So far this weekend, my college alma mater (King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA) beat their rival and Villanova beat Georgetown in basketball.
A Cowboys loss would pretty much complete my sports weekend. Last edited by RedKingGold : 01-17-2010 at 02:22 PM. |

I'll say it again, another Romo meltdown in the playoffs.
Crunch the stats all you want, Romo will break all the Cowboy fans hearts in the playoffs. |

Blame Romo all you want, but the whole team is playing like crap. Where's the criticism for the rest of them? Why do the other 45 guys escape criticism?

As a huge Cowboys fan, this game is definitely a disappointment but I've got to give props to Minn. They had a great defensive game plan and have made enough big plays on offense to put it away. I'm very happy with the steps the Cowboys took this year and hope for better days in the future. Good game by the Vikings.

I haven't watched any of this weekend's games in their entirety... but judging by the scores, the playoffs so far this year have sucked, is that fair to say? I don't have a team in the playoffs I care about (no Steelers), so for an outsider they've been pretty boring.

The Vikings are dicks. Play Action pass for TD on 4th down?

Dick move by Farve and the Vikings.
I get it, they are paid to stop the offense, etc... Just a classless move. |

Again, these are athletes paid millions of dollars to play 60 minutes. Just because Dallas decided to play 15 doesn't exempt them from getting fucked good and hard. Sure, the karma train might hit the Vikes but guess what? Dallas shouldn't have rolled over and it wouldn't be an issue.

Mark my words, the Football Gods will make sure the Saints win next week simply because of that play.

Agreed. Buck's comment about "don't like it, stop it" is stupid. Since when was that feeling a substitution for sportsmanship? |

Are we really going to talk sportsmanship?
Watch the whole first quarter again... The Cowboys were jawing the whooooole time. The Vikings just SHUT THEM THE FUCK UP for the rest of the game. The last touchdown was just a big fat FUCK YOU. Karma, schmarma. |

How about "if you don't like it, try to stop it"? Dallas didn't even try.

Funny to see the Vikings singing "Pants on the Ground" in the locker room after the game.

My preference is no fingers on my balls. Or at least no fingers by anyone eligible to play in the NFL.

Is there any place to watch the game live on TV? Just curios, when NBC has a Sunday night game, you can watch it on the web. Never tried with another affiliate.

There will always be exceptions, but for the most part, unless one is a Vikes fan or would enjoy relentless 24/7 sycophantic Favre coverage for two solid weeks leading up to the SB, they're probably rooting for the Saints. I think a lot of people are counting on the Saints to make the media coverage leading up to the SB slightly less nauseating. As a Saints fan though, I have to say, I'd have preferred the Cowboys over Minny. The Saints are a reflection of their head coach and are an incredibly cocky team. The Saints NEED people telling them they can't do something in order to play well. Before all their superlative performances this year (Giants, NE, Arizona), they had significant pockets of the media openly doubting their ability. With the Cowboys, they'd have the built-in motivator of already having lost to Dallas. With Minnesota, I don't think there's going to be any good motivation angles for them, and the Saints haven't shown that they're mature enough to play well when the media is impressed with them. As such I think the Saints lay an egg next week and lose, but I do hope I'm wrong. |

I haven't seen the Jets play much this season, but for a team that plays to win via defense and field position they have a sub-par punter.
