It was the best of JT Barrett, it was the worst of JT Barrett.

The Wiscy secondary is WAY slower than the OSU receivers.

The question of whether the Big 10 West had great defenses or terrible offenses is being answered rather clearly.

OR it could be a matchup issue in which Ohio State probably has the fastest team in the nation while Wisconsin while disciplined and tough on defense doesnt have the speed to match Ohio State. Probably another overreaction like is common in this thread.

Or it could be that Wisconsin played a pathetic schedule in the weak half of a weak conference and they aren't actually better than a barely top 40 team.

Oklahoma held OSU to 16 points and 350 yards. So were the Big 10 fans overreacting to how bad their defense is? |

Good one! Don't forget about Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, NC, Iowa or any of the other remaining 21 schools that also wanted him enough to extend a scholarship offer. Penn State pulled his offer so I guess they didn't want him that bad after all. |

I have no idea how much Big 10 fans were overreacting.(Did they even care that much about Oklahoma's defense?) Oklahoma's defense in the middle of the season was pathetic, they have improved from that. Last edited by jbergey22 : 12-02-2017 at 08:43 PM. |

Wisconsin's defensive injuries finally catching up to them at safety. Make the tackles and dunno what the score would be..
We are a second half team so we will see what's up. |

Glad GA won which means an increased chance of Gus considering AR.
With OSU beating Wisconsin, I would hope for GA and AL in top 4. |

I like Norvell, but I want to see him do it without Fuente's guys.
Novell is a good young coach. But I'm not sure he has demonstrated the roster management or recruiting chops to deserve an SEC HC spot. |

I'm not sold on Gus and his lunatic wife.
Maybe best OC in the nation, mediocre HC. I'll say it again, Mike Leach is the PEFECT fit for Arkansas. I think he'd win an SEC title at least there. |

Just caught up on that AR forum thread. Checked out the Memphis Tigers thread also. Some confusion if both threads are relying on each other and possibly just reinforcing BS. I hope we'll know pretty soon either way Gus-Norvell-lost both, tired of not knowing. |

I'm not sure I've ever seen the turf rip up like in the OSU/Wiscy game.

Does OSU consider switching QBs? Barrett is 10/23, he's completed 1 pass more than 15 yards downfield, he's missed 3-4 wide open TD passes, and they still have nearly 400 yards.

That poor guy trying to fix the endzone turf.
You wouldn't think they could fix it well enough where it would be "safe" or wouldn't be torn up on the very next play. I guess we'll find out soon enough. |

Another terrible pass by Barrett. Both INTs were his fault, he missed several open TD passes, and with a chance to put the game away he misses an easy pass into the flat. OSU has dominated and Barrett's misses and INTs have kept it close.

Barrett didn't play too well, but shit, wasn't even sure he would play. People already forgot he did have minor surgery and has a bum knee?? Anyway, glad to see JT get to actually PLAY in the BIG Champ game and win. Highs and lows, but he has had a hell of a career and I will miss him after his next game or possibly 2 games. He battles and that isnt up for debate.
I'll leave this here: 1)Clemson 2)Oklahoma 3)Georgia 4).........OSU Sorry Bama, you dont deserve it and they arent taking 2 teams from the same conference...yet. Goodnight. |

I'm happy the Badgers avoided 59-0. OSU had the clear talent edge and without a few boners by Barrett it's probably not close. But that's why they play the game. I won't hate on Hornibrook. He makes mistakes and you can't have him throwing 40 times, but he's a sophomore that can someday aspire to be Joel Stave.
Congrats to the OSU fans on here. |

I don't understand how anyone would consider OSU at 4. Alabama's only loss was to Auburn and OSU barely beats a team that everyone ripped for not playing anyone. Has everyone forgotten the OSU-Iowa game?

Did Alabama really get challenged this year? Yes, once. And they lost to Auburn. Ohio State has two top 10 wins, and three wins better than Alabama's best win. Alabama also suffers from having their marquee out of conference win end up not looking very good. But we'll see.

I vote for Alabama at #4 and give them the benefit of doubt.
OSU slipped in over conference champion Penn State last year so this thing about conference champions is lessened. TBH, I feel sorry most for Auburn. They had a fantastic year but just came up short against GA. Some humor similar to what's going on at all the College football forums. http://collegefootballnews.com/2017/...yoff-no-4-spot Last edited by Edward64 : 12-03-2017 at 06:57 AM. |

Isn’t this the year to reward UCF for an undefeated season before taking a two loss team? I know it’s about money so they aren’t getting in over OSU or Bama but when does a power conference team get eliminated? 3 losses? 4 losses?

I was really impressed with how the Scott Frost departure from UCF was handled by both sides. I am sure the win helped with the reactions of all, but it was cool to see nonetheless. It is possible for a coach to leave a program without ducking the players and it is possible for the players to see a coach leave a program with out disrespecting the coach that gave them an opportunity at the school.

BS. Ohio State has 0 wins against actual good teams. Their "top 10" wins are against teams that also played and beat nobody. OSU lost by 15 at home to their only really good opponent. Wisconsin isn't a top 10 team in any version of reality. PSU didn't play anyone and lost a couple of games. MSU played one decent team, ND, and got blown out. USC has as much claim at OSU. Bama and Auburn both have a better argument. The real debate should be UCF and Bama since the AAC was better than the B1G this year. Last edited by CrescentMoonie : 12-03-2017 at 08:16 AM. |
