Between 35 and 60 passes, though, and it's an average of 10.2 per game. He's completing just a shade under 75% of his passes for the season.

I can't stand Tech, but Harrell and Tech's offense are a match made in heaven...

Can't believe I forgot to mention that clock kill. Let's just say that when the visitors do that, and the crowd starts cheering wildly, it probably wasn't the best idea.

Looks like he was on his way out of bounds when he got hit. I didn't think it was late.

Is this the same Flutie and Craig James that called the refs idiots last week for the way they (correctly) enforced the penalty against Wake which gave FSU a first down. If you arent sure which one i am talking about, it is the call that too 15 mins to decide on who touched the ball first. Fowler, James, and Flutie referred to it many times last night.

I for one cant stand those two. I cringe when i say this but I like Mark May and Lou Holtz better in the booth.

Unfortunately I wasn't watching that game so I'm not sure what you're talking about...but my point wasn't to say "Well, Flutie said it was the right call, so it must've been..." rather more to stress that it was for taunting the crowd and not celebrating excessively.

I got your point . I just wanted to bitch about James and Flutie and I forgot to do it last week.

I wouldn't call Ohio State's easy either, at Michigan and at Penn State while home against Illinois and Wisconsin.

So...who thought it would be a good idea to have Northwestern-Eastern Michigan on a Friday night at Ford Field so it could be shown on ESPNU?

Id disagree, so to each his own...the big 10 has been embarrassed out of conference this year, so i have a hard time giving it respect regardless of what records teams run up in conference.

I agree with you on Arizona State, but I wouldnt call Florida State, Clemson, Miami and Maryland harder than the 4 teams tOSU has left. I know I am leaving out VT, but even they haven't proved anything besides getting spanked by LSU.

I could, but I'd be lying through my ass. They did some great non-conference scheduling last year to run teams like Rutgers and WVU much higher in the polls than they deserved to be, and that has carried over to this year's inflated rankings. But I don't really think they have any top-tier teams, and it's hard for me to be impressed when they are just taking turns beating each other in games where neither team looks particularly good.

We're all wrong plenty of times.

But I'm wondering if you watched the game and what your thoughts are afterwards -- did your opinion on them change at all?

I only caught bits and pieces. I think where I was mistaken was that I had thought of Ray Rice as merely "good" to "very good" rather than "outstanding." In BBCF terms, I thought of him as a 3.0 or 3.5, when he's actually probably a 4.5 (on a 1-5 scale).

He looked really, really good: Far better than I had ever seen.

I did think this was the most LIKELY loss for South Florida, and I would still say they're unlikely to lose again. The same might be true of Rutgers, and the Big East could have 3 1 loss teams again.

I'd agree that the Big Ten has definitely been embarrassed this season. All of Ohio States remaining opponents are 5-2. Michigan was definitely embarrassed out of conference. Michigan State lost at wisconsin, but yes they did get beat by Northwestern. Penn State has lost at Michigan and at Illinois. Wisconsin has been beaten at Penn State and at Illinois. Illinois got beat by Missouri and Iowa. Iowa did surprise me. Then we have Michigan, who's offense has definitely picked it up. Outside of Michigan, the remaining 8 losses combined by the other four teams only one of them was out of conference.

But yes, I do agree the Big Ten is weaker this year but I would not go far to say Ohio State has an easy remaining schedule. They do play Penn State at night in Happy Valley. They also go to Ann Arbor. Easy? I don't know about that.

Mizzou-Tech is only 7-0 and the TD was scored defensively. There's something wrong there. This game should be 21-14 or so by now (now, being halfway through the first quarter)

I figured that was wrong as the only place I had ever heard of referred to as a commonwealth was Virginia (never had heard of Kentucky being one) but I just rolled with it.

So what makes somewhere a commonwealth?
