Actually, by the rule any motion bythe defensive player that makes the O-lineman react instinctively is a penalty on the defense. Now you could argue the whole "instinctve" part on that call, but essentially seymour moved in a way that drew the o-lineman of, so the call was good. |

So if you face the guy, jump in the air and somehow knock the ball down without interfering otherwise touching the receiver, it's PI? Got it. (Might have missed contact earlier, but wow)

I thought so. Every place that I remember reading has always said that face guarding is legal in the NFL and that there is only a penalty if there is contact. |

But if you're a defensive back and the ball hits you in the back of the head it's not pass interference. It doesn't really make sense for that play to be pass interference. I guess it's the rule, but doesn't make a lot of sense. |

What's interesting is I'm a Dolphins fan and my fraternal big brother's a Bills fan...
...and we're both wanting the Colts to win this game. Oooh, nice drop!

His right foot was in and his left foot was closer to the field of play than that.

The reason his heels never hit the chalk is because when you're running and then jumping you don't do it flat footed. It's all about the toes.
