I don't think that call was ticky-tack, it was too obvious not to call, he fully extended his arm on the push and obviously changed the other players direction. I dislike most offensive pass interference calls, but the ref almost had to call that one.

I think the Steelers might go to the air on this series. Just a hunch.

Ok, that's better. No penalty on that play.

Very, very ticky tack. That's a call you reserve judgement on. If they call it both ways all game it was an OK call. But if they let Ward get his hands on a Seahawk later and don't call it, it was horrible. Seattle continues to dominate the football game, but not get enough points. As of this post, with 6 seconds left in the quarter, it's Seattle 80 yards, Pittsburgh 17. |

I like that they are letting Ben take some shots downfield. Now, his receivers just need to get some seperation.

And to think all I heard on the radio this week was that Pittsburgh would dominate special teams.
Doh, penalty. Of course.

Yeah, three huge penalties on Seattle so far. They will just kick themselves repeatedly after the game if they don't end up winning this. They are in complete control of this game. So far in the Joey Porter vs. Jeremy Stevens contest, it's all zeros. Still, Stevens gets the edge so far simply because of Joey's negative plays. I've seen Seattle complete three passes, two on third down right at Porter in zone coverage. As I type that, Stevens drops a pass. I'll call it dead even now. |

One and a half steps is not considered a "football move"?

If Pitt had fallen on that, I'd have challenged... looked like a fumble to me.

Looked like the Seahawk player made a football move, then fumbled.

That's one of those goofy things though. Once the play was blown dead, it's dead. The interesting thing there is if Seattle challenges the call. If it's ruled a catch, the ball dies right where the fumble occured and Seattle gets possession. |

They had better. Seattle will eventually stop putting bullets in their own feet and score some points eventually. I liked the reverse call there. Very nice way to take away a little aggressiveness. |
