2009-2010 defending champion Toronto Maple Leafs

Center
Eric Lindros- All-star season before his latest concussion
Zach Parise- solid 2-way player, not the offensive player I hoped he’d be
Jamie Lundmark- becoming a 4th liner a little too quickly
Alex Steen- smart, wont hurt playing him

Wings
Wade Belak- didn’t play a game in the playoffs
Greg Spicer- Rookie of the year
Michael Deadmarsh- more of a upside then Spicer
Jason Williams- He is capable of 35 goals…he is just to damn streaky
Darcy Tucker- not a offensive threat anymore, but still wears his heart on his sleeve
Nik Antropov- 2 straight years leading the team in scoring
Alexi Ponikarovsky- took a step back offensively
Todd Marchant- clicked wonderfully last year
Owen Nolan- probably his last season, a warrior

Defense
Bryan McCabe- getting better offensively
Carlo Colaiacovo- hope he proves he’s a franchise player
Chris Pronger- coming off his best year as a Leaf
John Doherty- 13 points in the playoffs
Mike Card- Serious concussion hopefully wont hurt his development
Scott Hannan- not the offensive player I thought, but better defensivley then I thought
Danny Markov- Insurance
Karel Pilar- Insurance

Goalies
Mikael Tellqvist- 2 straight Vezina’s
Sebastian Centomo- last year of contract, will demand starters money

The big moves from the offseason continue……

Dallas Stars claimed Fredrik Modin, who had been with San Jose Sharks, off waivers.
Detroit Red Wings claimed Bates Battaglia, who had been with New York Islanders, off waivers.
Vancouver Canucks signed UFA Jeff O'Neill to a 2 year deal
Calgary Flames signed UFA Martin St-Louis to a 2 year deal
Chicago Blackhawks signed UFA Jason Allison to a 4 year deal
Ottawa Senators signed UFA Shane Doan to a 2 year deal- what are you thinking Shane
Vancouver Canucks signed UFA Jaromir Jagr to a 1 year deal
Columbus Blue Jackets signed UFA Pavol Demitra to a 2 year deal
Los Angeles Kings signed UFA Marty Murray to a 3 year deal
New York Rangers signed UFA Antti Laaksonen to a 2 year deal
Vancouver Canucks signed UFA Keith Tkachuk to a 1 year deal
Philadelphia Flyers signed UFA Steve Sullivan to a 2 year deal
Phoenix Coyotes signed UFA Pavel Bure to a 1 year deal

10-10-2009 Andrei Rosovsky has been named the captain of the St. Johns Maple Leafs

Well, I complained last year about our pathetic offense, but we won the cup….this year so far, we are scoring….26 goals, in our 1st 5 games……all wins….and this is pretty much the exact same team that finished last year, minus Steve Rucchin….

22-10-2009 It brings a smile to my face when I see the dirtiest player in NHL history, Daniel Alfferdson siting on the FA list available to anyone that wants him…..and noone wants him……

As soon as I say Jason Williams is capable of more…he starts delivering….Im pretty good at this motivating stuff….he leads the team in scoring…from the 3rd line…..

11-11-2009 Things are not too good on the Rock…..St. Johns is currently 3-12-0-2….3rd last in the AHL….I see only 2 NHL caliber prospects there right now….next year, though, will be better…..

30-11-2009 Since there has not been much news, I think it’s a good time to look at the top 5 prospects in the Leaf organization….

# 1 Erick Corson RW 6’3/229lbs, Born: 10/11/91, Drafted 7th overall by Tor 2009, Canadian
Medicine Hat Tigers 27games, 26g, 11a, 37p

He is probably 4 years away from the NHL, but he should be pretty good when he gets there.

Best case scenario- consistent NHL all-star/ probable scenario- 30 goal first line winger

#2 Andrei Rosovsky C 6’3/226lbs, Born: 1/9/87, Drafted 21st overall by Tor 2005, Russian
St. Johns Maple Leafs 25game, 7g, 19a, 26p

Improved last year, and is playing even better this year….a legitimate prospect on St. Johns.

Best Case Scenario- 1st line center in the mold of Sergei Fedorov/ probable scenario- 2nd/3rd line center, who scores 20-25 a year

#3 Murray Dunn D 6’2/204lbs, Born: 18/7/91, Drafted 57th overall by Tor 2009, Canadian
Spokane Chiefs 27games, 4g, 10a, 14p

His skills have improved, and continue to improve since draft day

Best case scenario- 1st line physical dman who shuts down top scorers/ probable scenario- 4th/5th dman, in the mold of Brendan Witt

#4 Viljami Paatelainen RW 5’11/165lbs, Born: 8/8/88, Drafted 28th overall by Dal 2006, Finnish
St. Johns Maple Leafs 25games, 12g, 5a, 17p

He is NHL ready now, but there isn’t room. Only 21, the AHL is good for him right now.

Best case scenario- 3 or 4 time all-star/ probable scenario- 1st line winger who plays gritty, but is undersized in the mold of Steve Sullivan

#5 Mark Vyrubov D 6’6/231lbs, Born: 3/9/90, Drafted 147th overall by Tor 2009, Latvian
Lokomotiv Yaroslav 17games, 2g, 5a, 7p

Huge, imposing man, only 19, and physically developed. Big darkhorse, but we love him

Best case scenario- Norris trophy Defenseman/ probable scenario- borderline NHL defenseman, but I honestly think he will explode in his development

We are currently 17-8-0-0, for 34 points, 1st in the league…..

This is true. With a 37 year old Bates Battaglia in the line-up the future is indeed a bright one! There is no possible way to argue against that one.

Bates Bates Battaglia is only 34 this year, and he is scoring a litte, of course, he only has dressed in about half the games....Wings are 16-24 so far....

1-12-2009 Player of the month: Jason Williams (R)
NHL has awarded Jason Williams (R) of Toronto Maple Leafs as Player Of The Month He registered 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points in 14 games last month. He also had 4 game winning goals

Hopefully, his strong play will continue….

10-12-2009 Bryan Berard reaches a milestone !
Bryan Berard(CHI) scored the 500th point of his career in tonight's game against the St. Louis Blues on a goal by Matt Cooke. I've seen my idols break records and now I am doing the same, he read from a prepared statement..

This should have been as a Leaf…..

15-12-2009 Michael Deadmarsh frustrated
Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Michael Deadmarsh feels frustrated about his position in the organization. He feels he's good enough to be a core player for the team and wonders why the organization still considers him a regular player

Whats he complaining about, I love this guy…..but I don’t like needy hockey players….

Philadelphia Flyers traded defenseman Kim Johnsson and right wing Kelly Fata to Ottawa Senators for right wing Bastien Baillargeon

15-12-2009 New York Islanders sent down Gilbert Howe to Bridgeport Sound Tigers

In this world, he is now related to Gordie Howe….so there are now high expectations on him

31-12-2009 EricLindros is out for 2 weeks, and Nik Antropov is taking advantage….Nik took Lindros’ spot on the 1st line, and responded with a hat-trick to break out of a season long slump…increasing his goal total to 7…..we beat Washington 4-2….

2-1-2010 Toronto Maple Leafs players selected to World Junior Championships
World Junior Championships (U-20) in icehockey are about to start. The following players from Toronto Maple Leafs organization have been selected to represent their countries:
-Kjril Shanin (UKR)
-Mark Vyrubov (LAT)
-Pielgrzym Nwiciutie (POL)
-Kabok Nasenko (RUS)
-Gustav Prager (CZE)
-Douglas Hornsby (USA)

16-1-2010 Team Finland wins World Junior Championship
Team Finland has beaten Team USA in the final of the 2010 World Junior Championships.

In what is becoming an annual tradition…No Leafs were named to the NHL all-star game….so again, we will boycott the event, and not mention it again, tell this time next year….when no leafs willl be selected again, and we will boycott it again….it will keep going like this…..

Philadelphia Flyers traded right wing Andrew Ladd to Anaheim Mighty Ducks for right wing Corey Perry

We are currently 35-13-1-4, for 75 points, 5 points more then the surprising Columbus Blue Jackets for the league lead

Feb 1st- March 14th trade deadline….

1-2-2010 Owen Nolan reaches a milestone !
Owen Nolan scored the 500th goal of his career in tonight's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on a feed by Eric Lindros. I was happy it happened in this Arena where I've had so many special moments in the past, he said after the game.

Welcome to elite company….

1-2-2010 CAR-EDM trade
Carolina Hurricanes traded defenseman Brad Ference and defenseman Lars Larsson to Edmonton Oilers for right wing Jakub Sindel

7-2-2010 Jason Williams reaches career high !
Jason Williams marked a new career high in goals with 23 tallies after scoring in tonights game against Atlanta Thrashers on a feed by Mike Card. I'm just happy to be playing the game, he said at the post-game press conference.

Nice….this breakout year saved his job…this was his last chance….

14-2-2010 Danny Markov speaks up.
Danny Markov is disappointed in the team tactics after averaging 8 minutes in the last five games. He wants more icetime.

I was playing him, he got hurt, now he’s complaining again….listen Danny, you’re a 6th/7th dman for the champs, be happy your in the NHL, and not the AHL…..

22-2-2010 Zach Parise injured.
Zach Parise (TOR) suffered abdomen injury during the game in an incident with Matthew Spiller (VAN). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. Sometimes Mr. Murphy just keeps on coming back for more, this time it was me who had to take the honors, he said in a TV interview

We’re a team without a lot of depth, on the pro level, and minor league level…this will hurt….I suppose this is Aki Seitsonen’s 1 chance….

22-2-2010 With 2 goals against us…Jaromir Jagr 761, 2 more then Brett Hull to move into 4th on the all-time list…He trails Mario Lemieux by 6….

26-2-2010 Aki Seitsonen gets 1 goal, 1 assist in his Leaf debut…and I thought he was a bust….hehe…well, he still could be…..

2-3-2010 MIN-CBS trade
Minnesota Wild traded defenseman Michael Funk and right wing Warren Dong to Columbus Blue Jackets for left wing Nikolai Zherdev

They have finally given up of Zherdev, who was never as good as he could have been…..

Minnesota Wild traded Mikko Koivu to Washington Capitals for Washington Capitals 4th round pick in 2010 draft

Florida Panthers traded left wing Erik Cole to Colorado Avalanche for left wing Sergei Shemetov

10-3-2010 ANA-OTT trade
Anaheim Mighty Ducks traded center Cory Pecker and right wing Tim Brent to Ottawa Senators for left wing Milan Kraft

11-3-2010 MTL-VAN trade
Montreal Canadiens traded defenseman Jason Holland and goaltender Joni Puurula to Vancouver Canucks for left wing Rico Fata

11-3-2010 PHO-VAN trade
Phoenix Coyotes traded defenseman Doug Murray, center Troy Ferguson, center Alexander Tatarinov and defenseman Rob Nakahara to Vancouver Canucks for right wing Jeff O'Neill and MTL 4th round pick in 2010 draft

We are 45-18-1-6, for 97 points, 3 up on Chicago for the Presidents trophy….

Cory Pecker is real, saw him play in the mem cup...
Warren Dong is a computer player...
you sir...have a dirty mind....hehe

March 14th – end of regular season

Vancouver Canucks traded right wing Tyson Brashear and left wing Keith Tkachuk to Ottawa Senators for defenseman Robyn Regehr

********Toronto Maple Leafs trade ********
Toronto Maple Leafs traded Alexander Täng and TOR's round 2 pick in 2010 to Carolina Hurricanes for Josef Vasicek

We needed to add depth up front…and Vasicek is a player who has struggled, but can also shine…..I have no idea how he will play, and if he will play regularly…He has just 6 goals this year, but 2 season ago, he had 22….and we didn’t have to give up to much….

Tampa Bay Lightning traded defenseman Denis Gauthier and right wing Kirill Brize to Pittsburgh Penguins for left wing Stephen Weiss

TB-BUF trade
Tampa Bay Lightning traded defenseman Dmitri Kosmachev and goaltender Vesa Toskala to Buffalo Sabres for right wing Nikita Alexeev

14-3-2010 Todd Marchant injured.
Todd Marchant (TOR) suffered knee injury during the game in an incident with P.J. Stock (ANA). He is expected to be sidelined for more than a month. I just hope it's not gonna' effect my play when I come back. I have to be able to play my kind of game out there, was his answer to a reporter question after the game.

Picked up Vasicek just intime….

15-3-2010 Eric Lindros reaches a milestone !
Eric Lindros scored the 500th goal of his career in tonight's game against the Washington Capitals on a feed by Michael Deadmarsh. I kinda got lucky on that one, but it still counts, he replied after giving his stick to representatives of Hockey's Hall Of Fame.

4-4-2010 Vasicek has 1 goal and 1 assist, playing with Jason Williams and Greg Spicer….not to good…but think about this…with Carolina this year, he was -33, with us, he’s +6…..

You want goaltending, how bout Fleury vs. Loungo

#4 vs. #5
Go Boston

#1 vs. #8
The Black Hawks are back, and take the top spot away from Anaheim

Another battle of Alberta….Calgary is very close to the “Elite Team” status

#3 vs. #6
Nashville had a bad 2nd half…I don’t see them winning a game

#4 vs. #5

Sounds like gay porn.

Cory Pecker is a real guy. I think he's an Anahiem prospect. He was going to go to Edmonton as part of the Comrie deal that fell through. He's a pretty highly regarded prospect.

Agreed though, does sound a lot like gay porn.

We have no NHL All-stars…..guess they don’t even check the best team in the regular season for standout players….which would explain why 3 time vezina and Jennings winner Mikael Tellqvist wasn’t chosen again…..

2010 NHL draft from Montreal…..
1st Vancouver Canucks select Derian Wilding
2nd Detroit Red Wings select Hugues Rouleau
3rd LA Kings select Richard Hoswitschka

Eric Lindros and Owen Nolan are both retiring this year….which basically ends and era for the Toronto Maple Leafs….it seems without these 2 guys….the team will be very different….younger….quicker…..but defiantly lacking grit, and heart…….Both drafted 1st overall, 1 year apart by the same team…..and both were great hockey players….

20-6-2010 Mark Vyrubov a bust ?
Concerning reports from various sources over the internet suggest that defenseman Mark Vyrubov will never live up to expectations. Some scouts claim to be very disappointed at his work ethic this spring.

I hope not….he’s a no risk…high reward prospect….

Washington Capitals traded right wing Sobeslav Padrnos, defenseman Josef Boumedienne and defenseman David Bornhammar to Pittsburgh Penguins for left wing Niklas Hagman

26-6-2010 We had an option on Todd Marchant’s contract for 3.25 million that I decided would not be picked up….he is a solid player….but his play didn’t warrant that kind of money….plus, im thinking about going with a youth movement…..

27-6-2010 Greg Spicer agrees on a contract.
Greg Spicer has signed a $850,000 per year, 4 year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced.

This is a great deal who could be an all-star for the whole contract….

Some notable retirements- Sandis Ozolinsh, Jere Lehtinen, the Bure brothers, Daniel “The Prick” Alferdsson, Martin Brodeur, Alexi Kovalev….

Danny Markov will join Todd Marchant on the UFA list…he wanted 3 mil a year….

In a private ceremony, Bryan McCabe has been named the new captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs….

31-8-2010 Adam Deadmarsh agrees on a contract.
Adam Deadmarsh has signed a $3,000,000 per year, 2 year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced.

With Nolan and Lindros gone, we needed some more grit….so Deadmarsh was an obvious addition…..this guy plays with heart, grit, and can score…..

Ive decided to make take a big chance and move Carlo Colaiacovo to forward….I want him to score, and he has the ability too….so we will see how this works…..

New Jersey Devils signed UFA Dan Cloutier to a 3 year deal
New York Rangers signed UFA Ruslan Salei to a 2 year deal
New York Rangers signed UFA Danny Markov to a 2 year deal
Detroit Red Wings signed UFA Hal Gill to a 2 year deal
New Jersey Devils signed UFA Wade Redden to a 2 year deal
New York Rangers signed UFA Shean Donovan to a 2 year deal
Dallas Stars signed UFA Sergei Samsonov to a 2 year deal
New York Rangers signed UFA Rhett Warrener to a 3 year deal
Chicago Blackhawks signed UFA Paul Kariya to a 2 year deal
Los Angeles Kings signed UFA Marc Savard to a 2 year deal

We claimed Tyler Moss in the waiver draft….he can be a good minor league goalie….

9-10-2010 DET-TB trade
Detroit Red Wings traded defenseman Martin Vagner and right wing Boyd Ciccarelli to Tampa Bay Lightning for center Brad Richards

18-10-2010 With the addition of Jose Theodore, the Islanders, amazingly, put Rick Dipietro on waivers…..DUH, what the hell is wrong with them….Interestingly enough, Montreal claimed him….so it ends up Dipietro for Theodore….

21-10-2010 Michael Deadmarsh injured.
Michael Deadmarsh (TOR) suffered groin injury during the game in an incident with Rostislav Olesz (MIN). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. Yeah it hurts, hurts me to watch the game from the press box for a month or so, he said after the game.

BASTARDS……

Phoenix Coyotes claimed Rob Niedermayer, who had been with Montreal Canadiens, off waivers.

15-11-2010 We have gone back to our cant score ways….the power play is at 10%....we have a lot of depth….but noone taking the offensive lead….I may need to shake things up…..

18-11-2010 Well, I changed the lines around, and we get 10 goals in 2 games….sure its only 2 games, but is was nice to score…..Hopefully, they will keep this up….

23-11-2010 Player of the week: Carlo Colaiacovo (L)
NHL has awarded Carlo Colaiacovo (L) of Toronto Maple Leafs as Player Of The Week He registered 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points in 4 games last week. He also had 2 game winning goals.

The experiment is working….Carlo leads the team in scoring….

We are 17-6-1, with 38 points, tied for first in the league with Pittsburgh…
Oh and you Dallas Stars fans would like the fact that Dallas is back…they are 14-8….

20-12-2010 Carlo Colaiacovo reaches career high !
Carlo Colaiacovo marked a new career high in goals with 10 tallies after scoring in tonights game against Nashville Predators on a feed by Andrei Rosovsky. We have a good team this year, I'm just happy I can help out, the happy player commented.

I was hoping he would score 30, while it is still possible, it’s unlikely….

30-12-2010 Darcy Tucker reaches a milestone !
Darcy Tucker scored the 500th point of his career in tonight's game against the Florida Panthers on a goal by Josef Vasicek. The puck has been bouncing for me lately, he commented and was all smiles..

About a point every other game….solid enough

1-1-2011 Happy new year….Michael Deadmarsh is almost ready to return…..

2-1-2011 Toronto Maple Leafs players selected to World Junior Championships
World Junior Championships (U-20) in icehockey are about to start. The following players from Toronto Maple Leafs organization have been selected to represent their countries:

-Matt Sampson (USA)
-Nino Stangassinger (SUI)
-Radoslav Hooter (CZE)
-Pielgrzym Nwiciutie (POL)
-Erick Corson (CAN)
-Krystof Subert (CZE)

6-1-2011 Michael Deadmarsh plays his 1st game back from injury, scoring a goal in a 7-1 win over Carolina…..

12-1-2011 St. Johns has struggled all year….I just sent Paatelainen down, rearranged the lines to fit him in, and everything has gone haywire……They won there last game 7-0, and today, beat the Manchester Monarchs 9-0…..There are some ok prospects down there, but wow…..16-0….impressive….

20-1-2011 Josef Vasicek injured.
Josef Vasicek (TOR) suffered head injury during the game in an incident with Joni Pitkänen (BUF). He is expected to be sidelined for almost a month. Our trainer has assured me this is not serious, but I won't be on my skates for a few weeks anyway, he murmured as he grimaced in pain.

Boo Hoo

25-1-2011 Adam Deadmarsh injured.
Adam Deadmarsh (TOR) suffered groin injury during the game in an incident with Henry Pedersen (ATL). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. Sometimes Mr. Murphy just keeps on coming back for more, this time it was me who had to take the honors, he said to the press.

That’s what I get for making fun of Vasicek….

No Leafs were selected to the you know what….so im not even gonna mentioned what the you know what is…..

We are currently 34-13-2-4, 74 points, 4 up on Pittsburgh

Feb 1, 2011- trade deadline

10-2-2011 John Mitchell scored his first NHL goal in a 7-0 thrashing of Detroit….Also, the line of Michael Deadmarsh, Nik Antropov, and Jason Williams has been dynamite since I put it together…..Little Deadmarsh(his new nickname, Adam is big Deadmarsh) is clearly the best player on the team…..with 25 points, in 25 games….

10-2-2011 Jamie Lundmark reaches career high !
Jamie Lundmark marked a new career high in points with 31 after scoring in tonights game against Detroit Red Wings on a feed by Alexei Ponikarovsky. I don't know why exactly, but the ice just seems to be more wide open for me this year, he commented during a post game radio interview.

Finally, some offense from him….

16-2-2011 That event that is held every year and excludes all Maple Leafs was held yesterday, and noone attended….protesting the lack of Leafs invited over the years…..

***LEAFS TRADE****
27-2-2011 Toronto Maple Leafs trade
Toronto Maple Leafs traded Josef Vasicek and Scott Hannan to Edmonton Oilers for Raffi Torres, Jeff Woywitka, and a 2nd round pick….

For some reason, this was a easy deal to make…the Oilers didn’t want much….probably because this deal cuts about 4 million from there payroll….still, Woywitka is a premier offensive defenseman, and Torres is a lot like Vasicek, capable of scoring, but isn’t…..Torres 72 point season 4 years ago…..

6-3-2011 Woywitka has made a immediate impact….with 5 assists in his 1st 4 games…..

7-3-2011 Jaromir Jagr reaches a milestone !
Jaromir Jagr(CAR) scored the 800th goal of his career in tonight's game against the New York Rangers on a feed by Jakub Sindel. I just feel so happy now, this comes at a good time for me, he said as his teammates crowded around him.

8-3-2011 Éric Dazé claimed off waivers.
Ottawa Senators claimed Éric Dazé, who had been with Montreal Canadiens, off waivers.

Habs have completely lost it….

11-3-2011 Toronto Maple Leafs trade rumoured
Toronto Maple Leafs are rumoured to be planning a trade sending defenseman Chris Pronger and center John Mitchell to Columbus Blue Jackets for right wing Jason Spezza

Could I put a current Sen on my Leafs, this would be a good trade, all though id have to trade a forward to get another defenseman…..hmmm

Stay tuned for the trade deadline and the end of the regular season…..

March 14th, 2011 - end of the regular season

13-3-2011 NYI-STL trade
New York Islanders traded right wing T.J. Levins to St. Louis Blues for right wing Jani Rita

13-3-2011 DAL-STL trade
Dallas Stars traded right wing Jim Spezza and defenseman Juraj Bellas to St. Louis Blues for the infamous Mike Jeffers…. I mean Danton

These were the only trades of any significance…

23-3-2011 Antropov has really turned it on after having a very slow start to the season….he just reached the 30 goal plato, and has entered the top 10 in scoring….

29-3-2011 Nik Antropov reaches career high !
Nik Antropov marked a new career high in points with 72 after scoring in tonights game against Philadelphia Flyers on a feed by Jason Williams. Yes, it does feel great, he said after the game.

Like I said, he has really come one, and is playing great….

17-10-2011 Karel Pilar injured.
Karel Pilar (TOR) suffered wrist injury during the game in an incident with Alexei Mikhnov (EDM). He is expected to be sidelined for more than a month. We have to play as a team in my absence. We're not playing the system right now and we're only playing 40 minutes of hockey every night, while the other team is playing 60. That's not good enough. I hope we get it in gear by the time I return, he said while limping toward the dressing room.

Jan Martinec…heres your chance….

28-10-2011 Michael Deadmarsh gets goal number 7…in 10 games….so some quick math…that’s about a 56 goal season….

16-11-2011 We aren’t playing like I thought we would……not even close…..Defense has been suspect…..52 goals allowed in 18 games…and Michael Deadmarsh is passing too much….he has 11 goals,…and 10 assists…..shot the puck…I want 50…..

21-11-2011 Alexei Ponikarovsky reaches a milestone !
Alexei Ponikarovsky scored the 300th point of his career in tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators. I hope this will get me in Don Cherry's good books, the happy player commented.
HOORAY…go Alex……………

19-1-2012 NEWSFLASH…..the NHL has shocked the world
18-1-2012 Toronto Maple Leafs players named to All-Star Game
The following players from Toronto Maple Leafs were named to this year's All-Star Game:
-Nik Antropov
-Jeff Woywitka
-Michael Deadmarsh

Sure….Deadmash is 6th in the league in goals…..Antropov is 4th in the league in scoring, and Woywitka leads the league in defense scoring…..but I still am shocked that there will be Maple Leafs at this years all-star game…..

26-1-2012 Toronto Maple Leafs trade
Toronto Maple Leafs traded Mark Vyrubov and John Mitchell to Calgary Flames for CGY's round 1 pick in 2013

10-3-2012 Mike Card injured.
Mike Card (TOR) suffered chest injury during the game in an incident with Jean-Claude Sawyer (FLA). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. Right now I'm at about 30%, but with 4-6 weeks off the Doctors say I'll be back in full form, he said to the press.

1st round of the playoffs:

Leafs favored to win the series in 5…..Mike Card wont be back for the series….Andrei Rosovsky may return….but I don’t know if im gonna play him….Ive got Devan Janke up….who I like better right now…..

Goalie Matchup: Mikael Tellqvist (41-16-2-5, 2.41gaa, .905sp) vs. Ray Emery (29-29-1-10, 3.33gaa, .889sp)

Game 1: Greg Spicer scores 3 minutes in….with the assist to MacGyver….Im telling you….MacGyver will win us a stanley cup……Andrei Zyuzin ties it…..but Michael Deadmarsh and Nik Antropov give us a 2 goal lead after 2…..Paatelainen and Lundmark score in the 3rd……Final: 5-2 Tor

Game 2: Andrew Peters gives Ottawa a 1-0 lead after 1…..Pronger and Antropov give us the lead…..but Eric Staal and Shane Doan take it back….3-2 after 2…..Jason Williams ties it…….9 minutes left……They get a penalty….they kill it…..2 mins remain when…..Deadmarsh…knocks the puck down…..plays it behind the net to Spicer…..fakes one way…..around the other…trying to stuff it in…..INFRONT SCORES!!!!!!....MACGYVER…..the puck squirted loose right infront of net…..and MacGyver swatted it in up high…..1:04 left…..Final: 4-3 Tor

MacGyver with a goal and a assist in game 2……This guy can do anything…..I don’t think MacGyver will come out when Mike Card comes back

Game 3: Poni and Jason Williams put us up 2….but Litwak gets one back….2-1 after 1…..No scoring in the 2nd…..Charles Hudon ties it with 13 minutes left…..OT…..8 seconds in….Lundmark….wins the draw…..Deadmarsh….over to Woywitka…..SCORES!!!!!......the shoot-in deflected off a Senator stick and fooled Emery….Final: 3-2 Tor in OT

15-4-2012 Nik Antropov injured.
Nik Antropov (TOR) suffered chest injury during the game in an incident with Andrew Peters (OTT). He is expected to be sidelined for a couple of months. We have to play as a team in my absence. We're not playing the system right now and we're only playing 40 minutes of hockey every night, while the other team is playing 60. That's not good enough. I hope we get it in gear by the time I return, he said to the press.

F%&#in Ottawa….it never fails…….DIRTIEST TEAM EVER…Rosovsky is back….

Game 4: Sheldon Keefe and Jamie Lundmark have the game tied after 1…..Greg Spicer….from Mac gives us the lead…..Antti Miettinen ties it…..after 2…..Eric Staal scores early in the 3rd….Colaiacovo….battling for the puck……squirts loose….Janke…..SCORES!!!!.....beats Emery stick side…..tied at 3….8 mins left……OT…..Williams….blocks the shot…..he’s got a breakaway….Fakes….to the backhand….SCORES!!!!.....LEAFS WIN THE SERIES…….Final: 4-3 Tor in OT….

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS WIN SERIES 4-0

Chicago also sweeps…..Nashville wins in 5….Atlanta and Tampa also take it in 5….Minnesota and Anaheim advance in 6…..Philly beats Boston in 7…told you

Jarome has had a fine career......playing his whole career so far with 1 team...although he has never won a stanley cup....He's a free agent this year....and though i dont like signing free agents, and I'd like to see him remain in Calgary....I will consider signing him......
