was one of the funniest things I have seen. It's not like he just stepped out or somethng, he was well over the line and kept rolling out withou even noticing. Even the defender looked like he had to do a double take like "do I still tackle his ass or what?".

eh...yeah...i'm officially done thinking that this Pats team can potentially even possibly defend the title - the secondary is a POS. Deltha O'Neil blows. Unless something drastic changes, they're not defending.

Haha, that is great. My daughter isn't a football nut but she will watch some with me on Sunday and root for or against the teams she wants. If it is two teams she isn't sure about she always asks which team "we" want to win.

defend the title??

I guess you are talking about AFC champions. But you should really put that, because when you say "title" that suggests they won something meaningfull.

This has been a crazy fuckin week.

Baltimore's D gets steamrollled
The Falcons snatch victory from the jaws of defeat from the jaws of Victory

It's like a falcon turducken.

I loved the ninja timeout backfiring. But I always like to see the cowboys lose.

I wonder if the Bears will claim they got jobbed by the timekeeper at the end? There looked like a bit of a delay to it starting, but I didn't watch it that closely.

I'm going to break 100 points and lose in Fantasy this week....Fuckin steve Breaston and Thomas Jones killed me this week.

That guy is absolute garbage. I'm amazed NFL GM's/coaches that actually make a living breaking down game film are still willing to give him a job. Bring back Troy Brown before signing that piece of trash.

So I'd like to point out to the analysts who claimed that the Pats, unlike the Cardinals, would better adjust to staying on the coast an extra week thanks to their coach and veteran team that they were wrong.

Well, I felt like New England's defense needed to return to the 15ppg form of old for them to have a shot this season. So much for this season. They'll still get some wins over the weak teams, as they aren't a bad team, but I don't see them making noise in the playoffs this year.

Anybody know where Laurence Maroney went? I haven't seen him all season. Not sure who that is wearing his jersey on the field...

I think he missed the game, so whoever you were looking at was probably Kevin Faulk or Sammy Morris.

His game left when Brady was injured. Teams are not as afraid of the pass now and can gear up their defenses differently. Last year, there were just way too many options for defenses to guard against them all well.
