You posted as I was going back and collecting quotes. You have confirmed shark's claims about the manifest. This leads me to believe that CF never had the manifest at all, as he claims to know a name and a secret.

I have to concur with CR's logic, I think we may be dealing with a group of nefarious roles that when used together can take us out easily.

I don't think CF is the killer based on this information and Thomkal's killer profile (coward, waiting for weakened prey), but I don't think this means CF is off the hook at all, as it seems he has been lying unless a number of others are.

Assuming I can continue to interrogate folks there are a few things that should probably be considered.

1. They will get hurt
2. The amount of damage they take seems to depend on their stats compared to my own (physical I presume)
3. I have no idea if there is a stat involved with whether or not they divulge information (social perhaps?)

We have one badly wounded person and I suspect CF was not hurt as badly as CR. (This may be a good gauge of physical stats in comparison).

Filling the medical center with abused colonists will probably not be the best course of action.

I don't like this at all. Mission Control knows we have a murderer among us and possibly know abou the stowaway, but as long as we haven't turned into flesh craving Martian zombies, all is okay in their books.

Questions to ask is a bit open-ended for me. I wouldn't recommend something they're unlikely to answer (stuff we're not supposed to know About though they incompetently keep telling us). Information they should have that they would be willing to divulge. Information about what we might be facing for environmental difficulties. Ideas about what technologies would be most helpful to us?

I would like to see people focus on this as it's the most challenging task we have today and potentially could yield a high gain if we ask the questions well.

This decision seems to be a little more complex... not sure we need to know more about local agriculture at this point as we seem to be very healthy for the most part. We could have a need for stronger materials once our base gets larger and/or we start exploring off base. Water is not an issue right now as we are doing ok for biodome. I have to wonder if local agriculture and water will be needed to travel the surface. Longer trips may require both maybe? It seems like water could be a huge help if that is indeed the case and it also may be necessary for redundancy if the biodome is sabotaged. I need to hear everyone's thoughts on this item before I proceed with an option.

I find Chief's play to be pretty curious. It seems a bit rich to throw stones at CF for outing Shoveller when his reaction was to point at someone involved in law enforcement. After he admitted it wasn't Thomkal that kind of left Shoveler or Britrock on the table. Glass Houses and stones I feel.

I wonder idly to myself if we're not all the scum of society pumped full of drugs to make us forget. Maybe Autumn is a medical murderer but doesn't realise it himself. Maybe I've drugged people and killed them. Maybe we've all done terrible things and there's two manifests. One is doctored and official while the other is real. The chemicals might explain why CF is resistant to interrogation.


Or more easily, and thus more boringly, CF is as guilty as sin and is making up whatever he can to try and save himself.

I did the Thomkal accusation before I healed enough to know it was Shoveler. At that point, I was not aware who had interrogated me.

I suggested Thomkal as the most likely possiblitility as a Sheriff who might have been exercising likely police powers.

I think that with the current status of our communicator, any answers we get will be partial, broken answers anyway. All past communications with Earth have been full of static, so we should expect the same from any questions we ask. Perhaps we need to ask questions with short concise answers (yes/no questions?) to avoid adding further ambiguity?

Any thoughts on who to have as Font's assistant? Seems there are leader types like Zinto and DanGarion that could be useful, but I don't have any strong feelings.

As for the scientists, I'd throw my hat in for water.

I'd be happy to volunteer to guard one of our injured crewmates, especially if Thomkal thinks that's an appropriate deployment of his police force.

As for actions, a defense is a great idea, and I'm not opposed. I'm just going to continue to push for completing the collection of our supplies, to give us materials with which to better accomplish everything else we undertake.
