The only problem I have with the FBI woman (the blonde you mean?) is that I know the actress from a show my fiance used to like to watch, "Joan of Arcadia", where she played a totally different character... (The actor that plays Michael Scoefield in Prison Break is from the show to fwiw)..

That's not really a spoiler, it's a speculation.

what is the point of watching a show if you're gonna look up spoilers? if this were a movie and you were paying $10 a ticket to see the movie would you want to find out how it ends before you see the movie?
speculation and opinions are ok, that's part of the fun with these kinds of shows, but why would anyone want to ruin any surprise (for themselves more than for other people) by finding out what's going to happen in future episodes. where's the joy in that? or, if you're going to do that then why watch the show, why not just follow the spoilers for all shows and save yourself the time? Thankfully I hit first reply and didn't see whatever the spoiler was.
but man, that was a majorly dickish thing to do jbmagic. Can a mod either delete or edit that post for him and whatever he quoted as a spoiler?

He labeled it as spoiler. But then he posted "i think..." That is not a spoiler to me, so I kept on reading. But then later he says it is a confirmed spoiler. Not sure what to think, but stating "I think" is certainly speculation, not spoiler. But then later he says that it was confirmed.. *shrug*.. idano..

whatever. he only revealed what the guy's power was. i had begun to agree with the "Rogue" power theory anyway since he was able to see the future (walking in the air on the roof with his brother) after seeing the artist with all those visions. plus his brother said he caught him and then he started to fly, too. but still, i woulda liked to have confirmed that by watching the show. i don't want many shows at all so when i find one i do like i don't want people fucking it up w/ spoilers (which are retarded anyway, see my previous post).

Exactly. I kept reading because I didn't think he understood what a spoiler was. That was messed up. I expect to read spoilers of what happened this past week in these threads, so I avoid them until I'm caught up with the DVR. I don't expect to read what is going to happen in 3 weeks according to TVguide. |

*DING DING*... I do this with all of the TV threads. I ignore them until I catch up on my TiVO. I think people coming into this thread two days after it airs and whining about hearing what happened on the episode is dumb, but saying confirmed things that will happen is another. As for what jb did.. it's a grey area.. because he said spoiler.. but honestly, I immediately saw "I think" and chalked it up, as you did, to him not understaning what a spoiler was...

Like HA mentioned, speculating about the show is part of the allure and spoilers suck. I thought his first post was just speculation and then he said it was confirmed in the TV Guide. Whatever...
Someone earlier mentioned about his dreams of flying before he actually flew. I wonder if that was a power he picked up from someone (maybe the artist's girlfriend) or if that one is innate...or if it was simply just a dream.

Just as a heads up, for those who have seen the spoiler, could you try avoiding mentioning it until episode 5 airs?
I know that's common sense, but it'd be easy to slip I'm sure and I like this thread and would rather not have to avoid it until episode 5

i think when Hiro's friend shouted "Super Hiro", it was a play on words meant to also connotate "Super Hero". |

Another problem with jbmagic's spoiler is he gave away the fucking EPISODE this thing was going to be revealed... dick. It was a shitty thing to do to say "spoiler" then "I think" making people believe that you didn't know what a spoiler was and then saying it was confirmed in TV Guide, but then to reveal the episode, without saying 'spoiler' in that post?! Bah!

I'm trying to imagine what would have happened if jbmagic still had his edit button. I think it'd go something like this:
1. jbmagic makes the mistake. 2. People get mad at jbmagic. 3. jbmagic deletes his mistake. 4. jbmagic posts a reply saying "why you all mad at me". 5. jbmagic posts new thread asking why everyone hates him. 6. SkyDog takes away edit button and new thread button. I think there would have been some comedy in this.

question, if I invisotext something as a spoiler, does that piss of people too? I've put Spoiler Alert then Inviso text it, so unless you go right to my spoiler alert word, and then highlight everything I typed, you can't see it.
Which in my mind, if I have told you that its a spoiler, and made it invisible (unless you directly highlight it), its ok.

Why would a sane person preface a spoiler with "I think" unless he's
a. insane b. an asshole c. trying to show off pick one

See post #64 in this thread. I think that is enough effort to not show those who don't want to read a spoiler, and if you do, then you have to highlight it to read.

I agree. That way people who want spoilers can still see them, but the people who don't want to won't accidentally read it.
