I'm very, very lucky some random guy off the street didn't come up to me and say "I'll quadruple all of your possessions if Carson Palmer throws for over 400 yards and 6 TD's today and the Bengals lose. If he throws for 400 and 6 and they win, I'll take everything you own and put you on thge street."

I'd be on the street with a will work for food sign if that were to have happened.

I may be seeing it wrong, but I think you have it backwards.

Anyways, I hate those random guys always offering to quadruple my wealth. I just never know which way to go. Must be freakin' time travelers....

Also, the game is temporarily suspended.

Edit--due to inclement weather. Thunderstorm.

Brady James just had the easiest sack ever on the blitz up the middle for the Cowboys. No one touched himas he gets to Green before the RB can even get close to him to block him.

Wow... Boller is actually playing pretty well so far... 9/12, 75 yards and a TD as the Ravens lead the Jets 10-3.

If I was married to the woman yelling at the Dolphins-Cowboys game, I would gladly go to jail to punch her in the mouth.

The Cowboys are TRYING to let the Dolphins score before halftime, but Trent Green is doing everything he can do to avoid it.

So I just got back from the beach an hour ago and start to check back in on the real world, when I see it is opposite week in the NFL. In the pickem game, I got ONE correct from the 1:00 games, and that's only because I expected Houston to cover but still lose...

They have been out gained by 273 total net yards and have just 24 first downs in the first two weeks but are still 2-0

This was on the NFL site...

In addition to his three touchdowns, Favre threw one interception, giving him 255 for his career. He needs two more interceptions to tie the all-time record of 277 held by George Blanda. ...

I assume they messed it up and Blanda has the record with 257?

Although Alex Smith is showing signs of Harrington-itis (dumping the ball off at every opportunity), this 49er team is built much like the 2000 Ravens around a strong defense and running game.

In no way am I fooling myself into this being a legit Super Bowl contender, but if the 49er's could win the relative mediocre NFC West, I'd be a happy Niner fan.

If Romo had gotten that pass completed for a TD, that would have been one of the plays of the day in the NFL.

Hey, why are the stars white and yellow under the "C" for the team captains? What do they mean? I haven't seen anyone with more than one yellow star. Do they get colored yellow for each time they're a captain for a game?

He was on the field last week for a few plays. I'm messed up here because I missed the first 8 minutes of the game because it's shown on my local channels and they were showing the end of the freakin Bengals/Browns game instead of the Raiders. I haven't seen him on the field at all today, but then again, they only ran 28 offensive plays in the first half.

Also, really he's the only deep threat the Raiders have.

Edit--and he's buried underneath Curry, Porter, Taylor, and Big Mike Williams.

They get a yellow star for each year that they are a captain, starting with this year. I don't know what's gonna happen in 4 years when some of these guys are going on year #5 of being a captain.
