Wow, Carolina just delivered a huge hit on New Orleans, and they call a personal foul for hitting a defenseless receiver. WTF? If the guy jumps in the air, are you supposed to let him catch the ball and then hit him? They said it was illegal because he didn't hit the ground yet. The NFL really needs to stop its pussification.

This false start thing the Bears are doing does not seem like a sound strategy.

What is surprising me the most is that the Chiefs are doing all this with 3 All-Pros out (Roaf, Richardson, Surtain)

The unfortunate case of domestic abuse he committed during this rookie season is the only thing preventing me from making Larry Johnson my personal football god.

Steelers are going to end up with only 11 pass plays and over 40 runs...

Big Ben was 9/11 for over 200 yards and 2 TDs.

I'm on the bandwagon. As long as they get Surtain back. Derrick Johnson has ROY talent, though he has struggled today.

Um... I think you missed the whole part of the play where the Panther defender hit the guy in the air in the HELMET. It was a viscious hit and should be penalized.

In the first quarter, the Dolphins already managed to stop them for 4 downs on 3 to Goal. Denver went over on downs not being able to advance a single yard.

BTW.....60 yards Booker TD!!!
27 - 10 for Miami

Great case where fantasy football is a blessing and a curse. On the bright side, it keeps me interested in a 27-0 blowing out hoping to see my guys score some points. On the downside, it gets me all ticked off when the Jets can't figure out how to get Curtis Martin in the endzone and ruin my hometeam's shutout.

If thats the rule, running backs lower their head all the time into people and get hit in the helmet. The fact is he his him with his shoulder. Don't throw it over the middle if you don't want your player to get hit.

Not sure why Priest Holmes is still running the ball, but his fantasy owners have to be pleased.

The rule is, and has been for quite a while, that you can't hit a defenseless reciever (in the air) in the head.

Jay Fiedler enters the blowout.

Surtain's injury is listed as "head trauma" -- they said he was questionable to return, so hopefully that will mean this isn't a serious concussion.

All I've heard about Roaf is a hamstring. Willie's a tough guy, so I'm hoping that they just decided since things were going well they'd give him the rest of a hot afternoon off and give the backups some playing time. Jordan Black could use the experience.

Richardson's injury concerns me. He's a key part of the blocking scheme, although they moved the ball pretty well without him. It appeared to be a knee problem, but he did walk off the field on his own.

I've been drinking beer since about 1230 this afternoon and have a nice little buzz going on right now. I have a bottle of tequila that has about three or four shots left in it. I have decided that I'm going to take a shot every time the Cowboys score a TD against the Chargers, so by 6pm Central I hope to have an empty bottle of tequila on my hands...

Same here, watching the Saints game losing my mind and drinking. They better not blow this.

So that bottle of tequila will have 3-4 shots left in it by 7pm EST.

Go Dolphins!

Dola,

And wrapped up with a Jason Taylor fumble recovery TD: sack, forced fumble, fumble recovery, TD - and even better he's on my fantasy team where all these count!

Man, I am so happy right now!

BTW - I hate prevent defenses. The Vikings drove from their own 10 yard line like the Bucs Defense was butter. Thank God for interceptions.

Turned out to be an average win, but I'll take it. Especially on the road. This gives the Buccaneers some hope for the season.
