Senior and a freshman isn't 5 years. I did have a rather large crush on a girl who would have been a freshmen when I was a senior, but she moved the summer before my senior year. And yes, I got picked on for it and it was sort of not exactly unmentioned issue between both our parents even being that "far" apart.

24/2 + 7 != 16

There's no way in hell a 24 year old would get near my 16 daughter if I had one. You are looking at somebody who is roughly a sophomore in HS dating somebody who should be locking down their career. I was SO clueless at 16. Age difference is one thing, but that's a mighty big jump in maturity stages.

Right, I get that. It just seems to be a pretty big leap between thinking that your sex partner won't rat you out and opening up the possibility that a third party might run across the video on his computer or cell phone.

I think the psychology of this often times is that subconsciously they are doing something this wrong and provactive to get caught. Some of it is probably just plain old lack of moral compass, but I bet more often than not, something's going on or has happened to trigger a teenage-like "do stupid shit until I get in trouble" response.

It's not stated the teacher was the one taking the video. The kid could have shot it and the parent found the video on the kid's phone.
