What is the problem with Ainge, anyway? Why can't he win the job? I thought he looked real good last year.

He did, but was outplayed this summer in camp by Clausen. Ainge had a great opening drive against UAB, but struggled afterward. Against Florida, Ainge came off the bench, had one nice drive, but struggled otherwise. He nearly singlehandedly lost the LSU game.

The answer is obvious to me now: Brittain Colquitt at QB ... at least he knows how to get the team down to the goalline.

No kidding. Ainge hasn't thrown a completion on a deep ball, but at least he's throwing 'em. Clausen never does that.
BTW, I'm with Team Clausen, I think he makes better decisions.

Well, let's see ... you can't spell Music City Bowl or Houston Bowl with UT either.

Take your time, they don't seem to be capable of moving much of anything, they aren't likely to have gotten more than 50 yards from the stadium by Tuesday or Wednesday, making them easy to find.

Hopefully a bowl will come calling... It really hurts next season to lose that month of practice that you gain when you make a bowl. Tennesse is 3-4 right now with Notre Dame, Memphis, Vanderbilt and Kentucky left. Right now the Notre game game doesn't looks like a win (but you never know). That would be 3-5 with 3 MUST WIN games just to make a bowl. Tennessee always get sthe best games out of all three of those remaining teams and I am sure they smell blood in the water and believe they can win. If just one pulls the upset there will be no bowl. I am not sure our 1 TD a game offense can win all three of those games. |

Offensive coordinator Randy Sanders is expected to step down as offensive coordinator today, but will remain with the team (at least till the end of the season) as the quarterbacks coach. Not the whole problem, but it's a start.
However, if we continue to run the same dunkin' donuts offense, it's Fulmer's fault.

Just got in from class. I haven't seen much of the game today, but I'm not surprised by the score right now. Hopefully, we put a drive together here before the half and get a score.

It looked like Notre Dame had someone blocking our zone defender out of the play, springing that big play. Those are the breaks, I guess.
I'm just happy we've put up points today.

Jim Bob rules. I had small hope he'd play right now in a mop up role.

It looks that way. I'm crossing my fingers now for the worst possible scenario. Two losses in the next three games. Heads need to roll.

As bad as this season has been. I am still not going to hope Tennessee gets beat in any games. Right now they need to win the next three and make a bowl. If you miss that bowl game you don't get almost a month of practice that could really mean something for next season. |

We play Memphis shortly. I won't be able to watch it, and I don't exactly have the time given the circumstances to sit and watch for updates on ESPN.com.
Go Vols. Let's try to win one for a change.
