2. The 2nd officer can make 1 promotion that goes into effect tomorrow. As you're one of the few I trust in an away mission, I'm not sure it makes sense to waste an AP promoting someone. 3. They can't be attacked during the day, so we don't need to worry about this. That's why I think if we're stuck here, we may as well attack the overlord. Since our only hope seems to be in things not documented in the rules, I'd say that means we should have an away mission with out best combat forces fighting the overlord, and our scientists should continue whatever work they've been doing. Maybe something useful will come out of these longshots. If not, it's not like we can lose worse one way or another. I'd send an away mission of Sndvls, Schmidty, Swaggs, Bek and myself against the overlord, unless anyone has a better idea. That way Alan can still promote someone, and the engineers and scientists can do their work. -Talgian $.02 |

I say that we attack the overlord. It's not like we are going to liftoff tomorrow anyways.
Make all 3 engineers repair the engine room. Send out Alan, Schmidty, SnDvls, Swaggs and myself out to finish him off.

Right now I feel my ability to promote someone is more valuable than me going on an away mission. I think our ability to safeguard our supplies, crew and ship at night is pretty important right now

I would put Dubbs in my place. I trust him strongly after our last mission. Also probably rather have you go than Sndvls.

Im guessing that is still the case (assuming that didnt change when I no longer am security chief. I have no idea). I'll go if everyone thinks its for the best. Means another day without a medic or with Swaggs or Bek with no role thats helpful at night. |

Something fishy going on around here. I have some thoughts, but I'll wait until after today's mission to state them.
Heading off to bed after a late night (6am here). Will check in a few hours. |

I going to sip White Russians (the drink, not the ladies) and dream of getting home...and work on the engine room.

There is a flurry of early morning activity. First Coffee Warlord and then a short time later, Fouts goes into his respective lab. Coffee comes out a little while later, looking exhuasted, but radiant.
Meanwhile muttering about incompetent security, path takes his tool kit and heads down to the engines. He is joined by the always eccentric, but brilliant engineer, Qwikshot[color=blue]. |

Before too much discussion can begin, the last reamining Engineer Anxiety goes to work on the Engines. Throughout the day you hear beanging at random parts of the ship and not a little amount of swearing coming from the Engine Room. Those three are hard at work alright...

Alright, I'm going to send Sndvls, myself, Schmidty, Swaggs, and Dubb. King is wounded, and I don't want to risk losing the warden. Only two people are exhausted, but they're also our best fighters, so hopefully that will balance a bit. We'll have a total of 4 phasers (Schmidty's and then three others), so I think we'd be in decent shape then. Sound like a plan? Coffee, care to share why we're radiant today? We need good news. -Talgian $.02 |

Mission sent with the above team. I don't know if BK is going to randomly distribute the 3 phasers amongst the 4 eligible players, or if he will have to have dubb do it, but we're on our way at least.

As the morning continues some of the crew members notice that the sky above has seemed to darken ever so slightly as though it has been changed. What what was merely menacing before now seems ominous.
But this does not stop Talgian from planning another away mission. After he plans he announces that a group made up of SnDvls, Talgian, Swaggs, Dubb, and Schmidty are going to go at once to try and finish off the overlord. The crew eagerly awaits to hear the results of their mission... Not to be TOO much of a tease but expect results in 1-2 hours. I have something I am going to do and then it will take a half hour or so to type up the resuls and such. |

The crew awaits having done little while the away team was out. A small cheer goes up when all five members of the team come back. However, they are clearly hurting and it takes a bit for the group to rest for the story of what happened in the Overlord’s caves to come out.

It seems like I tried my best, but it was really rough going during the fight. We tried to go after the Overlord, all at once, but I got hurt pretty badly. I am not afraid to admit that I was a little bit scared, as it was an experience unlike any I have ever had, but I kept fighting and fighting until ordered to retreat. I find it hard to fathom how dubb came out of the battle uninjured. My gut tells me that we have little to no chance of ever defeating the Overlord.

Just to add before I leave, I think we need to focus on lifting off and hope that one of the weapons that our scientists are developing are ready before we attack the Overlord again. I got the distinct impression that we could not defeat the Overlord with our current weapons and plan of attack.

I think we need to focus on the following:
-Engineers keep working on the engines -Security, we need guards on: Engines + engineers Cargo Hold Water Pump -Look at suspects for today's lynch -Promotions -Scientists continue their work. I hate telegraphing moves, but we have 3 vital places to guard and 3 guards for them right now. Any further delays are not good for us at all. If we can keep everything safeguarded we should be able to lift off tommorrow morning. For promotions, I am torn a little bit.. We have so many wounded that I think we need to look at getting a medic, but for right now I worry more about our security, and think it would be best to try to improve it some. Right now I am leaning towards making Swaggs a security crewman so he can do more for us at nights. Then tommorrow look at making Bek a medic. Any thoughts on this? I wouldn't mind some feedback to how Swaggs did during the mission today either. He seemed a bit critical of Dubbs, whom I trusted pretty strongly, but maybe I am reading too much into what he wrote there. |

Well, my PM said it was tough fighting from the get go, but I in particular had an interesting experience.
Someone attacked me. Someone who isn't the overlord (or at least somone who I don't think is the overlord). I also felt that the overlord could have been beaten, but we had to retreat due to mass wounding. So the real question is who is the traitor amongst us? I don't think it's sndvls. I notice that schmidty never fired his phaser, and that dubb is the only one who wasn't wounded. Strange times. -Talgian $.02 |

It was tough from the get go. Schmidty wanted to stop and pull out, however we as a group decided to forge ahead. It seemed to me that everyone was “trying” but it wasn’t working well. We did reach the Overlord’s lair, but as we all rushed the Overlord I or we felt a great stinging. I heard everyone else struggling too. Instead of turning it into a suicide mission we decided to retreat. Everyone but dubb was injured.

I forgot to put this in any of the writeups, but Swaggs was the one with out a phaser. Everyone else had one. No shots were fired.

I for one do trust sndvls, and it's essential we keep him clean. If he becomes a spawn, he won't issue the launch order, so we're all screwed. Coffee has made some big breakthrough, and I don't want to risk losing that. So that's two people I both trust and are important. 2/4 isn't just filling up, either.
Sndvls, can you share more of your information? I think it's mighty strange that Schmidty never fired his phaser, and that dubbs came out unscathed. -Talgian |

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you were filling up the brig. i agree with both of those choices. I meant that more in lines of thinking of others to add in there. Up till now I didn't really have great trust of alot of people other than Dubb, King, Anxiety.. but we need all three of them tonight for stuff. |
