a top 20, and then a top 10 finish. Could the #8 car be moving up in the world, or is it all a mirage?

I got some bad news guys. I somehow lost everything I had on my computer, that included all the FOFC Racing stuff. But luckily I had recently saved all the stuff onto a CD. I did this after about the 6th or 7th race so the season can still continue, but the the last 3 or 4 races will now have been voided. I'm not sure how this happened but at least I had a recent backup of everything.

As someone who just fried one of his two hard drives, I have all the sympathy in the world. You can only back up so often without going insane so you're always going to lose something.

Well, I gotta hope for some repeat performances. Those last 3 races put me in contention for the title. Must have been a really nice dream. Oh well.

Sterling Silvers may have only led 5 laps at Darlington, but only 1 lap really counts anyway. And he led the final lap, barely holding off Jeeber D Mack after a problem to Billy Bushinhimer's car with 3 laps remaining caused him to relinquish the lead. In third was Jobu Mack, followed by Travis Elkin and Maximus Meridus.

One the crazier finishes that we've had in the FOFC Nextel Cup Series happened today. Mustafa Henderson, after leading 94 laps, took the white flag with the lead. But, lapped cars got in his way heading into Turn 1 and he crashed. Sterling Silvers and others avoided the wreck and finished the final lap. Silvers led only the final lap during the race as he took the victory. Two races at Darlington, Silvers won only after Henderson's teammate, Billy Bushinhimer, had a problem with his car with 3 laps to go.

WOOO! It won't last (this is flashes from that season 2 or 3 ago where I had a great start and crashed down to earth, finishing something like 10th) but it's fun now.
Unfortunately, LJ is having a rough go of it SI

Ouch... a 3rd place finish followed by a dead last due to an accident.

Good race by Jeeber puts him in third place overall. I wonder if I'll be able to get that second consecutive championship?

It was a perfect day for David Yellope. He started the day in 5th, but by lap 10 he found himself leading the race already. He never looked back from there as he led 304 of the next 315 laps, only giving up the lead during green flag pit stops. After a late caution, Billy Bushinhimer gave Yellope his biggest challenge of the day but he held him off and Bushinhimer fell back a bit at the end.
The first caution flag didn't fall until Lap 216. That allowed Yellope to lap all but the Top Ten at that point. David Gonzalez was one of the drivers who went a lap down early. But he fought all day to get the lap back and eventually did. He ended up finishing 5th, up from his 39th place starting spot. Telle Snow's disapointing season continued, as once again a great qualifying run was ruined. Amazingly though, this was his first DNF of the season. PHP Code:
