Now, 2 hours a week, that would translate to over 14 weeks, probably more like six months (up to 26 weeks). We'll see as we go I guess...

Looking forward to this very much.

Aggh! I'm going to have to miss opening night if we are still doing it tonight. I have Tiger tickets and they moved the game from 1:05 to 8:05 for ESPN.

Tonight.

I'll fire it up prolly around 7ish CST, maybe earlier, to get people connected and work out any kinks in the startup. There will be some sort of chat set up as well.

Server is UP!

IP Addy/Password can be found in the first post. I'm not moving the days until tonight, obviously, but if you want to get in/make sure it works/set up the tedious stuff (training, etc), be my guest.

Announcement: Port Vale and Bradford City (CW and myself) is seeking two other human teams for the first annual FOFC Cup, a four team knockout tournament to be held at the team with the highest ground capacity. IF the tourney makes money an equal share will be sent out to the competing teams. '

An early chance for bragging rights on tap, too!

Oh.. this has to be two human teams whose coaches are available of course tonight

Go into network game, and in the bottom left(depending on your skin) you'll see a Join Other Server link. Put in the IP address, and then the password when asked.

After clicking network game, you need to click "join other server" at the bottom left of the network screen.

Make sure when creating your coach to set a password, FYI.

If you didn't and have already signed up, just resign and re-create. Dont think you can edit your PW after creation.

Still set for the official start at 8 Central time, though, right? My wife's going to be on up until around 7:30 Central, I just don't want to miss any action.

Download mirc (mirc.com), or you can connect using GAIM.

There's some little walkthrough buried somewhere in the Hattrick forum, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Isn't there in-game chat we could use? Or does that suck?

Also, for manager's name, should we go with our FOFC handle so we know who each manager is. I'd prefer that.

(19:42:02) mj4h: when you connect click on the "Not Connected" by your name in the list of managers
(19:42:12) mj4h: that lets you log in as yourself

Hey, will the two people who created duplicate managers log in as the dupes and retire them, please?

Make that just AdamVin.

I agree, it was fun. I'm not so much into the heavy trash talking but the interaction with other managers and seeing other people you know bid on the same players you bid on was very interesting...

Re: FM Network Game - Server is OFF

dola, CW, I was wondering if there would be any way for you to open up the server midweek at a known day/time but locking the "continue" button so that if anybody would want to do scouting and/or run the tedious tasks like setting training, lineups and such, they could do it without having the game "go grey" (aka processing) on them.

Not even sure if this "locking the continue button" is possible or not, just throwing the idea out there.

Re: FM Network Game - Server is OFF

It isn't possible.

Well, actually I guess it would be, he could set it back to 100% and then as long as he does not hit continue it would be fine.

I thought everything went great after we figured out the speed issues, and I'm really looking forward to getting in my first match next week.
