My fiancee is the same exact way, she though it was stupid when I had her watch the first season. Now she can't wait for upcoming episodes. When we have a choice of shows to watch because they are recording on the DVR it's always The Office first!

The Office is my favorite show - just above Lost. I enjoyed the British version when I caught it on DVD a few years ago, but I prefer this version. The casting is as good as any show I've seen since Seinfeld.

I just hope stardom doesn't go to Steve Caroll's head and he sticks with this show. It looks like this season is going to be ending early so that he can film a movie this summer. Please tell me this isn't a sign of things to come.

I loved the Office tonight!!! And i'm quickly being converted into an Earl fan as well! I wasn't sure at first how the two would mix but I've been happy with the combo so far!

I missed both. Again.

I have no idea how I ever watched television without a DVR. I need to get one again. Soon...

Even better than that was his "production company" card at the end... a picture of Steve Martin and Robin Williams, then it said "Great Scott" at the bottom... and then Michael says over top of it in a Scottish accent "Great Scott!"... terrifically random humor.

If there is anything to complain about "My Name is Earl", is that they need more Catalina.

speaking of Catalina, just read that quote from the show and found it hilarious:

Quote:
Catalina: [in Spanish, appearing as if she were telling Joy off] I want to take this moment to thank our Latino audience for watching. And for those of you who can understand me but who are not Latino, I want to commend you for learning a second language.
I don't remember seeing that one and it may have been mentionned in the thread already but I find it very, very funny

FM

edit: this quote comes the imdb.com page of the show...

He's funnier than Earl, IMHO.

The thing that Earl and The Office have in common is that the humor is somewhat subtle. You can miss it easily; which is a good thing because re-runs are still great.

Finally got around to watching the latest episodes, both were pretty solid.

"I like drinking and I love riding tricycles."

"My animal deserves a lot of loving."

Also, it looks like Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant will be writing an episode for the third season of The Office. http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve...933|1|,00.html

The office was great last night. One of the best shows currently on TV IMO.

Michael signing up for the online dating had me laughing to the point of tears.

I agree, it was a great episode. Though a bit more focused on character development.

Yeah - it was a sentimental episode, just showing us that Michael has a heart. The little girl was adorable. I like Earl, but The Office is far better IMO.

Earl was definitely funnier than the Office last night. Interestingly, both episodes were the crap heartwarming episodes. Earl's turned out a lot better and had far more funny moments. The images of Joy laying on the bed with the headboard bouncing and then going "down" on Randy was awesome.

I liked both shows last night, but I liked last week's office better where they had diversity day and they all had different cards that said different ethnicities on them and they put them on their heads. That was hilarious. "Notice I didn't have anyone be an arab. I thought that would be too explosive, no pun intended." That quote by Michael had me rolling. Then when Kevin said "You wanna get high? I think you do mon." Last week's episode was much better.

Earl was great. Catalina crossing the border, Joy doing everything a pregnant woman is not supposed to do, just bringing back the Y2k hysteria was awesome.

For fans of The Office, there's this great YouTube video that plays like a network promo for the show, but presents as a Drama. I thought it was pretty funny.

The PSAs were awesome. I loved Dwight's about black bears and brown bears. The one about office relationships with Ryan and Kelly was also great.

That was hilarious, especially the shot of Ryan afterwards.

BTW Jenna Fischer was on Leno tonight, she is way hotter outside of the show. I suppose they do that on purpose... because a woman that hot wouldn't stay in Scranton??

Yeah Jenna talks about how they won't let her put her hair down and they purposely dress her down in frumpy outfits. I don't think it's necessarily the Scranton thing, but more so how they view the character. She's obviously not very confident in herself, and that's why she's stayed with Roy all these years.

There was an article in USA Today about tv show people that have blogs.

The girl from Office and a number of the cast have My Space accounts and post frequently.

"Oh no, you did not just go old school on me"

Just when you thought they couldn't go more redneck they have Juliette Lewis and Patrick Swayze's brother.

Shame there is only one episode left this season.
