Given how effective the running game has been and how poor the Packers run defense has been this totally smacks of "we got too smart for our own good" style gameplanning, ya know?

Like "oh they're going to expect us to run, so let's not even try" instead of "let's try it and make them stop us."

Stupid.

Plus it has the added benefit of keepings Rodgers off the field...

Was he not in the tackle box there?

Or is he "out" because he moved out to the left momentarily and then back in?

Damn if this doesn't feel like another Pats squeeze out the victory games. I'm going to Belichick and Brady's HOF induction just to thank them for retiring.

You have more confidence than I do in them pulling it out here. This is a coin-flip game if I've ever seen one.

Run the ball = 14yds.

Here's an idea McDaniels - how about we run it in from here. Chew the damn clock.

And wide.

Can't have that sequence of the last 3 plays at this point in the game.

I was basing it off general history. Happy I was wrong, but they are still the class of the AFC. The Colts team I watched today ain't beating them.
Edit: Wrong that time. it's not over yet.

Thankfully, no matter what happens, we won't be playing at Lambeau again this year.

All that's left for me is to watch the Jets beat the Dolphins tomorrow night and put a stake through the heart of my playoff hopes.

No kidding. Still holding with my pre-season SB pick: NE-GB.

Good game, can't complain at the result. That long TD at the half was the difference.

Very disappointed with my beloved Cardinals. Peterson certainly didn't earn his "biggest contract for a CB" for sure today. He asked for the assignment to cover Jones-I think it was more Jones asking for Peterson.

If Larry Fitzgerald does not re-spark the offense when he comes back (hopefully next week against KC), then sadly I think they lose all their remaining games and probably miss the playoffs, which would be very pathetic given how they started the season.

Is this RG3 to the Eagles conversation a thing?

I don't know? Nothing could be done until the off-season at this point. Would remind me of the Vince Young acquisition all over.

I would have like to see Vince Young under the tutelage of Chip Kelly as opposed to Andy Reid.

Kelly could have brought him in, if he really thought there was something there that could be salvaged.

I'm pretty sure Rob Ryan tried the 12 man defense on purpose during the Steelers game. It only cost them a half yard anyways.

My neighbor, who is a huge Chiefs fan, has his TV on the front porch. Wasn't there yesterday. There is a huge hole in the middle of the TV. I'm thinking did he really throw a beer bottle or similar object at the screen? Weird thing is his wife asked my wife earlier in the day if we could hear him yelling at the games. What an asswhite.

I've come close multiple times to doing something similar watching the Dolphins over the years.

Me: This is why we're losing. I forgot to put on my Dolphins hat.

Ben (my seven-year old): They'll probably lose anyway.

So there was better offensive production in a game from 1969 compared to tonight? I kinda figured that

I don't know? If the Jets had a QB, they'd probably be nearing 30 points by now.

At least Tannehill is completing 72% of his passes. That is a good thing right? Right?

I'm still not sold on Tannehill. I know we have problems along the line, but he stares down an awful lot of receivers.

Jets are desperate to give the game to the Dolphins. Question is: do they want it?

With the NFL's supposed emphasis on safety, how are those blocks still legal?

Glad Miami won, but they sure didn't deserve to win. They'll have to play much better the rest of the way if they want a Wild-Card.

The Mike Tomlin era has been great for losing key games to teams with losing records. Ike Taylor did his best Walking Dead impression this Sunday. I sorta would be fine if we would just lose out and clean house of all of these jokers, but I don't see that happening. Continuity is fine, but not when it's mediocre.

And what's the point of wasting a 2 point play when there is no time on the clock and you're down 5?

I thought that, too. Isn't any chance of injury over 0% too much for a pointless play? Why have your starters out there at all?

Well the most simple explanation is that your coach is a dumbass but Tomlin seems to get an enormous amount of leeway and benefit of the doubt.

Yes. You have to get to the 6th or 7th tie breaker so it's pretty unlikely, but with as close as the AFC North is you may as well try to score as much as you can just on case.
